Orlando Pirates news: New coach confirmed, Tanzanian target

Orlando Pirates have announced that they will keep recent interim coach Mandla Ncikazi as a technical advisor. The 56-year-old managed four games at the end of last season, winning once and drawing the rest.
'Coach Mandla Ncikazi has served the club well and professionally in the different roles and for that he is valued highly,' a source confirmed.
'Moreover, he has a contract with the club until next year and he is allowed to stay until then. Part of the plans include him continuing to serve in the technical team for next season.'
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates' bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs are eyeing Tanzanian Premier League specialist Maxwell Nzengeli.
'At the moment the club has not yet signed some of the players who they want nor those they are looking at. It's believed that they are spreading the search wide so that they can get the kind of players they really need this season,' an inside source said.
'Apparently, Maxwell Nzengeli is one player they are also looking at. Coach Nabi knows him already, and the scouts and recruiters are also believed to have liked him and are looking at the possibility of getting him, depending on the conditions around the transfer.'
Meanwhile, both clubs are monitoring star midfielder Rowan Human:
'AmaZulu FC midfielder Rowan Human has been offered to Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs by his representatives as he is set to leave the club on a free transfer. Human will leave Usuthu at the end of June after his contract expires after the 24-year-old failed to reach an agreement with the club on a new contract,' a source revealed.
'Human has been offered to both Soweto giants by his representatives and it could only be a matter of time before he gets snapped up as he will be a free agent and rediscovered his old form.'
