Lionel Messi scored a trademark free-kick as Inter Miami beat Porto 2-1 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to move a step closer to the last 16 of the Club World Cup.
Porto took the lead in the eighth minute from the penalty spot but Miami equalised just after half-time through a thumping finish from Telasco Segovia.
Messi then gave the Atlanta crowd what they came for when he clipped home a fine 20-yard free-kick in the 54th minute.
Igor Jesus scored the only goal of the game as Botafogo stunned Paris St Germain in Botafogo, with Atletico Madrid beating the Seattle Sounders 3-1 in Group B's other game.
Elsewhere in Group A, Palmeiras beat Egyptian side Al Ahly 2-0 at the MetLife Stadium – with the match interrupted during the second half because of the threat of lightning in East Rutherford.
Enzo Maresca – I'll talk to 'Misha' soon
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed he has not yet spoken to winger Mykhailo Mudryk since the Ukrainian was charged with violating anti-doping rules.
The 24-year-old has not played since being suspended last December after testing positive for a prohibited substance, and is facing a lengthy ban after being charged by the Football Association.
Blues boss Maresca fronted questions on Mudryk as he prepared the team for their second Group D match against Flamengo in Philadelphia on Friday.
'The last time I spoke with Misha, he was quite good. I didn't see him worried, or at least I didn't see him not good. It was OK,' Maresca said.
'I don't know how he is now, but for sure in the next days, weeks, we're going to have a talk.'
Rhian Wilkinson has high hopes for Wales
Rhian Wilkinson hiked up Wales' highest peak at Yr Wyddfa before delivering the names of 23 players determined to scale their own summit at Euro 2025.
'It (qualifying) was always going to be an uphill battle with little setbacks,' said former Canada international Wilkinson.
'As we have moved towards the Euros we have talked about the summit, the Everest part of it. That something is impossible until it isn't.
'Outside Wales people can think whatever they want. Our goal is to show up and deliver to the best of our ability. I am sure people will be looking up Wales on a map very soon.'
Kylian Mbappe in and then out of hospital
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has been discharged from hospital after being admitted with 'acute gastroenteritis'.
The 26-year-old France international missed Wednesday night's 1-1 Club World Cup draw with Al Hilal through illness, with head coach Xabi Alonso revealing he had a fever.
Real Madrid subsequently confirmed Mbappe was suffering from 'an acute case of gastroenteritis' and had been admitted to hospital for further tests and treatment, before later being cleared to return to the team's base.
'Our player Kylian Mbappe was discharged from the hospital this afternoon and has returned to the Real Madrid training camp,' a club statement read.
'Mbappe will continue receiving specific medical treatment and will gradually return to team activity.'

In the July 24, 2024 report, an officer spotted a black Acura that was 'all over the roadway' and 'unable to maintain a lane.' The car 'nearly at times collided with the median concrete wall.' The incident report read, 'The defendant was observed to have bloodshot, watery eyes, and I could smell an odor of an unknown alcohol beverage emitting from inside the vehicle.' She told the officer she was coming from her job at Pilo's Tequila Garden. Yulissa told the officer that she had nothing to drink and claimed to have been 'driving normally.' The officer had her step out of the vehicle and asked if she would be willing to perform standardized field sobriety tests to determine if she was okay to continue to drive. 'She ultimately agreed to perform the tests,' the report read. 'As the Defendant spoke to me, I could smell an unknown odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her face and mouth area. 'When asked again if she had consumed any alcoholic beverage, the defendant stated that she had a shot with one of her clients at work.' The officer noted she was unable to keep balance while listening to instructions, started before instructions were finished and used her arms for balance. During the one-leg stand she swayed while balancing, used her arms to balance and put her foot down. The report continued to allege, 'The defendant was advised that she was being arrested for driving under the influence. At approximately 3:57am she was placed in handcuffs with a double lock.' She refused to give a sample of her breath to determine the blood alcohol content. 'The defendant was allowed to call her family members to pick up her car,' the report read. 'While speaking on the phone with her family, she made multiple spontaneous statements about her drinking and driving.' She was booked and charged with DUI. She paid a $1,000 bond. In her mug shot, she appeared solemn and bleary-eyed. 6 IN COURT Yulissa pleaded not guilty to the charge against her in court, calling the arrest "unlawful." A jury trial was set in the case. But then on March 19, 2025, Yulissa waived her right to a speedy trial and agreed to the Back on Track Program. The terms read, 'If you are accepted by the State Attorney's Office and comply and successfully complete all conditions of the Back on Track Program, you will then be able to enter a plea and receive a withhold of adjudication on a reduced charge of reckless driving." The length of participation is 12 months for a DUI-tier II and she will receive a suspended sentence, which means no jail time. Her next court hearing is April 6, 2026. Yulissa did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment. OUT OF THE VILLA Yulissa was cut from the villa off-camera in just the second episode of the season before any of her fellow Islanders had even woken up. Brazil's Botafogo withstood waves of attacks from Paris Saint-Germain to stun the European champions 1-0 on Thursday and throw Group B at the Club World Cup wide open. PSG dominated possession at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena but Botafogo's resolute defence stood tall in the first competitive meeting between the two clubs. The goal came in the 36th minute when Botafogo gained possession in midfield and Jefferson Savarino slid a pass through for Igor Jesus to run in on goal. The French side had scored in 19 consecutive games until losing on Thursday. Botafogo coach Renato Paiva said his team had beaten PSG at their own game. "Being a great team, playing together, all the guys defending, all the guys attacking, and that's the big secret of this PSG team, that's why they compete and win," he said. "They are a fantastic team. I said this, PSG are a lesson to everybody nowadays in football. And I told my guys, just be a team, enjoy playing together, attack together, defend together, and enjoy. And they did they did it. Fantastic." PSG were once again without Ousmane Dembele, who suffered an injury while playing for France in the Uefa Nations League earlier this month.
