Egypt: Dahab Developments begins delivery of units in ITC project at New Capital
Egypt - Dahab Developments has announced the delivery of the first phase of its Iconic Trinity Complex (ITC) project, located in the New Administrative Capital, to its clients.
The company confirmed that the units are fully furnished and finished, reflecting its commitment to handing over projects according to the agreed timelines and highest quality standards.
Nader Adeeb Maawad, Chairperson of Dahab Developments, stated that the company has successfully executed, completed, and delivered fully integrated residential, commercial, and administrative projects spanning more than 150,000 square meters across several areas, including New Cairo. This milestone underscores the company's growing footprint and dedication to delivering high-quality developments in Egypt's evolving real estate market.
Youssef Nader Maawad, Vice Chairperson of the company, explained that the ITC project extends over an area of 8,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 40,000 square meters. The development includes two basement levels covering 16,000 square meters, capable of accommodating 600 cars. The structure rises from a ground floor to nine upper floors, where the first to third floors are allocated for commercial activities, the fourth floor for medical services, and the fifth to tenth floors for administrative offices. Unit sizes within the project range from 50 to 1,400 square meters, and all available units have already been sold.
Sherif Maawad, Board Member of Dahab Developments, noted that contracts have already been signed with several prominent local and international companies, reflecting strong demand and confidence in the project. He also revealed that the ITC project has received LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, recognizing its commitment to sustainable building standards and environmental efficiency.
In pursuit of excellence, the company has collaborated with a number of leading consulting and contracting firms to ensure the success of the project. The Lebanese Chaddad Group was selected to oversee interior finishes, while Yasser Al Beltagy Architects (YBA), under the leadership of Yasser Al Beltagy, handled the architectural design. Electromechanical works are being managed by Prompt Company, led by Walid Abdelghafar. The overall construction process is supervised by ITC Company, and El Sewedy Industries, headed by Waseem Anwar, has also been contracted as a key partner.
Through this project, Dahab Developments reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-end, mixed-use developments in one of Egypt's most strategic and fast-growing locations.

'I work closely with architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants to help shape developments that serve as replicable models for other urban centres in the region and globally,' she said. Alzaabi believes that 'true sustainability starts with climate-responsive design, not just high-tech solutions'.She noted that elements rooted in traditional Emirati architecture, such as natural ventilation, shading, and thick walls, inspired much of the engineering work at Masdar City. 'We use these concepts to reduce energy use by keeping buildings cool without relying heavily on air-conditioning,' Alzaabi said. 'By blending these age-old techniques with modern technology, we create sustainable buildings that respect our heritage while meeting today's environmental goals.'Combining smart technology with passive design can help reduce energy use in buildings to support sustainable urban growth, according to Alzaabi.'Things like advanced building materials, energy modelling, and adaptive shading can make buildings more comfortable and efficient,' she said.'At Masdar City, we're also working on improving cooling systems and creating buildings that produce more energy than they use. These ideas can change how cities are built in hot climates and serve as examples for others to follow.'Alzaabi advises aspiring Emirati women pursuing careers in sustainability engineering to say curious and believe in their ability to make an impact. 'These fields need diverse voices to shape resilient, future-ready cities. Seek out mentors to support you on your journey, embrace learning, and don't be afraid to lead. Sustainability isn't just a goal; it's a mindset, and your perspective is vital to building a better world,' she said. Turning Blueprints Green Aisha Alkindi, Sustainability Manager at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, works on embedding sustainability into the very blueprint of large-scale property developments. 'This starts at the blueprint stage, influencing everything from energy-efficient designs, indoor environment compliances, waste management and water conservation strategies to the selection of sustainable materials and the implementation of robust waste management programmes, ensuring that the implementations are being carried out and sharing the results to all our stakeholders,' she said. 'We're creating places where residents experience a tangible difference - healthier indoor environments, abundant green spaces, and lower utility bills thanks to smart design and technology - across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt.' Balancing green goals with the fast pace of development in the UAE requires a strategic and integrated approach, according to Alkindi.'We achieve this by integrating sustainability directly into our business strategy. We began by conducting comprehensive baseline assessments through various sustainability audits, allowing us to tailor our strategies accordingly,' she said. 'This approach includes investing in advanced green building technologies, optimising designs for passive cooling and natural lighting, and exploring renewable energy solutions that are both environmentally sustainable and economically feasible.'Sustainable practices not only benefit the environment; they enhance property value, reduce operational costs, and align with the evolving expectations of customers and regulators, she noted. Alkindi believes that economic progress must go hand in hand with environmental stewardship. Spinneys and Rebirth Beirut Light Up Hamra Street
As part of the ongoing 'Let's Light Up Our Community' initiative, Spinneys, in collaboration with Rebirth Beirut, the Beirut Development Committee, and the Hamra Traders Association, lit up the main Hamra Street in the heart of Beirut on the evening of Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 7:30 PM, in front of the Spinneys – Hamra branch. The event opened with a speech by the Founder and President of Rebirth Beirut, Mr. Gaby Fernaine, who welcomed the attendees and praised the resilience of Beirut's residents and their determination to hold on to hope despite all circumstances. He emphasized that this spirit is what drives the association to continue its work. In his speech, he said: 'Every Light we turn on is a new point of hope for this city, and every street we illuminate is one step closer to the beautiful Beirut we love and dream of.' He added that this initiative, which began in May 2022 in collaboration with Medco, has so far succeeded in lighting 152 streets, 11 main avenues, 4 squares, 2 gardens, 2 staircases, and a tunnel in the capital—stressing that the work will continue and will not stop.
