Wallbox and PowerGo Announce Collaboration to Deploy EV Charging Solutions Across Hotels in the Netherlands
BARCELONA, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wallbox (NYSE: WBX), a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions, has announced a collaboration with charge point operator PowerGo to accelerate the deployment of AC and DC charging infrastructure across Essendi hotels in the Netherlands. This collaboration brings together Wallbox's advanced charging technology and PowerGo's renewable energy-powered infrastructure to support the country's growing demand for sustainable mobility.
The installations will feature Wallbox's Em4, a robust AC charger designed for high-traffic environments, and Supernova, the company's high-efficiency DC fast charger. Both models are designed to support a seamless user experience, remote management, and integration with renewable energy sources, aligned with PowerGo's green charging solutions.
The collaboration has already reached key milestones, starting with Mercure Amsterdam City, where the first installation became operational. Since May, guests and visitors have been able to charge their EVs at six 22 kW AC charging points, with two 150 kW DC charging points planned to be installed once the upgraded grid connection is in place. In June, Novotel Amsterdam City also became operational, offering two 150 kW DC and six 22 kW AC charging points. These installations mark the beginning of a potential broader rollout within Essendi's hotel portfolio in the Netherlands.
Upcoming installations are expected at multiple hotel locations in the provinces of North Holland and South Holland, including the Ibis and Ibis Budget Amsterdam Airport hotels at Schiphol, as well as the Novotel in Rotterdam Brainpark.
'At Wallbox, we develop smart charging solutions that make electrification accessible and scalable,' said Eduard Castañeda, Chief Fast Charging Officer and Co-Founder of Wallbox. 'Collaboration with PowerGo aims to deliver high-performance charging experiences in key locations, combining smart features, ease of use and robust design, while also showcasing the Wallbox portfolio.'
PowerGo, a subsidiary of solar energy specialist PowerField, operates more than 1,700 public charging points across seven European countries. Its network is powered by solar energy generated from PowerField's solar parks, offering a truly green charging experience. By leveraging in-house expertise with strategic partnerships, PowerGo plays a leading role in accelerating the rollout of fast and public EV charging infrastructure.
'Our partnership with Wallbox enables us to expand the charging network across the Netherlands,' said Sander Bos, Project Manager for the Netherlands at PowerGo. 'By combining their technology with our solutions, we provide our partners and EV drivers with a reliable and future-proof charging experience. This collaboration is a great step towards making electric mobility more accessible and supporting a greener future.'

How WhiteBIT Coin Soared 35% This Week
WhiteBIT Coin jumped 35% this week after announcing a sponsorship with Italian soccer club Juventus. The crypto-trading service also sponsors FC Barcelona and offers a co-branded Visa debit card. Be careful with this skyrocketing coin. 10 stocks we like better than WhiteBIT Coin › The WhiteBIT Coin (CRYPTO: WBT) cryptocurrency is surging this week, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence. The native coin of the WhiteBIT crypto exchange rose 35% from Friday's market close to 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, boosted by another big-ticket sports club sponsorship. This Monday, WhiteBIT became the sleeve sponsor and official crypto exchange of the popular Italian soccer club Juventus. The three-year deal sparked an immediate boost in WhiteBIT coin prices, along with lots of media headlines and social media discussions. Long story short, the Juventus partnership will introduce the WhiteBIT brand name to a large new audience, which in turn should be good news for the integrated cryptocurrency in the long run. This isn't WhiteBIT's first high-powered sponsorship, or even its first agreement with world-class soccer clubs. The group already sponsors the equally well-known FC Barcelona club in Spain, and offers a co-branded Visa debit card linked to WhiteBIT's cryptocurrency accounts. The WhiteBIT Coin is the closest thing to buying stock in the WhiteBIT company at this point, since it hasn't issued shares on any stock exchange. WhiteBIT has been around since 2018, headquartered in Lithuania but with main offices in Ukraine and lots of remote workers in other European countries. WhiteBIT is one of the 30 most active cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. Raising its international profile with sponsorships like Juventus and FC Barcelona could push this exchange to the next level, eventually competing on a global stage against the likes of Binance and Again, that would be great for the exchange's own coin, which facilitates smoother transactions and interest-like staking functions on the WhiteBIT trading platform. After this week's surge, the coin has now skyrocketed 421% in 52 weeks, punctuated by this Juventus contract and a pair of milestones reached in October 2024. The company signed up its 5 millionth customer and mined its 300th Bitcoin block that month. The FC Barcelona partnership has been around since 2022, and the Visa card provided a smaller boost to the WhiteBIT Coin. The coin may be an integral part of a specific non-U.S. crypto exchange, but you can actually buy it on many of the leading American platforms. With a $4.3 billion market cap today, the WhiteBIT Coin looks like a promising international growth story -- but keep in mind that a foreign cryptocurrency isn't the same thing as an American stock. It's unclear exactly how WhiteBIT's emerging business profile might translate into crypto-coin price gains over time. Be careful with this idea, especially while prices are soaring like a rocket. Paris Air Show: Airbus gets nearly $21 billion in orders
Airbus executive vice president for sales of the commercial aircraft business, Benoit de Saint-Exupery (L), the Airbus chief executive officer of the commercial aircraft business Christian Scherer (C) and the chief executive officer of LOT Polish Airlines, Michal Fijol show agreement documents for purchasing Airbus A220-100 and A220-300 passenger jets at the 55th edition of the International Paris Air Show on Monday. Photo by Christophe Petit Tesson/ EPA-EFE June 19 (UPI) -- During the Paris Air Show, Airbus on Thursday reported robust orders of nearly $21 billion, while Boeing was in the background as it struggles with a host of issues. The European aircraft manufacturer reported 142 firm orders and an additional 102 jets under provisional agreements. Airbus customers include Saudi lessor AviLease and LOT Polish Airlines, with 40 orders each. All Nippon Airways ordered 27 jets and Riyadh Air ordered 25 A350-1000 wide bodies. Starlux in Taiwan ordered 10 Airbus airliners and EgyptAir expanded an order from 10 to 16 jets. Boeing kept a low profile at the Paris Air Show, but recently got a Qatar Airways 210 airliner order during an official U.S. government diplomatic visit in the Middle East. Despite Airbus orders surging at the air show, both aircraft manufacturers are experiencing backlogged orders as they continue to face supply issues. Air Lease Corp CEO John Plueger told CNBC, "Both Airbus and Boeing are all sold out to 2031 and '32 anyway. So how many follow-on orders into the '33, '34, '35 time frame are you really going to see? ... But overall, the demand environment remains very robust." An Airbus order and delivery summary as of May 2025 shows total orders at 24,836. Boeing did not do aircraft fly-bys or major promotions at the Paris show. CEO Kelly Ortberg was to attend, but that plan was disrupted by the Air India Boeing Dreamliner crash, which claimed at least 280 lives, including 39 people on the ground.
