Road Upgrade For Nashik Kumbh Mela 2027 Gets Gadkari Nod

Nagpur: In a major boost for road connectivity to Nashik for Kumbh Mela 2027, Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Sunday approved upgradation, along with construction in some patches, of up to eight highways leading to the city. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting support for upgrading the road infrastructure so that Maharashtra is prepared to handle the influx of visitors to Nashik. After a meeting with Gadkari in Nagpur, Fadnavis also informed reporters that projects related to the Nashik Ring Road as well as Dwarka Circle were discussed. "We have identified certain highways which lead towards Nashik, and their upgradation was extremely important. These include roads coming from Dhule, Sambhaji Nagar, Mumbai, Palghar, Nagpur and Gujarat. Along with this, there are some internal roads which also need to be upgraded to support the flow of visitors towards Nashik," said Fadnavis. "Gadkari ji held a meeting regarding our request and he has approved all the projects. Soon, a DPR will be prepared and funds allotted. This will ensure that widening, strengthening etc of roads to make it motorable have been taken care of," added Fadnavis. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Talking specifically about two projects in Nashik – Ring Road and Dwarka Circle, Fadnavis said the decision was also made regarding these. "The Ring Road project has been approved," said Fadnavis is a short reply. "About the Dwarka circle, it has been decided to complete the work in two phases. The first phase will be for the road which goes up to Kumbh, and it will be taken up on priority. Also, the work order for the second phase will be issued because there are certain intersections which need to be upgraded. We do not want roads to be dug up during Kumbh," said Fadnavis. In a query about Nashik-Trimbak road condition, Fadnavis said, "We will be upgrading the entire stretch to six-lane. Work is going on regarding this." Fadnavis slams Rahul Gandhi Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis slammed Congress neta Rahul Gandhi for criticising the 'Make In India' campaign, saying only assembly is happening here. "Rahul Gandhi has no idea about the issue, he is not even aware of what products are made in India. He should be told that during their (Congress) rule, the Indian economy was at a low point on the global stage. But in the last 11 years, under PM Narendra Modi, the Indian economy is now number four in the world, and soon, we will be number three. During Congress rule we were at the 11th spot. It's time for Rahul (Gandhi) to do his homework regarding this," said Fadnavis. Abu Azmi wants publicity: Fadnavis CM Devendra Fadnavis said Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi only seeks publicity by making controversial statements. Fadnavis was responding to a query about Azmi saying only Muslims are blamed for namaaz on the street, but they never say anything about religious processions of Hindus on the road. Fadnavis said "I believe that Azmi seeks publicity through such statements. I won't give him that publicity and hence, won't comment either. "
