Driver charged after horror crash killed three young men in Falkirk
A 21-year-old has been charged in connection with the fatal crash that killed all three of her passengers last year.
A 21-year-old woman has been arrested and charged almost a year after three young men were killed in a horror crash in Falkirk.
Reece Williams, 23, Lewis Soden, 24 and Connor Page, 21, died after the white Ford Focus they were passengers in crashed on Moss Road near Dunmore around 6.15pm on Friday, 26 July.
The three young men died at the scene. The driver, who was 20-years-old at the time, was rushed to Forth Valley Hospital for treatment but was later released.
Police have now confirmed that the female driver has been arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence. She is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.
The heartbroken families of the three young men all released a statement shortly after the tragic incident paying tribute.
Reece's family said: "Reece will forever be a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. There will not be a day where we don't hold space to remember Reece and the memories that we made together.
"We'd like to express our thanks to the emergency services, witnesses and to everyone who has sent their condolences."
Lewis' family said: "Lewis has and will forever be a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend to many.
"There will not be a day where Lewis won't be missed and where we won't hold room in our hearts to remember him and the memories that we all made together.
"We would also like to express our thanks to all the emergency services, witnesses and to everyone who has sent their condolences."
Connor's family added: "Connor was loved beyond words."
Police launched a probe last July when the three men lost their lives appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
Sergeant Elaine Scott said at the time: 'Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of all involved at this very difficult time.
'Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to please get in touch."
She added: 'I would also appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage that could assist to contact us.'

Police Scotland confirmed that a report had now been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

He was released on bail following his initial arrest but was caught delivering cannabis again almost a year later. Shakr Hamad, 30, was stopped by police driving a Ford Focus in Cardiff on April 10 last year after they could smell cannabis emanating from his car. He also appeared to be under the influence and tested positive for cannabis. A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday heard a carrier bag was found and when searched it was found to contain eight zip lock bags containing cannabis, worth up to £400 in total. Also found in the car was £440 in cash and an iPhone which revealed the defendant had been sent a number of postcodes in quick succession. Prosecutor Sol Hartley said Hamad was working as a drugs runner for an organised crime group who was directed to deliver cannabis to various addresses in Cardiff. The defendant was released on bail but on March 15 this year he was stopped by police in Llansannor Way, Butetown, after he was seen interacting with a man from inside his BMW. His phone was seized and Hamad was found to be a member of a Whats App group with several other people who were working as drugs runners. During his police interview, the defendant became agitated and began punching himself in the head. Hamad, of Rhymney Street, Cathays, later pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, possession of criminal property, possession of an offensive weapon and driving whilst disqualified. The court heard he has one previous conviction for motoring offences, for which he was disqualified from driving. In mitigation, Harry Baker said his client had made an asylum application to remain in the UK, which had been unsuccessful, but he has since made another application. More info The man accused of murdering Eddie Lyons and Ross Monaghan in Spain appeared in court on Friday. Michael Terrence Riley from the Merseyside area, was arrested by local officers last week in connection with the deaths of Eddie Lyons and Ross Monaghan after an international arrest warrant was issued by Spanish cops, the Daily Record. He is charged with two counts of murder and one of possession of a firearm over the incident which saw Monaghan, 43, and Lyons, 46, killed at Monaghan's bar in Fuengirola. Riley first appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 19, but the hearing was delayed due to technical issues. During a brief hearing today, a court date for his next appearance was set. Riley, who is represented in court by specialist extradition lawyer Renata Pinter, will appear again before the same court next month, on July 18. He was remanded in custody until then. The full hearing, where Riley will challenge extradition, is scheduled for October 9 this year. The Lyons crime clan has been locked in a deadly feud with the rival Daniel mob for a quarter of a century, following the theft of drugs from a Glasgow safe house in 2001. A top Spanish cop told reporters the assassinations of Monaghan and Lyons are part of the feud, claiming that Riley is a member of the Daniel gang. Speaking at a press conference in Spain, Pedro Agudo Novo said: "The double murder was carried out by a professional killer and member of one of the victims' rival gangs. "In this case we are not talking about an independent hired killer but an internal member of the rival Daniels gang who ends up assassinating two members of an enemy gang." Scottish police, who have been investigating the war between the rival crime syndicates for decades, seemed to suggest the killing had nothing to do with their rivalry - or the war on the Daniel mob being waged by Lyons associate Ross McGill. Henchmen of the Dubai-based former Rangers ultra - who headed the Union Bears fan group and is nicknamed 'Miami' - have waged war on the Daniel mob and associates for the last few months. The feud has seen a number of homes, people and businesses targeted in firebombings, knife attacks and shootings, in Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas, and is being investigated by Police Scotland as part of Operation Portaledge.
