GMA Network declines TAPE's settlement offer
GMA Network did not accept the amount offered by Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. to settle its debt.
According to Mel Tiangco's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the two parties attended a mediation meeting in line with the estafa complaint that GMA filed against TAPE.
GMA Network is demanding P37.9 million from the owners of TAPE Inc. for the airtime fees that TAPE Inc. failed to remit to GMA.
However, TAPE Inc.'s settlement offer at present is not enough.
The case will now be re-raffled to another prosecutor who will conduct a preliminary investigation into the matter.
GMA Network, Inc. filed a criminal complaint for estafa with abuse of confidence against officers of TAPE Inc. for the misappropriation of funds totaling P37,941,352.56.
The complaint stems from the respondents' failure to remit advertising revenues collected from clients, which had been contractually assigned to GMA Network under a 2023 Assignment Agreement.
Despite multiple formal demands, the funds were not transferred to GMA because they were instead used for TAPE's operational expenses, in violation of the trust arrangement outlined in the agreement. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News

AZ Martinez fires back at 'two-faced' accusations from 'PBB' duo challengers
AZ Martinez did not back down during the heated Big Tapatan on Saturday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Editon." When asked whether she could be considered a good example among the housemates, AZ said yes. "I've been so open in this house to the point na I feel like I even overshare," she said. Ashley Ortega contradicted this. "Paano ka nagpakatotoo sa akin? When you're right in front of me, you're a two-faced person. Are you even happy to see me right now? You're saying, 'I love you all,' do you love me? No, you don't. I know you don't," Ashley said. AZ replied, "Siguro ganon talaga 'yung naramdaman ko sayo kasi hindi ko rin nakita na naging totoo ka." Shuvee then addressed AZ and said, "Feeling ko, AZ, hindi ka nagpapakatotoo." She said that AZ once told her, "Kakampi kita." The two actresses have been friends even before "PBB." "Here comes nominations, you had to nominate me because of the outside world," Shuvee said. "Is betrayal really your thing, AZ?" "No," AZ responded. "You also voted me. You voted for River, but he's still my duo, so basically you also voted for me." Shuvee couldn't help but smile and nod. AZ explained that Kuya's basis for the previous nominations was the housemates' "whole journey." "Hahanapan ko ba ng mali 'yung ibang tao? Wala akong maling nahanap sa kanila," she added. Klarisse De Guzman quipped that naturally, AZ couldn't find anything wrong with Ralph De Leon. AZ returned the question: "Bakit, Ate Klang, may nahanap ka bang mali kay Ralph?", to which Klarisse said no, and jokingly said Ralph is perfect and she had a crush on him. Shuvee then asked AZ if she broke up with her ex-boyfriend Larkin Castor because she fell in love with Ralph De Leon. "No. And na-inlove ba ko kay Ralph?" AZ said. AZ had previously said that after a two-year on-again, off-again relationship, Larkin broke up with her before she entered Bahay ni Kuya because he didn't want her to join "PBB." However, they had still been in contact afterwards, so she wasn't sure where things stood between them. AZ finally let go of Larkin fully during her stay in the "PBB" house through a letter. "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" airs new episodes on GMA Network weeknights at 9:35 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:15 p.m. —JCB, GMA Integrated News

Ralph De Leon addresses ex-housemates' 'paasa' allegations regarding AZ Martinez
Ralph De Leon caught heat from the duo challengers over his closeness to AZ Martinez on Saturday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" The former housemates questioned his choosing of Will Ashley as his final duo when he nominated him before. Asked if he did not feel bad for AZ, who had also wanted to be his final duo, Ralph said that he developed a closeness with Will, and he did not "push the loveteam, hindi ko pinilit." Emilio Daez said, "Teka lang ha, lapit ka ng lapit sa kanya (AZ)." Kira Balinger jumped in, telling Ralph, "Stop using her, honestly, Ralph, ang kapal ng mukha mo." "Why do you keep going near her?" she added. "If you really have no intention of having anything to do with her, why do you keep going near her?" Other housemates chimed in and said he was "paasa." Ralph took the question in stride and said that he was "there for AZ." "I don't think you can blame me for genuinely caring for another person in this house," he said. "And that's the sole reason why I keep making it clear every single time that I do not want any feelings miscommunicated," he added.
