The Quince Travel Essentials I'm Packing This Summer

The Quince Travel Essentials I'm Packing This Summer

I used to be a 'buy a new wardrobe every time I travel' kind of a gal. But a few years ago, I discovered the beauty of a capsule wardrobe—and my wallet and closet have thanked me ever since. I've stopped buying fast-fashion items as much as possible and began investing in pieces that will stick around with me for longer than a single season. One of the first things I noticed after making the switch from trendy clothes to timeless staples is that I rarely feel like I have nothing to wear, especially when I'm traveling. Whether I'm driving up north to Boston to catch a glimpse of its fleeting fall foliage or headed out East for a few days of summer sun in Montauk, I pack many of the same hero pieces time after time. As I continue to grow my capsule wardrobe, I'm always on the lookout for brands for who do basics really well. And lately, that's Quince.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, its goal is to deliver high-quality, long-lasting products without the hefty price tags. The lower-than-usual price point is what first attracted to me to Quince; the brand is able to keep its prices lower than competitors thanks to its factory-direct model that cuts out the middlemen. The quality of the pieces have kept me coming back. From everyday tees and super-soft cardigans to lightweight linen and versatile dresses, Quince is full of great-for-travel pieces to wear this summer and the one after that.
I've added some of Quince's bestsellers to my wardrobe and they've quickly become some of my hardest-working clothing items. The simple designs allow pieces to blend well in a variety of outfits and trip itineraries, while looking and feeling a touch more elevated than my other everyday basics.
Below, I've rounded up some of the best Quince travel clothes to get you started—some I own, others are ones I have my eye on. All are the kind of goes-with-everything pieces you'll be reaching for on every trip this summer. Whether you're packing for a hot and humid vacation along the Amalfi coast or a wine-filled getaway in Napa Valley, Quince has you covered with the airy dresses, washable maxi skirts, and dreamy cardigans you'll keep reaching for. Keep scrolling for all of the recommendations or jump right to the section you're shopping for.
Everyday tops
Everyday tops are the foundation of every packing list. Essentials like Quince's perfect white tee and its crisp linen button-down can be worn with anything, from jeans and shorts to skirts. This airy button-down can even double as a pool cover-up in a pinch. Beyond the basics, linen vests and tube tops elevate any outfit without overdoing it. You can easily dress these tops up, or keep it simple with some linen pants and comfortable sandals.
Breathable bottoms
I try to stay away from chafe-prone denim shorts or mini skirts in the summertime. Instead I'm all about breathable bottoms: breezy maxi skirts, silky midis, and linen pants. Here are a few of my current favorites, including a white poplin maxi skirt that's begging to be worn on a trip to Greece. Quince's chic silk skirt really won me over—not only because it's washable, but because it can be tightly rolled and tucked away in a small crevice of my suitcase without taking up any space at all. It's lightweight enough for daytime strolls, but can be tossed on for dinner, too. And if you're after some of moisture-wicking linen pants, look no further than Quince's $40 pairs.
Coastal sweaters
Don't forget your coastal grandmother cardigan! Not only is a super-soft striped crewneck or cardigan quietly elegant, it's also practical. Even if you're headed somewhere warm, you'll want something lightweight that you can throw over your shoulder for evening walks along the water or inside a chilly restaurant. This is one of the categories Quince does best. I couldn't believe how soft its Mongolian Cashmere sweater was when I first got my hands on it. I lived in it last fall; it will be one of those better-with-age pieces I return to year after year. These cardigans are simple enough to wear all over this summer, from Santa Barbara to Southhampton.
Vacation dresses
In a dream world, my suitcase would be filled with statement vacation dresses. In my fast-fashion days, this is where I really had my fun. But that bold wear-it-once dress isn't doing you any favors—it's too memorable! Chic, sophisticated dresses stand out without trying too hard, and are easy to rewear again again. From morning strolls to hotel dinners, the best vacation dresses from Quince keep you looking polished and feeling comfortable even on long travel days. Dress them up with a kitten heel and a sleek clutch, or toss on a pair of flat sandals for a day of sightseeing in Florence. If you want something more unique, say for destination wedding or an engagement party, consider renting a fun dress from Nuuly or Rent the Runway instead of committing long-term.
The 'it' bag
Just when I think I've successfully stuffed all the clothes and shoes I need in my carry-on, I remember I need to pack a handbag. It's one of those sneakily bulky items I forget requires ample suitcase space. My trick is to pack only one (yes, one!) handbag that can take me from a casual poolside brunch to an elegant dinner with ease. Your best bet is a black leather shoulder bag that's polished enough for evening hours while still being relaxed enough for daytime. For something a little softer, this Cognac-colored bag can be worn as a crossbod by day and a cutesy shoulder bag by night. Both bags are nice and roomy, easily fitting all of your daily essentials (phone, wallet, portable fan, etc).

Weather Catches PGA Tour Golfers 'Off Guard' at Travelers Championship on Friday

Weather Catches PGA Tour Golfers 'Off Guard' at Travelers Championship on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The 2025 Travelers Championship, the final signature event of this PGA Tour season, is well underway at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. With defending champion and current World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler still in contention after Thursday's opening round, all eyes are on the leaderboard heading into a critical Friday. Big names like Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, and Collin Morikawa are all scheduled to tee off throughout the day, hoping to make a move in the second round. Advertisement But as the action picks up on Friday, so has the wind, throwing a surprise element into the mix. The course, typically known for low scores, is battling nature's interference. Gusty northwest winds have taken over TPC River Highlands, with sustained speeds around 15 mph and gusts reaching up to 40 mph. Justin Thomas chips onto the tenth green during the first round of the Travelers Championship golf Streicher-Imagn Images The breezy conditions are a result of a storm system that passed through the region Thursday night and are expected to continue throughout the day. Even the pros weren't prepared. Justin Thomas, who teed off at 10:15 a.m. alongside Hideki Matsuyama, was taken aback by the severity. 'Wow … I saw Akshay on TV and his divots were flying all over the place,' he said, reacting to Akshay Bhatia's early-round battle with the gusts. What was expected to be another low-scoring Friday now looks uncertain. The wind has already caught both players and caddies off guard, making club selection and course management trickier than usual. Advertisement With big names like Cantlay, Homa, Day, and Fleetwood lined up for later tee times, the rest of the field will need to adjust quickly or risk falling behind in one of the year's most pivotal events. Scheffler, who opened with a brilliant 62, cooled off slightly with a 1-under par 69, but still held on to stay in that top group. Scottie Scheffler talks with J.J.
