Von Dellingshausen fights back tears after Austrian Alpine Open glory
Nicolai von Dellingshausen earned his maiden DP World Tour title after producing a brilliant burst of scoring around the turn on Sunday to win the Austrian Alpine Open by two shots.
The German started the day one shot off the lead but found himself three in front after 10 holes thanks to a birdie-eagle-birdie run from the eighth.
He had to overcome some hurdles on the back nine but managed to par his way home to finish the tournament on 19-under-par, two clear of long-time leader Marcel Schneider and last week's winner Kristoffer Reitan, who fired a bogey-free 60 to set a testing clubhouse target.
HotelPlanner Tour graduate Von Dellingshausen said: "I'm trying really hard not to cry. It's been such a tough journey the last two-and-a-half years with losing the card.
"It's all got me to this stage right here and now I'm here!
"Thanks to everyone who came out here and just watched and supported us. It kind of feels like a home tournament for me.
"I love playing in Austria. I always play well when I play here for some reason - must be the food!
"It was just amazing to have so many people coming out here cheering for us."
Ireland's Conor Purcell signed off with a four-under 66, his best round of the tournament, to finish in a tie for 56th on one-under-par.

Tommy Fleetwood eyes end to PGA Tour drought at Travelers Championship
While he's won seven times on the DP World Tour, the Englishman (34) is seeking his first PGA Tour win in his 159th start. After racking up 41 top-10 finishes and winning $29.3 million on the US circuit — the most of any player without a win on the tour since 1983 — he has a chance to end the drought today after he shot a bogey-free, seven-under 63 to lead by three shots from Russell Henley and Keegan Bradley on 16-under. 'I'm on top of a lot of stat lines for people that haven't won on the PGA Tour, so to always to be a No. 1 at something is always nice,' Fleetwood joked at TPC River Highlands. 'Yeah, of course, I would love to win on the PGA Tour. I think it's an element of your career that everybody wants, and I, of course, want it. 'I've given myself like a back-end chance a couple of times this year, but I've not been in contention. 'This is my first real chance, so I'm really excited about that and looking forward to it. 'Again, it's easy to put pressure on yourself, and the longer things go on, the more people talk about it, of course they do. 'But there are also things that I'm very proud about as well, like my consistency, where I stand FedEx Cups and World Rankings and things like that. So there's a lot to be happy about. 'But of course, I'm not going to be silly and say I don't care about it. Of course, I want to win, and hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later.' Approaching storms mean that tee times have been adjusted, and Fleetwood will tee off at 5:56pm Irish time with Henley and local favourite Bradley, who shot respective rounds of 61 and 63 yesterday. Tournament favourite Scottie Scheffler goes into the final round nine shots behind after he made a triple bogey at the first on his 29th birthday and a double bogey on the eighth en route to a 72. He's in a six-way tie for eighth that includes Rory McIlroy, who birdied four of his first eight holes to surge into contention before he double-bogeyed the 12th and signed for a 68. Shane Lowry showed signs of life following his US Open disappointment as he bounced back from rounds of 72 and 73 with a five-birdie 66 that moved him up to joint 51st on one-over.
