Samsung Galaxy S25 FE tipped to feature slim design and even thinner bezels

India Today7 hours ago

Before Samsung could make it official, a new leak revealed a few details around the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. The company brings the FE variant with every Galaxy S series, and the S25 is also expected to witness the same. While it is a toned-down version, the phone may cut the edge on a few specs as compared to the Galaxy S25 variant. However, the new leaks suggest that the design will go slim, and the bezels will be even slimmer. This latest sneak peek comes courtesy of leaker OnLeaks and the tech site SammyGuru. And although it's hardly surprising that someone's dug up these renders, what's really exciting is that this is the first proper look at the S25 FE's design so far. Let's take a look.advertisementSamsung Galaxy S25 FE design leakThat design, it seems, is an evolution rather than a full overhaul. The Galaxy S25 FE doesn't stray too far from the visual language of its predecessor, last year's Galaxy S24 FE, but there are some welcome tweaks. According to SammyGuru, the new model features noticeably slimmer bezels that will help it look more modern and refined. Another key change is its profile; at just 7.4mm thick, the Galaxy S25 FE is leaner than last year's 8mm version. When you put those numbers side by side — 161.4 x 76.6 x 7.4mm — you can see Samsung is serious about slimming things down without shrinking the screen.

Speaking of screens, the Galaxy S25 FE is tipped to pack a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That's par for the course for Samsung at this point — its Galaxy S24 FE and S25 flagship series already sport smooth 120Hz panels. The big question is whether this one will offer the adaptive refresh rate tech Samsung reserves for its priciest phones. Given that it's already present across much of the range, it would make sense for Samsung to continue this tradition in the S25 FE too.Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: What to expect
Of course, the hardware under the surface is just as hotly anticipated. Prior leaks and rumours have hinted that the S25 FE will get an upgraded front camera and a refined main camera setup on the back, perfect for anyone who loves their social selfies or capturing crisp shots on the move. That said, we'll need to wait for more concrete details before knowing exactly what new tricks the cameras can pull.Fans of this 'Fan Edition' range will also be glad to see that Samsung appears to have carried over its trademark aesthetic — a clean, minimalist style with a neat arrangement of cameras. And while these renders don't give away every secret feature, they do include a 360-degree video that lets you explore the device from every angle. SammyGuru has uploaded this clip too, so tech-watchers can pore over every curve.
Ultimately, the Galaxy S25 FE looks set to deliver exactly what its audience expects — a flagship-style phone with some premium perks, a refreshed look and an affordable price. Given Samsung's proven track record in the FE space, there's every reason to believe this will also be amongst the competitive mid-premium smartphones of the year. While these renders reveal several details, we advise you to wait for an official notification. Until then, take these details with a pinch of salt.

iPhone 18 is likely not coming next year: 7 things to know

Apple is reportedly planning a major shift in its iPhone launch strategy, and if recent leaks are accurate, 2026 may not see the release of the regular iPhone 18 model. This would be a notable change in Apple's usual approach, where the company typically announces all mainline models — including the base, Pro, and Max variants — together at its annual launch event. But that long-standing pattern could change. Here are 7 key things to 18 is likely not coming next year: 7 things to knowStandard iPhone 18 may skip 2026According to known industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and a report by The Information, Apple will skip the launch of the base iPhone 18 model in 2026. Instead, the company is expected to introduce only the premium versions of the iPhone 18 lineup, namely, the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and possibly a new Slim (or Air) model. The regular iPhone 18, which usually serves as the entry point to Apple's latest generation, may not arrive alongside iPhone 18 and 18e may launch in 2027Leaks claim that the launch of the standard iPhone 18 and a more affordable iPhone 18e model have been pushed to early 2027. If true, this means users who typically wait for the non-Pro versions could be looking at a delay of up to six months compared to the usual September timeline. So, instead of hosting a single annual iPhone event, Apple is said to be planning two separate iPhone launch events. A move likely to compete with Android flagshipsadvertisement One of the reasons behind this new strategy could be competition. Android brands like Samsung, OnePlus, Vivo, and iQOO tend to launch their flagship phones between December and January. By shifting the timeline of its base model launches to the first half of the year, Apple might be aiming to challenge that momentum and stay in the spotlight iPhone expected in late 2026Apple is also rumoured to be working on its first foldable iPhone, which could arrive as part of the late 2026 event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series. The inclusion of a foldable in this phase further reinforces the idea that this launch event will be focused entirely on premium space for Pro modelsBy separating the premium and affordable models, Apple may be trying to give its flagship devices more breathing room. Rather than having them share attention with lower-priced models, the Pro and foldable iPhones could enjoy a dedicated stage, keeping Apple's top-of-the-line offerings in wait could impact buyer sentimentWhile this change might benefit Apple from a business and marketing point of view, not all consumers might be happy. Many people prefer the base iPhones for their price-to-performance balance. If they have to wait longer, some might end up exploring Android alternatives, especially if those devices offer similar performance or better value around the same time.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 fresh leak leaves little to the imagination before rumoured July 9 launch

