Neil Robertson revealed his "horrendous" experience at attempting to qualify for the World Snooker Championship with fellow snooker icon Stephen Hendry.
The Australian provided a behind-the-scenes look into the gruelling final qualifying round, known as Judgement Day, where 32 players compete for a coveted spot in the main draw against one of the 16 seeded players.
To reach this stage, snooker stars must endure three initial rounds, culminating in the high-stakes Judgement Day, just days before the main tournament commences.
After slipping out of the top 16 in the world rankings in 2024 following a semi-final loss at the World Open, Robertson faced the daunting task of navigating the qualifying rounds for the first time since 2006.
His Judgement Day encounter ended in heartbreak, as he suffered a 10-9 defeat to Jamie Jones, marking his first absence from the major tournament draw in 20 years.
During an appearance on Hendry's Cue Tips YouTube channel, Robertson reflected on the growing popularity of Judgement Day, which Hendry noted had "become quite a big thing".

The 43-year-old said: "It was horrendous to be a part of last year, as much as I was trying to talk it down and just be like, 'Oh yeah it's [fine].'

"It's just absolutely horrific because the players there, you can just sense their desperation, of everyone around you, and when I was there last year, all the players were just looking at me like, 'Oh my god, what are you even doing here.'"
Hendry shared his own experience of Judgement Day from when he first retired in 2012, noting that the final qualifying round "wasn't built up like it is now".
The Scotsman triumphed over Yu Delu 10-6 in the fourth round that year, but declared his first retirement from snooker after a loss to Stephen Maguire in the quarter-finals.
Robertson did commend the organisation of Judgement Day for its professionalism, suggesting that it provides a good warm-up for the main event.

He added: "In fairness, they've actually done a great job, they've set it up like basically almost like a venue. I don't know if you've seen it?
"It's set up open, like a main venue now so tables one and two at the qualifiers for the World Championships, you actually feel as though you are playing at a venue – obviously just without the live TV cameras."

By the time of the 2025 World Championship, Robertson had climbed back into the top 16 of the overall rankings, allowing him to bypass Judgement Day. However, the former world No. 1 was knocked out early by Chris Wakelin, who beat him 10-8 in the first round.
Zhao Xintong triumphed over Mark Williams in the final, making him the first World Champion from China, while Robertson didn't make it past the second round of the major tournament for the fourth consecutive year.

However, after the modernisation of stadiums and updates to Fifa and Czech FA criteria for the quality of grounds, Zbrojcka were forced to leave their historic home in 2001. Since then it has sat empty, disappearing into the overgrown nature and looking worse for wear as each year of neglect passes. In 2012, plans were drawn up to allow Zbrojovka to return thanks to the reconstruction of the stadium, but amid financial concerns, the project was put on hold. It's claimed that the demolition could happen as early as October of this year, but must be completed by February 2026 at the latest. His campaign, which was backed by fans, eventually saw the stadium reopen in 2015 for 35,000 fans to watch one final match. Svancara, who once revealed there was a crack running underneath the ground, discussed the dire state of the stadium in an interview with The Guardian. He said: "When we came back for the first time, you could have shot a beautiful horror film there… "The stadium had started to crumble and it was for political reasons. "It needed reconstruction but nobody would take care of it. The club was moved to Srbska and Luzanky was filled with trees and bushes. "Homeless people lived in the stands, and the vegetation that started to take over even became home for some rare species of bird. "There was one funny pheasant that we ousted from the stadium when we came back but it kept returning several times – he simply came back home. "Leaving Luzanki divided the fans into two groups – one of which loved Luzanky too much and did not want to go to another stadium "That was the case with the older generation in particular. His father, Robert Liddington, had left the home when he was five-years-old, which saw Cheryl spiral into a mental breakdown. Stevie and his younger brother were temporarily placed in foster care after they "saw things no child should ever witness" - including Cheryl holding a knife to her own neck, Stevie claimed. The web designer claimed her comments were filled with lies, including the impression Daniel was loved by the kids. He dubbed Cheryl's relationship with the warrior as "violent" and "chaotic". CHERYL'S REGRET Cheryl and her new partner made headlines across the globe with people left gobsmacked at her decision to abandon the comfortable middle-class life for a new home and partner in rural Kenya. She traded it in to help the warrior cook, clean and hunt, sleeping on goatskin and surviving on a diet of cow's blood and cabbage in a mud hut. But the bizarre couple eventually to leave Kenya behind returned to the Isle of Wight in 1995. They tied the knot on Valentine's Day, both wearing traditional Masai clothing. But more than three decades later, Cheryl has broken her silence after the marriage fell apart - when she claimed Daniel became obsessed with wealth. She described feeling used as a "meal ticket" in an emotional interview with the MailOnline. "I made a huge mistake, it was very wrong of me, and I have a lot of regrets, especially about how it damaged my children," she said. Cheryl split with Daniel in 1999 just four years after they were married and one year after their daughter was born. Now, 65-year-old Cheryl lives alone in a seaside town in Somerset where she is well known among the local community. She has kept her controversial past hidden from the community with none of her friends aware of the bizarre relationship she once had with the Masai warrior. MARRIAGE BREAKDOWN Cheryl has now told how shortly after arriving in the UK Daniel became obsessed with material things and money. Trying to pinpoint what went wrong in the peculiar relationship Cheryl blamed a slew of drastic cultural differences between her and her husband. She reportedly felt that adjusting to life in the UK was too tough for Daniel and his struggles assimilating, combined with the pressure on the pair to make their relationship work, led to the eventual end of their marriage. Cheryl admitted that she suffered sexual abuse as a young girl and spoke about the harrowing difficulties she faced growing up in a dysfunctional London household with alcoholic parents, she was reportedly contemplating suicide at the time she met Daniel. She revealed how she was urged to go on her Kenyan holiday by a friend who was in the same church choir as her, the pair went on the holiday that would change her life forever together.
