If you usually just buy Mom a gift certificate...we've got you covered.
1. An Our Place ceramic nonstick Always pan that's gonna be a slam-dunk for any mom who loves to cook or just loves cool kitchen products. Though the cult-favorite cookware is beloved for its cool monochrome look, it's also mega-useful: it can be used for baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, searing, and more. All that *and* it looks amazing sitting on her stove top? You have once again won the "Favorite Child" award.
Target
Set includes an Always Pan 2.0 in original nonstick, a modular, steam-release lid, a nesting beechwood spatula, and a steamer basket and colander.
Promising review:"I love the quality of the pan and lid. The nonstick ceramic surface works beautifully. The pan heats evenly, and food cooks efficiently." — Christina
2. A Theragun massage gun because you're not always around when she needs a shoulder rub. The percussive massage tool has three attachments, plus an easy-to-hold triangle handle, so your mom can melt away her muscle tension with literally zero effort.
Target
Promising review: " I bought this as a gift for my son for Christmas, but one day my sciatica was acting up and I asked to borrow it. Just a few minutes of use gave me hours of relief." — Justme
3. A Nintendo Switch for the mom who loves gaming — or the gaming-curious mom who sees you having fun playing, but isn't sure where to start herself. This + Luigi's Mansion 3 = possibly the most fun Mother's Day hangout of all time.
Target
Promising review:"We like the Switch so far! I like having controller options. Obviously, the graphics get better and better with every Nintendo update. So far, we've purchased Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Super Mario Odyssey. It's something fun my husband and I like to do together. Great purchase!" — Mandy
4. A bamboo bath caddy so your mom can take a relaxing and well-deserved soak in the tub without worrying about her book or phone meeting an untimely end in those soapy waters below.
Target
Promising review:"I'm in college, and my only relaxing time is in the bath. I can now read a book or prop my iPad up and relax in the bath. It's so convenient, and I can also have room for my phone, a candle, and a drink!!" — HannahGrace
5. A robotic vacuum and mop for the mom who loves having a clean house...but would love not to be the one who makes it clean. (Honestly, who DOESN'T this apply to?) This robot mops, dries, and automatically empties its dust tray.
Promising review: " Currently obsessed with this thing. Love it so much. Such an improvement over the last robot vacuum/mop we bought and returned a couple of years ago. So far, I feel it is totally worth the extra money over the other brands. I have especially been surprised at the amount of customization required to clean different areas, from suction power to the rise of carpets and grain direction for wood floors! Also been surprised at it not getting stuck anywhere yet. It can go under and over better than my old robot did. Also, it is much quieter than I expected. I will probably start running the mop at night. The only con is my toddler is afraid of it, lol.!" — ElleB
6. A 30-oz pastel Stanley cup, so she can always stay hydrated no matter how busy her day gets. (Also, how cute would it be if you got the same one and the two of you matched? TWINSIES!)
Target
Promising review: " The cutest color and doesn't get super heavy when filled with ice and a drink! This Stanley is the perfect size for running errands and not weighing down your arm while carrying it." — Dawn
7. A Ninja Creami ice cream maker, because the only thing sweeter than buying your mom a pint of her favorite ice cream is giving her a way to create her brand-new favorite ice cream flavor from scratch. Ben and Jerry, who?
Target
8. A special hardcover edition of Emily Henry's Beach Read, for the mom whose other child is her TBR pile. This edition of the book has a new introduction by the author, a bonus story, and a gorgeous glittery cover and sunset-colored edges — the perfect thing to take on your actual family trip to the beach.
Target
Promising review: " I love Emily Henry. She's such a great author, and I would highly recommend any of her books. I already had Beach Read as a paperback, but when I saw this edition, I knew I had to have it." — aw
9. A wine purifying tool that removes sulfites, aka the things that cause wine headaches. If your mom is an oenophile, might I suggest pairing this with a nice cab franc?