July is fast approaching, and so is the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumoured to take place on July 9. At this event, Samsung is expected to announce a range of foldables and wearables. However, the spotlight of the show — as it always has been with mid-year Unpacked events — will be on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. That said, we don't need to wait until July to know about the upcoming Samsung foldables, as the duo — Fold and Flip — have leaked in all their glory, leaving little to the imagination. advertisementFolks over at Android Headlines have got their hands on some alleged 'official' renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both phones look amazing, especially in the new blue colour and how sleek they appear. Speaking of which, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is super thin, and you only realise it when you see it next to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Galaxy Z Fold 7 (left) and Galaxy Z Fold 6 (right) / Credit: Android Headlines Without further ado, let's start with the details on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. This phone is said to come in two colours: Jet Black and Blue Shadow. The latter shade will remind you of the Galaxy S24's blue variant, and it looks absolutely fire. Apart from this, the rumours about its slimness are also turning out to be true — or at least if the leaks are to be believed. The phone looks astonishingly slim against the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and it will reportedly measure between 3.9mm and 4.5mm in thickness when unfolded. For perspective, the OPPO Find N5 is currently the thinnest foldable, with a 4.2mm thickness when unfolded. Will the Fold 7 beat it? We'll find out soon. Galaxy Z Fold 7 / Credit: Android Headlines advertisement In terms of weight, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to weigh 215 grams — making it 24 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and about 14 grams lighter than the OPPO Find N5. To give you a sense, the Galaxy S25 Ultra weighs 218 grams. So, if you've ever held one of those, you may get somewhat of an idea of how the Fold 7 might feel in the from this, other leaks suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a 6.5-inch cover display along with an 8.2-inch inner display. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and is rumoured to come with a triple-rear camera system, led by a 200-megapixel primary to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 — this one is about to get sleeker than ever. Again, not that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was bulky or anything, but looking at the renders and when you see the Galaxy Z Flip 7 next to the Flip 6, it's hard not to notice how the upcoming model is substantially slimmer. We also expect it to be lighter than the previous model. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 measures 6.9mm when unfolded and weighs 187 grams. This is rumoured to be 4 inches in size, compared to the 3.4-inch cover screen on the Flip 6. Also, similar to the Fold, the renders show the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the Blue Shadow and Jet Black colourways. Galaxy Z Flip 7 / Credit: Android Headlines Other rumours suggest a Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Exynos 2500 chip under the hood, paired with a 4,000mAh battery and at least 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The camera setup is also expected to remain the same as the older Flip 6 — i.e. a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, along with a 10-megapixel front camera for selfies and video said — while the renders and leaks share a lot of information about Samsung's foldables, and as we said, leave very little to the imagination — these are, at the end of the day, just leaks. Until Samsung makes anything official, we'd suggest you take all the information with a huge grain of is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 during the Unpacked event, rumoured to take place on July 9. Other devices expected at the event include the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE — the company's first-ever Fan Edition foldable phone, the Galaxy G Fold — Samsung's heavily rumoured triple-fold phone, along with the Galaxy Watch 8 series, including the Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch Ultra tuned to India Today Tech for all the latest on Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones and the Galaxy Unpacked event.
