Car gets stuck in sand after rescue attempt at Boscombe Beach
A car has become stuck in the sand at a tourist hot spot for the third time this summer.A witness told the BBC that a black Land Rover drove onto Boscombe Beach in Bournemouth to try and rescue two people on a broken-down water scooter.Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council are installing warning signs to remind people not to drive on to the sand following this latest incident on Tuesday evening. The local authority said cars should not be driven on the beach for the safety of tourists and residents
Lee Williams and two of his friends were out fishing when they spotted the vehicle driving near to Boscombe Pier.
He said he noticed the water scooter had been broken down for at least two hours and watched as the 4x4 driver reversed their trailer into the sea in an attempt to help. His two friends then assisted the driver by pushing the car free from the water.
BCP Council is reminding people that driving on the beach is "strictly prohibited."Councillor Richard Herrett, cabinet member for destination, leisure and commercial operations, said: "The safety of residents and visitors enjoying the seafront, including children, is paramount and there are plenty of car parks conveniently located across the three towns and close to the beaches."We will be placing signs along the beach road to remind drivers they must not drive onto the sand."

A HAUNTING graveyard of rotting vintage vehicles has been captured in the British countryside. Kyle found the graveyard hidden away behind dense vegetation near the home of elderly couple Brian and Barbara. Other images show old tractors and JCBs scattered across the property, giving it an eerie abandoned atmosphere. He also found a BMW 635 CSI, once a sign of luxury, slowly being reclaimed by nature. With iconic styling and nicknamed 'shark nose' the motor was very much the symbol of the BMW range after being introduced in 1978. Kyle's visit took an unexpected turn when he stumbled upon Brian himself who revealed his hopes for the future. He said: "Brian has full intentions of one day being able to restore this high car collection, but given his age of 70+, I highly doubt he will get around to restoring all the cars and fire trucks. "He has been victim to some of the cars being smashed to bits by youths."

New railway car park aims to curb Brough parking woes

There is a charge of £3 on Saturdays and parking is free on Sundays.