Target
Promising review:"I've owned this purifier for three years. It's awesome. Used to always get headaches from sulfites in red wine, but this took care of that. It doesn't change the taste of the wine, either. It's a little pricey, and you have to buy filters, but if you get bad headaches and love wine, it will be worth it. Their customer service is also top-notch. We accidentally threw away the small red part of the device, contacted the company, and they shipped us a replacement part for free. Five stars all around! Cheers!" — Cat Milgar
10. An ultrasonic skin-scrubbing spatula for the mom whose ideal Friday night involves cracking open a brand-new serum bottle. This handy dandy tool can help deep clean with high-frequency vibrations that lift blackheads, whiteheads, and grime out of the skin and improve product absorption.
Target
Promising reviews:"This does a great job cleaning my skin, I have glass skin after using this product!" — Vickie
11. A breakfast sandwich maker, because your mom deserves breakfast in bed every day...but when you're not around to make it, this sandwich maker (which toasts bread, cooks eggs, and heats ham or bacon) will be the next best thing.
Target
Promising review:"I've been curious about this sandwich maker for a long time but hesitated buying it. I have to say this little gadget is great. It makes a perfect breakfast sandwich and it's so easy to clean. What I really love is you can do other things while the sandwich is cooking which is so helpful for busy mornings." — Hp24601
12. A floral, three-speed Crosley Bluetooth record player that is perfect for moms who held on to their vinyl collection from the '80s and '90s but haven't owned an actual record player since they were in diapers. Bust this portable player out and have her regale you with tales of concerts she went to way before you were born.
Target
Promising review: "The first thing that drew me to this specific record player was the design! Let me tell you, it is even more beautiful in person. I was concerned with the reviews stating it was skipping and the records weren't playing correctly, but I haven't had a single issue with it! I am so glad I didn't listen to those reviews because I would've missed out on a beautiful, well-priced record player!" — Kate
14. A mushroom footstool so your mom can have a place to kick her feet up after a long day and have a new adorable piece of living room decor to give the whole place a touch of funky maximalism.
Target
Promising review:"I got the cream version of this stool, and it far exceeded my expectations. It is large enough to use as a stool for guests on game night, a footstool that I can use to cross my legs on, and to add nice decor to a space. It is easy to clean with a handheld vacuum and has a nice cream color. The base is a dense, firm material, while the top is very squishy and nice to sit on. I am a larger individual, and it is tall and wide enough to comfortably and stably sit on." — Bri
15. A Rifle Paper Co. x Target floral print lamp because the best bouquet you can give your mom is one that will never wilt.
Target
Promising review:"This lamp was perfect for a bedroom refresh! Unsure why some have said the base is light because it's very heavy; it's solid metal. The base is gorgeous, and the printing is perfect — the lampshade is very moody when the lamp is lit, which is great for a bedroom. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with my purchase! Rifle Paper Co. can do no wrong!" — jackalope
16. A weighted knit blanket for the mom who is always looking to discover brand-new levels of coziness. (Hey, like mother, like child, right?)
Target
Promising review:"Oh this is so plush at the fraction of some more big box stores selling them for way more. It's weighted but not uncomfortable, which is why I love it. It doesn't feel like it's crushing you. Anthro looks at Target price? Win-win! Buy it, you won't regret it!" — Hols
17. A coffee maker with iced and latte settings, so your mom can get her caffeine fix just how she likes it, whenever she likes it, without having to wait in an incredibly long line at the coffee shop. (What is that person at the front ordering that's taking so long?? Are they making the barista grow new beans or something??)
Target
Promising review:"I love hot lattes, and this machine makes them great. Love how easy it is to use and love that I don't have to buy coffee pods, which I think create so much waste. The milk frother is a plus as well. It beats using a frothing wand. Highly recommend!" — Reviewgirl50
18. A faux-pearl beaded half-moon clutch purse because it will make your mom look like a million bucks, but luckily, it does not cost a million bucks. I mean, I know you'd spend a million bucks on her if you could, but who has that kind of Mother's Day budget?
Target
Promising review: " Such a cute little bag. It has some weight to it because of the beading, but to me, it looks more expensive than some cheap hollow plastic beads. My beads had no glue or anything on them like a previous reviewer experienced. It fits my iPhone 15 with room for lip gloss and maybe a thin card case. Definitely a dressier look." — LCreports
19. A pickleball beginners kit, so you and mom can pick up a new hobby together. You know the famous saying: the family that gets waaaaay too into pickleball together stays together.
The kit includes two paddles and two balls.
