She is from Vizag and I love Vizag. Our roots are similar though we are not from the same cities and so, culturally, there was a lot of connect. Please!"Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is preparing for her upcoming role in Raj & DK's Netflix web series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, continuing her successful journey in the entertainment industry.

Dhvani Bhanushali on navigating her next sound and dreams: ‘I'm manifesting collab with Diljit Dosanjh'

As the music industry evolves rapidly with the influence of social media and digital algorithms, artists are constantly challenged to keep pace while staying authentic. For Dhvani Bhanushali, this balance is not just necessary, it's non-negotiable. In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times on the occasion of World Music Day, Dhvani opened up about her creative process, the role of personal experience, and her aspirations for global music collaborations. Dhvani Bhanushali highlights the significance of authenticity in music, focusing on personal experiences over social media trends Instead of chasing virality, Dhvani finds inspiration in the everyday conversations, moments of joy, heartbreak, and observation. It's this emotional honesty that makes her music so widely relatable. While she acknowledges that platforms like Instagram offer endless ideas and trends, she cautions against losing oneself in the crowd. "We are constantly influenced by what we see and experience. Life experience is very important for making music. As you live life, themes and stories come to you. When you see Instagram, you see people exploring different things. But you also realise that sometimes, when you try and experiment too much, you forget who you truly are as an artist. I feel you should derive from your own experiences rather than what other people are doing. My algorithm will be defined by me and my audience," Dhvani said. For Dhvani, that 'algorithm' isn't about formulas or filters, it's about connection. What her listeners feel, what resonates in their lives, and what echoes her own emotions form the true foundation of her creative direction. The Pop Romance Era Dhvani's last number, Aankhon with OAFF, Savera, and Ankur Tewari, was a different soundscape from her usual numbers. "I think I got cooler with it. I have never done anything like this before. I wanted to talk about a situationship, and I think it resonated with my audience." Dhvani is now looking forward to putting out music all this year. "I am back to Afro soundscape, which I touched upon when I did Mera Yaar. My next is a proper club number. Now, I am diverging more into pop romance and moving away from the sad girl era. I am in a happy space. I would want to stick to pop, romance, the beats," Dhvani said. Eyes on the global stage Dhvani's vision isn't limited by borders. The singer is clear about her global ambitions and the artists who inspire her. 'I really want to work with Camila Cabello. I have been a fan of hers since the time I began. I love Post Malone.' These choices reflect a fusion of pop, soul, and versatility, very much like her own evolving sound. And while she's set her sights internationally, one collaboration hits closer to home. 'I am manifesting a collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh… I always tell him he is such an inspiration for so many artists, including me.' Having previously collaborated with Diljit on the massive hit Sauda Khara Khara in Good Newzz, Dhvani sees him as a role model—proof that Indian artists can break boundaries and cross cultures.

Renuka Shahane reacts to the 8hrs shift debate amidst Deepika Padukone's exit from 'Spirit', says, 'It's a matter of choice'

Renuka Shahane known for 'Hum Aapke Hai Koun..' and directing films like 'Tribhanga', Marathi film 'Rita', has now shared her thoughts on the 8-hour shift debate which has started post Deepika Padukone 's exit from 'Spirit'. It was being reported that Deepika had demanded for an eight-hour shift and not more than that, now that she's a new mom to baby Dua. This started a discussion within the industry. Renuka Shahane expressed her opinions on 8-hour shifts for actors during this time, stating that it is a personal decision. She said, although it is a personal preference, she believes that 8-hour shifts shouldn't be necessary because many mothers may need to work 18 hours. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actress shared, 'I don't want to make a general statement on it because I feel that there are even some male actors who would like to minimize hours, not just female actors. A lot of them have come out and said that they want to spend time with their families. In this context, it's a difficult thing to say, because it is a matter of individual choice." The 58-year-old actress, who is a mother of two, said she knows a lot of working women who bring their kids along to work 18-hour shifts on daily soap opera sets. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! IC Markets Start Now Undo She thinks it's their decision, and producers have the final say if they agree. Since some women may need or prefer to work those long hours, there shouldn't be any pressure. 'I know of a lot of working mothers who are going to work in daily soaps for 18-hour shifts, and they manage their child by taking them to the set, and kind of raising them practically on the set. It is a choice that they have made and who am I to say anything about that? If the producer accepts that, it's their prerogative. There should not be a compulsion as there might be mothers who want or need to work for 18 hours. It's a very individual thing," she said. The 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' star also emphasised on the importance of mutual understanding between the creators and actors. 'Whenever you decide to sign on the dotted line, that has to be something mutual. And that sense of respect has to be there because if there is no respect, you're not going to be able to work with each other at all," she said. On the work front, Renuka Shahane was last seen in Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar's Marathi film 'Devmanus' co-starring Mahesh Manjrekar, which released in theatres in April this year.

Sitaare Zameen Par worldwide box office collection day 1: Aamir Khan film beats Kesari Chapter 2, falls behind Sikandar

Sitaare Zameen Par worldwide box office collection day 1: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan made his return to the screen after three years with Sitaare Zameen Par, following the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. Despite receiving positive reviews from audiences, the film had a slow start at the box office. It has surpassed the collection of Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 but still trails behind Salman Khan's Sikandar. (Also Read: Salman Khan jokes Aamir Khan first offered Sitaare Zameen Par to him: 'Tab iska paperwork pe kaam chal raha tha') Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par takes a slow start at the box office. According to Sacnilk, Aamir's film earned ₹ 10.7 crore on day one of its release at the domestic box office. With ₹ 12.85 crore India gross and ₹ 7.15 crore overseas collection, the film's total worldwide collection now stands at ₹ 20 crore. The numbers are slightly underwhelming for an Aamir Khan film, especially considering his last release Laal Singh Chaddha, which failed commercially, still opened to ₹ 11.70 crore in India and ₹ 23.85 crore worldwide. However, the film has managed to surpass the day one haul of Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday's film Kesari Chapter 2, which collected ₹ 15 crore worldwide. Yet, it fell behind Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 ( ₹ 25.70 crore) and Salman Khan's Sikandar ( ₹ 26 crore). The film is expected to see a jump in numbers owing to the positive audience response. About Sitaare Zameen Par The sports comedy-drama is a spiritual sequel to Aamir's 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film stars Aamir as a basketball coach who is tasked with training a team of neurodivergent people for a tournament. The film also features Genelia D'Souza. The film introduces 10 debutant actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali. The ensemble cast also includes Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and Ankita Sehgal. An excerpt from Hindustan Times' review of Sitaare Zameen Par reads, 'The first half is slow and tests your patience. Aamir being angry with his new role, getting to know his special team, then struggling in his marriage with Sunita (Genelia Deshmukh) — there's a lot that eats up screen time and feels like lazy writing. There's the occasional laugh — pretty much what one saw in the trailer. The intermission point too isn't on a high. You settle into your seats after this, ready for a yawn-fest. But this is exactly when Sitaare Zameen Par miraculously finds its groove.'
