Turki Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh has been appointed President of the Saudi Boxing Federation for the 2024-2028 term.
In addition to his role as Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Al-Sheikh has been involved in organizing international boxing events in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh Season's 'Battle of the Baddest' (Fury vs. Ngannou).
His appointment is expected to support the continued development of boxing in the Kingdom, with a focus on improving infrastructure, promoting local talent, and hosting international competitions in line with the goals of Vision 2030.

Saudi Al-Hilal set sights on CWC last 16 after draw with Real Madrid
Fullback João Cancelo, who joined Al-Hilal on loan from Barcelona in January, said the squad's international pedigree meant they never felt overawed by a Madrid line-up stacked with stars such as Vinícius Júnior and Luka Modrić. 'Each of us plays for his national team – that shows our level,' Cancelo told reporters. 'It's hard against the best players in the world, but we showed we belong.' Defender Hassan Tambakti highlighted Inzaghi's role for precising a game-plan that blunted the 14-time European champions. 'The coach gave us clear instructions on Madrid's strengths and weaknesses and we executed most of them,' Tambakti said. 'It was tough for both sides, but Al-Hilal are also a big team who can face anyone.' Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, whose stoppage-time penalty save from Federico Valverde rescued the point, downplayed his personal heroics and highlighted what he called a 'tactically smart' performance. 'Penalties need instinct and luck, yes, but the decisive factor was our tactics,' Bounou said. 'We pressed when we had to and defended when we had to.' Skipper Salem al-Dawsari, a veteran of three World Cups with Saudi Arabia, said the draw underlined the strength of the Saudi Pro League and set a platform for qualification. 'We didn't come for tourism; we came to honor our country,' he said. 'Our goal is the round of 16, then we go step by step.' The result marked the first time an Arab side had avoided defeat against a European champion in 11 attempts at the Club World Cup. It was also the first time any Asian team had taken a point off Madrid, who had won all 14 previous meetings with Asian opposition. Gonzalo García opened the scoring for Madrid in the 34 th minute before Rúben Neves levelled from the spot seven minutes later. Madrid coach Xabi Alonso and Inzaghi were both making their competitive debuts after replacing Carlo Ancelotti and Jorge Jesus respectively before the tournament. Group H also includes Mexico's Pachuca and Austria's Salzburg. The top two advance to the last 16. Al-Hilal face Pachuca on Monday, while Madrid will take on Salzburg the following day. Real Madrid held by Al-Hilal in Alsonso's debut
A large contingent of Real fans in a crowd of 62,415 at the Hard Rock Stadium were left frustrated after new manager Xabi Alonso's first game in charged ended with the points shared. For the Saudi club, with Italian Simone Inzaghi also making his debut on the bench, it was an impressive performance where they caused Real's defence plenty of problems before securing a hugely encouraging surprise result. Al-Hilal started off in effervescent fashion and went close in the 19th minute when Salem Aldawsari volleyed back in to the box and Marcos Leonardo's effort flew just wide. Renan Lodi had the ball in the net for the Saudi side but the effort was ruled out for offside from another dangerous break Aldawsari showed his pace but dragged his shot just wide. Real gradually gained more control over the game and Rodrygo went close in the 31st minute when he cut in from the right and his left-foot effort zipped just over the bar. But Real's quality was starting to shine through and they grabbed the lead in the 34th minute. Gonzalo, starting in place of the absent Kylian Mbappe, started the break from deep and a clever exchange of passes concluded with Rodrygo drilling a low ball into the box where Gonzalo, who had continued his run, provided a delicate finish. It was a classic counter-attacking goal but it did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the Saudi side who continued to press forward with energy. Four minutes before the break, they drew level when Raul Asencio was ruled to have pulled down Marcos Leonardo and Portugal international Ruben Neves calmly tucked away the penalty. The dangerous Aldawsari, who scored the winner for Saudi Arabia in their upset win over Argentina at the World Cup in Qatar, threatened again just before the break. But Real came out strongly after the interval with Arda Guler introduced at the break rattling the bar with a volley from a Vinicius Jr. cross. Moments later, Gonzalo brought a fine save out of Yassine Bounou with a firm header from a Vinicius crosss and then Valverde flashed a shot wide from 25 yards out. Having survived that storm from Real, Al-Hilal began to creep back into the game and ask some questions again of the Real defence. But with three minutes of normal time remaining Real were handed the chance to take all three points when Mohammed Al Qahtani was ruled to have put his hand in the face of Fran Garcia as he tried to hold off the challenge of the Real left-back. But Valverde's shot was saved by the diving Bounou to give the Saudi team a point after a hugely creditable performance.
