The Ohio State basketball team has been going through its summer workouts and showing some of the audio and video from the start of what it hopes will be the building blocks to a successful return to the NCAA Tournament this season after missing it for the third year in a row last year.
Optimism seems to be abounding with the health of the team, and with the mixture of incoming talent through the transfer portal and returning scoring and athleticism, the Buckeyes were able to retain. One guy, however, OSU did not have the services of last year is guard Taison Chatman. He tore his ACL during spring workouts last season and has been recovering after surgery, taking a redshirt year last year.
If he can come back healthy, he could add some needed shooting touch and ball handling that is sorely needed. And, but the looks of some video shared on the Ohio State X account, it sure looks like Chatman is getting around pretty good and scoring buckets in some of the controlled scrimmage sessions.
Take a look at Chatman in some highlights that should give everyone some excitement for what he could bring to the floor this season.
Many people forget about Chatman as an option, but if he can be another option to score, handle the ball, and provide depth, he could be a pleasant surprise this year.

Sophie Cunningham slams WNBA treatment of Fever guard Caitlin Clark
Superstars in the sporting world are treated differently from their colleagues. Fair or not, it is just the way the world of sports works. They get scrutinized, treated differently by refs, treated differently by fans, and ultimately receive special treatment, sometimes in negative and positive ways, from opposing teams. Caitlin Clark is a certified superstar and the face of the WNBA, which subjects her to all of the above. Most recently, things got testy in the Indiana Fever's WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun, and tempers flared around Caitlin Clark. In response, Clark's teammate on the Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham, leaned into being a force of backup for Clark as she was seemingly fed up with the treatment that the star guard was receiving. She spoke up to the media about the unfair treatment Caitlin Clark is getting from the WNBA. "During that, it was just part of the game. I think the refs had a lot to do with that. It was a build of for a couple of years now of them just not protecting, you know, the star player of the WNBA. So, at the end of the day, I'm going to protect my teammates. That's what I do, and I'm a team player," Cunningham said. Since the spat against the Sun, the Fever dropped their most recent game to the Golden State Valkyries to drop them to 6-6 on the season. Cunningham's defense of Clark has proven to excite fans of the WNBA and the Indiana Fever. Her jersey has since sold out on the Indiana Fever's official team store, while her social media followings have exploded. Duke Star Sparks Injury Concerns After Being Spotted in Walking Boot
Duke Star Sparks Injury Concerns After Being Spotted in Walking Boot originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Duke Blue Devils are coming off a tremendous 35-win season that included a Final Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament, as well as both the ACC regular season and conference tournament titles. Advertisement However, after falling to the Houston Cougars in the Final Four, Duke is now shifting its focus to the 2025–26 season—and facing significant roster turnover. Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Tyrese Proctor, and Sion James are all headed for the NBA draft, leaving the Blue Devils without five key rotation players. Despite the departures, Duke is reloading with another top-tier freshman class, headlined by the highly touted Boozer twins, Cam and Cayden. They'll also return some major contributors in Isaiah Evans, Caleb Foster, Maliq Brown, and sophomore center Patrick Ngongba II, who many believe is poised for a breakout season. That said, concern swept through the Duke fanbase this weekend after photos from a summer workout surfaced showing Ngongba on the sideline in a walking boot. Check it out: Ngongba dealt with a notable foot injury during his freshman season—raising concern now that he's been spotted in a walking boot. While it's still very early in the offseason and there's plenty of time before Duke's season opener against the Texas Longhorns, the sighting has sparked some worry. Advertisement The 6-foot-11 big man averaged 10.6 minutes per game last season for the Blue Devils, contributing 3.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 0.4 steals while shooting an efficient 71.9% from the field. If he can stay healthy and see an increased role in 2025, he has the potential to be a highly productive starting center for Duke. The Full court sprint twist & hurdle/avoid banana peels drill? Let's do some simple defensive slides," a fan said. Someone else added, "I'm sure we'll get a full, comprehensive update from the coaching staff immediately. Not." Advertisement Another fan posted, "Ridiculous, I hope it's precautionary." "One of two players Duke cannot afford to miss time this year. Hopefully it's minor," one more fan commented.
