Benefits of kettlebell swings
This exercise engages multiple muscle groups, including legs, core, back, and shoulders. The explosive hip hinge motion builds strength and power in the legs and core, while the dynamic movement elevates the heart rate, providing a cardio workout. The intensity of the exercise helps burn calories and promote fat loss.
Holding the kettlebell during swings strengthens hand and forearm muscles. Additionally, kettlebell swings require core engagement, which improves balance and stability. The focus on maintaining a straight back during the swing carries over to improved posture in other activities.
How to perform kettlebell swings
1. Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, a kettlebell on the floor a few inches in front of you.
2. Bend your knees slightly and push your hips back, keeping your back straight (a hip hinge).
3. Swing the kettlebell back between your legs, letting it travel as far as your hips allow.
4. Drive your hips forward, using the momentum to swing the kettlebell up to shoulder height.
5. Inhale and let the kettlebell swing back down between your legs, ready for the next rep.
6. Continue the swing movement, focusing on smooth transitions and controlled movements.

David Beckham shows off his gardening skills, leaves wife Victoria in splits
Washington [US], June 22 (ANI): David Beckham gave fans an adorable glimpse into his life at home with wife Victoria Beckham over the weekend. The former football star, 50, shared a funny and sweet video on Instagram from their garden at their Cotswolds home in England. In the video, David can be seen digging through a wooden garden box with excitement. "I've been waiting for a while for this," he said, before announcing proudly, "A carrot." Victoria, 51, responded from behind the camera, "OK, let's see it." David then pulled the carrot from the soil -- only to reveal a short, oddly shaped one that had split into two ends. That's when the couple burst out laughing. "That's so disappointing," joked Victoria. Along with the fun video, Beckham added a caption that read, "Exciting day today in my veggie garden, CARROTS but not exactly what I expected but to be fair it had Lady Beckham laughing @victoriabeckham sorry about my carrot ." Victoria also shared other clips on her Instagram page, showing David's harvest of onions, beans, zucchini (or courgettes, as they say in the UK), and more. She later posted a photo of David proudly standing in front of his garden at sunset. David has been spending more time gardening and also keeping bees at home. In April, he shared a similar funny video of himself picking radishes, again with Victoria joking behind the camera. The two often share such glimpses of their life together, making fans smile with their fun chemistry. (ANI)