Promising reviews:"We're beginners, and this set is perfect for us. The colors are so pretty in person. So far, we don't have any problem with it; I hope it lasts a long time.😀" — Target customer
"Such a nice set! I've used them a couple of times, and they're great. Perfect start to trying out pickleball." — ap
20. A Bluetooth-enabled Polaroid pocket printer that literally fits in any pocket or bag and can instantly turn any digital photo into a sticker or print. It's a great way for you and your fam to create some new, adorable family portraits together...or a great way for Mom to prank you by printing out 20 copies of your third-grade class photo.
Target
21. A jar of vegan unicorn body butter because it's a major step up from the generic jar of hand lotion we've all given on Mother's Days past. This body butter is vegan, cruelty free, smells like candy, and looks like an actual freakin' rainbow! If your mom loves whimsy and hates dry skin, you've got a winner here.
Target
Promising review:"Love this body butter. It is thick when you first apply, but it soaks in and leaves my skin silky soft! I am also someone who is allergic to most fragrances, but I can use Truly products without a reaction, and it smells amazing!" — Jessica A
22. A 5-quart Ninja air fryer that air fries, bakes, and crisps, so your mom doesn't have to leave the house (or hit up DoorDash) whenever she gets a mozzarella stick craving.
Target
Promising reviews:"It was good enough that I bought one for my mother-in-law for Christmas as well." — Tedward
"It has a great basket to fit in quite a bit, but it's not overly huge on the counter. It is a bit loud, but it cooks well air frys so well! We are really enjoying it so far, and it works great on small potatoes, looking forward to using it even more!" — MrMikeG
Price: $119.99
23. A zodiac candle for the mom who's always emailing you your horoscope — here's a great way to thank her for always giving you a heads up when it's about to be Mercury Retrograde.
24. A retro-looking portable Bluetooth speaker with AM/FM functions because your mom remembers when your grandparents had a radio that looked like this! That old radio, however, could not hook up to their phones and play murder podcasts. The future is now!
Target
Promising review:"I own one and liked it so much, I purchased one as a Christmas present. It's aesthetically pleasing but also functional. It has a great sound and is portable. I use it in my kitchen and on my deck. Very happy with this vintage-looking item." — L2West

25. An ultra-modern glass watering can, for anyone whose mom is also a plant mom. But I swear she loves you more than her monstera plant (probably).
Target
Promising review: " Love it on my kitchen shelves and great for watering my indoor plants. I like it so much I bought another one for a gift." — Kaitlin
Price: $20

Video: Mom Goes Viral For 'Embarrassing' Behavior At College World Series

Video: Mom Goes Viral For 'Embarrassing' Behavior At College World Series originally appeared on The Spun. An apparent mom is going viral for her "embarrassing" behavior at the College World Series in Omaha. The LSU Tigers topped the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in the College World Series. LSU topped Coastal Carolina in back-to-back games to win the College World Series for the second time in three years. It's the eighth national championship in program history. Meanwhile, at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, an LSU Tigers fan is going viral for her "embarrassing" behavior on the field. Tensions grew between a woman in a yellow dress and a man in an LSU Tigers football jersey. From the report: The gentleman in the LSU football jersey (clearly a little confused about which sport is being played) looks like he's enjoying the spirited conversation he's having with the lady in the yellow dress. It would appear the yellow-dressed lady doesn't feel the same way, though. Middle fingers are being flung and obscenities are being screamed, and it takes a lady from a different section in addition to the husband (?) to hold this psycho fan back from making some questionable decisions. The College World Series is often praised for its wild atmosphere. Thankfully, things didn't escalate to too much of a crazy level on Sunday. I've played the Switch 2 for over a week and it's missing these key games

