BBC The Traitors releases brand new season and you can watch all 12 episodes now

Daily Record3 days ago

A brand new series of The Traitors has just dropped on BBC iPlayer.
The Traitors fans who are struggling to pass the time between the latest season of the show and the highly anticipated Celebrity version later this year will be delighted to know the BBC has just dropped a new season of the programme to make the wait more bearable. The latest season saw Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown take home the grand crash prize after a nail-biting finale was filled with brutal banishments.
Since then, the BBC has confirmed the star-studded cast list for the upcoming Celebrity Traitors, which includes Charlotte Church, Alan Carr, and Jonathan Ross among the contestants. The show will air on screens this autumn but if that feels too far away then the spin-off series The Traitors NZ has just dropped on iPlayer.

All 12 episodes are now available to stream while the programme airs on BBC Three. The second season of the New Zealand edition of the show sees 22 contestants descend on Claremont Manor, which sits at the foot of Mount Horrible in Timaru.

The group of Kiwis compete around the roundtable in the hopes of winning up to $100k, which equates to over £44k, the Metro reports.
The spin off sees UK host Claudia Winkleman's role being filled by New Zealand TV presenter Paul Henry, who also hosts the New Zealand version of The Chase, making him the local equivalent of Bradley Walsh.
The new season of the psychological game show is filled with classic mind games, kicking off with a bizarre task that asks the contestants to search the ground for body parts of a doll.
The inaugural season of The Traitors NZ relied on offbeat casting choices, with many contestants knowing one another before entering the Manor, to make the show stand out from its British, American and Australian editions.
Anyone unsure about whether or not its their cup of tea, its difficult to make a dismal season of The Traitors when the format is fairly bulletproof.

After the group of Traitors are selected by Henry in the first episode, the new season quickly moves on to the murdering and manipulation.
Commenting underneath an X post announcing the new season of The Traitors NZ, fans rushed to have their say on the show.

One particularly enthusiastic viewer even went as far as to brand it as the 'by far the best English speaking series of The Traitors.'
Another impressed viewer echoed: "I enjoyed this season some good players and deceiving."

A third penned: "This is so good!! I'm obsessed." A fourth simply stated: "Can't stop watching this!"
Elsewhere in The Traitors universe, the US spin-off is set to return soon with a new cast of celebs waiting to enter the Scottish castle.
Hosted by the iconic Scots presenter Alan Cumming, the season four cast has been confirmed.
It includes big names like Love Island star Maura Higgins and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna.
The Traitors NZ is available to stream on BBC iPlayer, with episodes airing on BBC Three from 8pm on July 16.
