Flex it: This style guide is inspired by ‘protein bros'
It's hard to ignore the world's all-consuming (pun intended) love for protein right now. Everyone's either furiously glugging down protein shakes or drizzling protein powders on everything from icecream to bread. Naturally, this love's now also extending to fashion. The gym bro or protein bro aesthetic – defined by sleeveless tees and shirts (to flaunt those biceps), seamless body hugging tees, thigh skimming shorts ( to show that leg day is working), protein shakers that can seemingly do pretty much everything – is coming into its own and in recent years, the world of haute couture has taken note of it too with labels like Luar, Balenciaga, Bode and Natasha Zinko sending down models in cutaway tees, body hugging leggings, thigh-skimming gym shorts and torso-inspired jackets. Yes, this aesthetic is all about flexing your shapely muscles and rightly so. Treat this round up by Lounge as a ready reckoner on how to embrace the look without sweating it.
LEG DAY PREP
Let's start with footwear. Gym shoes are meant to be stylish but more than that they ought to be functional to power you through your workout regime – whether that involves running on the treadmill or heavy lifting. Bonus points if it's versatile enough to be worn socially. Balenciaga's 6XL sneakers check all the boxes. What makes these low mesh sneakers made from faux leather more interesting is each shoe is a different colour – while one is black with multi-coloured touches, the other is white and multi-coloured. These sneakers also feature the brand's logo debossed on the tongue. Available on Balenciaga.com; ₹1.03 lakh.

BICEPS FORMULA
Been fanatically working your bicep curls? Take a cue from actor Pedro Pascal's recent Cannes look where he showed up in a black sleeveless tee with his in- shape biceps on display for the world to see. Keep it rugged with this charcoal-black sleeveless button-down shirt from Calvin Klein. Cut from cotton-linen denim in a classic silhouette, it comes fitted with a patch pocket on the upper chest. This look is all about exuding confidence with simplicity. Available on Calvinklein.us; ₹6,156.
POWER SHAKE
Protein shakers may not be able to set all things right in this world but the way gym bros hold on to their bottles would have you thinking otherwise. A coveted gym essential today, there's a lot of thought that goes into picking one. Does it blend protein powders well? Is it leak proof and easy to clean? ShakeSphere's Tumbler Steel model, the metallic version of it's original design (made from specialist plastics and silicone), ticks off all the boxes. Made from steel with copper finish, it comes in a patented capsule-shaped design that uses centrifugal force to blend protein powders and puree fruits. The functional slide cap makes it leak-proof. Available on Shakesphere.in; ₹8,499.
SECOND SKIN
When you are pumping it in adrenaline-fuelled environs of a gym, comfort clothing becomes top priority. You don't want a bulky t-shirt impeding you as you perform your squats or planks. This explains the popularity of seamless knitted t-shirts these days. This pale blue seamless T-shirt from popular fitness apparel brand Gym Shark's new collection is a good example. Made from physique-enhancing knitted material, it's equipped with one-fourth zipper and body-mapping eyelet details stitched into the fabric to enhance its breathability. Available on Eu.gymshark.com; ₹11,446.

