Police locked down the scene as shocked locals and shop workers began to gather near the cordon.
One witness who was working at a nearby business said: "It was crazy there were police everywhere. Three vans were on fire outside Strawberry Garden. I couldn't get out to see my car for a while so I didn't know if it was on fire or not.

"By the time I finished at 2am I was allowed to leave by police."
Pictures taken at the scene today show how all three motors were left a burnt out shell.
One motor was so badly torched that only the bottom half and wheels remained intact. Another van had completely melted into the road.