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Nintendo Switch 2. From snappier Joy-Cons to improved performance, there was a lot to get hyped for. But now, over a week after its official release, I'm at odds. While I think the improvements are promising, especially the larger and more vibrant screen, it's the software that's taken the most enormous misstep. It's owed largely to the fact that the Switch 2 launched with just one main first-party game in Mario Kart World. The rest are third-party titles that launched years prior, including Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Street Fighter 6, and Hogwarts Legacy. Don't get me wrong, these are fantastic games — Cyberpunk being one of my all-time favorites — I wish the Switch 2 had a bit more going for it. Especially given its exorbitant price tag. Surprisingly, Nintendo didn't have more Mario games up its sleeve for the new hardware. You'd think Nintendo would want to come out with a bang, highlighting major features using its very bread and butter with something like a Mario Odyssey 2 or even a Super Smash Bros sequel. Instead, we got Mario Kart World, a rather lackluster experience in terms of overall content. You can have a blast so long as you have a good crew to play with, but beyond that, it's a pretty limiting title and really comes down to your enjoyment of racing games to begin with. You could point out some of the incredible visual and performance enhancements available for more well-known titles, like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. But it's a significant drag that older Nintendo games are being put on a pedestal. I know some games are releasing in the coming months that could put these woes to bed, like Donkey Kong Bananza and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Still, Nintendo should have launched with more first-party experiences to make up for the already limited lineup, like a revamped Mario Party, Luigi's Mansion, or Mario Golf. I can't lie, FromSoftware is one of my favorite video game developers. That's why I was let down by the fact that the Switch 2 edition of Elden Ring didn't launch along with the system, and there's no real understanding of when it might release. The Nintendo website says it's supposed to release this year, but it's still unclear when that might be. That's a massive release for Nintendo and works to get some extra fans interested in FromSoft games ahead of the launch of Duskbloods on the Switch 2 next year. That's why I wish more FromSoft games were launching on the system. Instead of just Elden Ring, why not bring over some of the additional Dark Souls series of games to the platform? The original Switch already has access to Dark Souls Remastered, and it's not like Dark Souls 2 or 3 would be too intensive for the refreshed hardware. A full Dark Souls trilogy available on the Switch 2 from the outset would have been huge for fans of the developer. You could even throw in Sekiro, which is one of its most beloved experiences and even won Game of the Year in 2019. That would make for a killer software suite and probably wouldn't take too much effort to put together. As of writing, FromSoftware fans just have Dark Souls Remastered to play around in on the Switch 2 as they wait for Elden Ring and Duskbloods, which is a tad unfortunate, seeing as it's pretty much dead in terms of co-op and PvP invasions. Although it is a family console, the Switch 2 is missing out on more horror titles. If you're a fan of killer thrillers and terrifying horror experiences, you're largely stuck with the games that already existed on the original Switch. I'm a huge horror fan, and it's a bit of a drag to see such a minimal offering in this category. Just take a peek at the official Nintendo online eShop for its Switch 2 titles, and you'll see that horror isn't even an option in its genre selection. Again, I understand this is more of a family console, and horror probably isn't the most-searched genre on Switch, but the variety would be a welcome change for the platform. Nintendo could have tapped some heavy hitters for a well-rounded third-party horror selection, including Dead Space remake, Metro Exodus, Still Wakes the Deep, and Slitterhead, to name a few. Maybe it's the fact that horror is just too niche for the Switch to begin with, but I'd like to see a wider offering on the more adept hardware. Especially given that beloved horror franchises in Silent Hill and Resident Evil are basking in the limelight with massive hits on the horizon. If you are one of the few looking for some horror games on the Switch 2, I recommend playing Observer, Fatum Betula, Signalis, and World of Horror. They don't put the new hardware to the test, but they are nail-biting as ever.

