Exclusive: Shabir Ahluwalia on why he keeps his private life away from the spotlight; says ‘I don't like my normal life to be covered'

Television heartthrob Shabir Ahluwalia, who has wowed audiences with his charismatic roles for years, returns in a compelling new avatar in Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil. He plays Yug Sinha, a brilliant but emotionally walled-off lawyer—far from the idealistic characters he's portrayed in the past.
At the launch of the show, Shabir not only spoke about this refreshing new role but also opened up about his fiercely guarded private life.
'I don't protect it, I just don't share it,' he said candidly in an interview with Times of India TV. 'You know, it's something that I feel—I enjoy it, and it's my private life. So it's not that I'm very protective or very secretive. I'm not like that. I'm a normal guy living my normal life, and it's just that my normal life is not covered too much because I don't like it to be covered.'
Despite not sharing much, Shabir clarified that he's not inaccessible either. 'I'm not too guarded or anything that you can't reach out to me. Or I'm sitting in the Avengers Mansion. I'm leading a very happy, normal life.'
He elaborated on why he doesn't post constantly: 'I like to share only things that are personal milestones, achievements, or things I think are worth sharing. But it's difficult for me to share every moment because I'm not into capturing everything. I'm always doing something, living in the present, and I don't feel the need to show it out there.'
On Yug Sinha, he reflected, 'What intrigued me is the subtlety with which he feels things but refuses to show it… It's one of the most refreshing and challenging roles of my career.'

Exclusive- Anuja Sathe gets candid about the preparations behind essaying Karpura Devi in Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan

Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, television's grand historical epic, continues to captivate audiences with tremendous storytelling, grand visuals, and strong performances. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now , who plays the character of Karpura Devi, exclusively shared with Times Of India TV what went behind preparing for the role. The actress also shared her excitement about working with the same team again after . Anuja on working with the team again Very, very exciting because the last show that I did on TV was with the same production house, and now I'm again coming back on TV with the same production itself. So, it's very exciting. It's a great feeling because I know everybody, I've worked with them, and I know how they mount their historical shows. They are specialised, we can say, in making historicals and everything. So, it's great. It's great to be back. And back with the people that I already worked with. What went behind carving a role like Kapura Devi? So, basically, this part of the culture I was completely unaware of. Culture, history and reading up about it and knowing who was involved in this particular region and how the kings ruled and what the history was that went behind it and all of that. That was very new to me. Also, the language part where we have kept the nuances of a little bit of Marwadi and a combination of Hindi. Of course, it's more of Hindi and very little Marwadi is used. But I think that accent and those nuances matter a lot. So, I had to have an understanding of how those words are spoken, what the accent is and how these things are said. Because in the meantime, I had done lots of different work, where it was modern Hindi, English mix, English as we call it. And now going back to the roots, the pure Hindi-based with little Marwadi was a little tough part for me in the beginning. So, I sat with the creatives, and I read the script. We had episodes in our hands already. So, I sat with them so that they could correct me at that given point in time and tell me how it's pronounced. These kinds of preparations went on into putting something into this character. Keep reading this space for more updates.

Exclusive: Ashi Singh on being able to buy a house in Mumbai; ‘I never wanted any designer brands, but this was an important target to achieve'

Actress Ashi Singh , currently seen as Kairi in Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil opposite Shabir Ahluwalia, has achieved a major personal milestone—buying her own house in Mumbai. In an exclusive conversation, Ashi opened up about what this accomplishment means to her and why it was always a top priority. Reflecting on her early days in the city, Ashi shared, 'When I shifted to Mumbai, I was still in school. We always lived on rent. And I don't know why, but people here trouble tenants a lot. It feels like they are giving us money to stay, not the other way around. Even if you pay Rs 50,000 or Rs 1 lakh in rent, you're not treated well. That's at least been our experience.' For Ashi, owning a home wasn't about luxury—it was about stability. 'I didn't want a designer bag or a good car or a sports car—nothing. I just wanted a house, which finally I got. It was an important target to achieve.' Interestingly, despite owning the home, Ashi hasn't moved in yet. 'No, no. In fact, I have not even shifted there because my shoot happens where I stay right now. My set is 10 minutes away. It doesn't make sense to live an hour away. I've always said, wherever my set is, that's where I'll live. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Thị trường có dấu hiệu suy thoái không? Having taken a brief break from television over the last two years, Ashi has returned to screens with a strong role and a major life accomplishment under her belt. Her story is a refreshing reminder that success is as much about personal goals as professional achievements.