LOCKER PACK
Your gym ensemble is incomplete without a bag that's equipped to hold all your workout essentials including a dumbbell even. Leonardo DiCaprio's new girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti is above 25 and the internet can't keep calm
(Image: For years, Leonardo DiCaprio's love life has followed a predictable (and slightly comical) pattern: date a stunning woman under 25, part ways before her next birthday, and repeat. It became such a thing that people started calling it the 'Leo 25 Rule'—a sort of invisible stopwatch ticking away in the background of every one of his relationships. But now? That stopwatch might've finally stopped. Enter Vittoria Ceretti, the 27-year-old Italian supermodel who's got the looks, the career, and, more importantly, the age that's turning heads across Hollywood. Not just because she's drop-dead gorgeous or because she struts runways for Prada and Chanel like she was born on them—but because, finally, Leo's dating a woman who doesn't come with a countdown clock. The Cannes connection Their romance reportedly began around Cannes 2023, a fitting backdrop for two people who are essentially walking cinema. While they kept things low-key at first, things took a bold turn in May 2025 when the pair made a high-voltage appearance at the Met Gala. Vittoria, dressed in a sheer burgundy gown with the confidence of a woman completely comfortable in her own skin, walked side-by-side with Leo, who for once didn't seem to be dodging the cameras. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Olvídate de repostar CUPRA Ver oferta Undo The body language was subtle but intimate—hands grazing, private smiles, that knowing look couples share when they're on the same wavelength. Paparazzi caught them laughing between poses, leaning in mid-conversation, and looking genuinely…well, happy. And the internet noticed. Breaking the 'Under 25' cycle Let's not sugarcoat it—Leo's dating track record has become a pop culture punchline. From Gisele Bündchen to Bar Refaeli, every breakup happened like clockwork when the woman turned 25. It's been charted, graphed, and turned into viral memes. He's never said out loud that he has an age limit, but the pattern has been too strong to ignore. So when fans discovered that Vittoria is 27, the reaction was immediate: wait, is Leo... evolving? It's not just her age that's got people hopeful. It's who she is. Vittoria: More than a supermodel Born in Brescia, Italy, Vittoria Ceretti has been modeling since she was a teenager. But she's no fresh face. She's walked for Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Chanel, Balenciaga, and graced multiple international Vogue covers. She's known for her cool-girl charisma, artsy edge, and not playing the typical 'celebrity girlfriend' role. Insiders say she's fiercely independent, emotionally mature, and not interested in fame for fame's sake—which, let's be honest, is probably refreshing for someone like Leo. Their chemistry, as insiders note, is 'easy and unforced.' She's not star-struck, he's not trying too hard, and there's reportedly 'a lot of mutual respect.' That's not something we've heard about many of his past flings. Rumors, rings, and real talk Of course, it wouldn't be a Leo romance without a few rumors. Tabloids floated the idea of a secret engagement in late 2024, but sources close to the couple say there's no ring—yet. Still, those same sources hint that DiCaprio is 'more grounded' with Vittoria than he's been in years. Some even speculate that fatherhood might not be completely off the table anymore. One insider told a celeb weekly: 'He's not suddenly planning a white-picket-fence life, but he's thinking more seriously about the future.' No one's saying he's ready to settle down with a house in the suburbs and a Labradoodle. But dating someone outside of his 'forever 24' comfort zone? That's already big news. A Hollywood glow-up? Look, Leo has always been Leonardo DiCaprio—Oscar-winner, climate activist, Hollywood legend. But his personal life? It often felt like it belonged to a man stuck in the same loop. With Vittoria Ceretti, the vibe is different. She brings grace, wit, independence, and just enough European cool to make even Leo look like he's trying to keep up. They're stylish, age-appropriate (finally!), and—dare we say—kind of wholesome. So maybe the jokes can stop. Maybe we're watching Leonardo DiCaprio, almost 50, lean into a version of adulthood that doesn't come with Peter Pan syndrome. Because for the first time in a long time, he's not dating someone who still needs a learner's permit to rent a car. One step to a healthier you—join Times Health+ Yoga and feel the change

Purpose, Data, Empathy, and AI: Highlights from Cannes Lions
By Shrenik Gandhi Yesterday was a classic Cannes. A little sunburn, a lot of walking, and five sessions that left my head buzzing in the best way. 1. Luana Iurillo (Pernod Ricard) – Purpose Without Pretence Luana opened the day with the kind of honesty you want to see on big stages. No jargon, no performance, just a reminder that belief inside an organisation can sometimes outmuscle even the biggest budgets. Pernod Ricard's journey from internal conviction to global resonance is proof that when purpose is real, it travels. 2. Emily Twomey (Razorfish) with Peggy Fang Roe (Marriott) & Amy Hu (New York Life) – Data That Cares Emily said, 'Data needs a soul.' I've seen enough dashboards to know how easily we forget that. The panel didn't just talk about numbers, they talked about impact. No grand claims, just a clear point: data is only as good as the lives it touches. I was scribbling notes like it was final-year college all over again. 3. Global CMO Roundtable – Media Is Now Empathy This session felt like eavesdropping on the smartest dinner table in the business. One CMO put it simply: 'Media planning is empathy planning now.' That line landed hard. It's not about reach anymore; it's about relevance and respect. I bumped into a couple of old industry friends from India — those spontaneous Cannes reunions that feel like catching your breath. 4. Andy Bird (ex-Disney) – Campaigns That Truly Heal Andy walked us through work that didn't just get clicks, it changed lives. The 'Neki Ki Raah' campaign, where dhaba menus doubled as eye tests, stood out. That's the kind of storytelling that stays with you and gets stuck to your soul. 5. Jason Morton & Don Sklenka (Claritas) – AI Can't Feel The last session of the day. No fear-mongering, no hype. Just one perfect line: 'AI can write, but it can't feel.' I closed my notebook and let that linger. Technology can do a lot, but it can't replace the human pulse at the heart of our craft. Evening: The Awards India didn't win big in numbers, but FCB's 'Lucky Yatra' picking up a Gold Lion had the whole contingent beaming. Watching that team walk up, you could feel what it meant. When one of us wins, it lifts all of us a little higher. Reflection This is my second time at Cannes. Last year, I was wide-eyed. Feels different now — last year was wide-eyed. This time, more grounded. I'm walking away with a full notebook, a fuller heart, and a tiny voice saying, 'We've got this too.'