I Spent A Whole Day In Epic Universe's Nintendo World, And There Are A Few Keys That Will Maximize The Experience

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Universal's Epic Universe is now open to the public, and whether you think it's a Disney World killer or not, there's no denying it's a great theme park once you visit. This is especially true if you're a longtime obsessive Nintendo fan like me, and just got to take your daughter to experience the wondrous Super Nintendo World in person. I can confirm it's even more glorious than videos and photos do it justice, and I spent a whole day in the land riding rides, looking for popcorn buckets, and just having an absolute blast with my seven-year-old. That said, I think I also learned some keys to maximizing the experience, and I'm hoping to pass them along to others ahead of their trip so that they make the most out of their time in the park. I'm a frugal guy, so when it comes to the "bells and whistles" of the theme park experience, I'm gonna pass more often than not. For example, I decided not to get the express pass for me and my daughter, but I'll get into that more in the next section. Because I'm frugal, I also passed on the opportunity to get a Power-Up Band (against the advice of CB's Jessica Rawden) for myself, but I absolutely understood the reason for getting one for my daughter. Most of the appeal of the park is feeling like you're in an actual Super Mario Bros. video game, and unless you have the band, you're going to miss out on the appeal of that experience. And trust me, I can understand the pain of paying for a Disney Magic Band that offers less functional value than an actual Magic Band, but all that goes out the window the first time you get to or see someone else hit a question block for a coin. It's a feeling that never gets old, and there are so many other neat things to do with it when you get inside. There's an "underground" experience where you traverse the underbelly of the Mushroom Kingdom, and use it to unlock cool easter eggs along the way. Plus, if you're someone who enjoys achievements, the band collects digital stamps and rewards for all the various accolades you collect while spending time in the park. We weren't able to complete everything in a full day there, so there is a reason to hold onto it in case you return in the future. Additionally, I've seen the band also functions as an amiibo if you own a Nintendo Switch, so store it in a safe place if you do purchase. As I'm sure readers know, the Orlando experience is not cheap. A day at the hottest new theme park in the area, with a day at Magic Kingdom at Disney World the following day, was making my wallet weep. Not to mention, I already paid for the premier pass for Magic Kingdom, so I figured I could skimp on getting an Express Pass to ride the three rides at Super Nintendo World. The original plan was to run through Super Nintendo World, check out some of the other parts of the park that others I work with raved about, and then get out by dinner time to meet up with family who didn't tag along. In the seven hours I was in the park, we spent all of it in Super Nintendo World, and a good deal of that time was spent waiting to ride Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, Yoshi's Adventure, and Mine Cart Madness. If you're trying to see the whole park, I think the express pass is the way to go. I also say that if you're looking for comfort, because full disclosure, those lines can be long and rough on a summer day. I will say the full queue for Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge is mostly indoors and air-conditioned, and full of easter eggs, so if you have to wait in line, it's so refreshing and fun to do so. I wish I could say the same for Yoshi's Adventure, as outside of some artwork and music from Nintendo Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, you could breeze through it and not miss much. I would say the same for Mine Cart Madness as well, as even the great soundtrack of Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3 music was not enough to make up for having to be out in the blazing sun for a bulk of the wait. Bottom line, if you need comfort or are on a tight schedule, spend the extra money on the Express Pass. Going into Epic Universe, I had one objective in mind. I was going to leave with a souvenir Donkey Kong mug that came with a purchase of the DK Crush Float at The Bubbly Barrel. I dreamt of that mug for weeks, and all the things I might drink out of it. Hell, I was planning on splitting the float with my daughter while we waited in line for Donkey Kong: Mine-Cart Madness. By the way, that roller coaster is as incredible as it looks, though way more intense and scary for a seven-year-old than you might think by watching the videos of it online. More On Epic Universe I Went On Every Ride At Epic Universe. One Ride Stood Out Above Them All Unfortunately, when I arrived, The Bubbly Barrel's machine was not working. A bummer, to be sure, and on top of that, I was unable to purchase the souvenir cup without even getting the float in exchange. It's wild to say I would've actually done that, but considering I couldn't buy it in the gift shop, I was left with little other option than to ask. It wasn't the only thing I was disappointed to leave without when I finished my day at Epic Universe. I also had my heart set on getting a Bowser shirt with a neon logo, but was unable to track it down when I ventured through the merchandise store. I ended up buying a Donkey Kong drinking glass, which I still really love, but couldn't help but be disappointed that I left with neither of the things I'd wanted. All this to say, Super Nintendo World was absolutely filled to the brim with people when I was in there, and I don't imagine it'll be any less crowded anytime soon. There's only a limited amount of merchandise available, so I wouldn't suggest setting your heart on grabbing any one piece of anything until you're there and can assure you'll get your hands on it. Also, even when the machine is working, that line at The Bubbly Barrel is super long, so be prepared to wait if you want that mug like I did. Overall, I'd have to say that Epic Universe was a real joy, though I do hope to see more of it overall the next time I get to visit. Be sure to check it out, and take heed of my tips about Super Nintendo World if you're looking to have the best time possible.
