Celebrities are gearing up for the second day of action in the sunshine at Royal Ascot, but Princess Kate opted against attending as she continues her return to duties following her cancer treatment
The celebrity styles were out in force as the famous faces soaked up the sun on day two of Royal Ascot. The iconic horse racing event always brings the eye-catching look, and the second day's proceedings didn't disappoint.
Statement headpieces and showstopping dresses are always front and centre at the stylish annual event. As is perfect tailoring impeccable tailoring.
However, there was no sign of Princess Kate. The Princess of Wales had been expected to join her husband Prince William at Royal Ascot today. It was confirmed she will not be there as she continues her gradual return to duties following her cancer treatment
She is said to be disappointed at not attending the famous social and sporting occasion in Berkshire, with her name having been initially included in the official programme as taking part in today's carriage procession in the second carriage alongside William.
While Kate wasn't in attendance, her mum looked fabulous as she turned up in a summery look. Carole chose an airy lemon outfit and matching hat, while clutching a handbag of the same colour.
She was joined by daughter-in-law Allizee Thevenet. Alizee opted for a similar style pastel outfit that was nipped at the waist.
And Abbey Clancy was also sure to make an impressive entrance, too. She took to Instagram prior to her appearance to show her dazzling look with her followers. She struck a pose as she simply captioned her upload: "Ascot day".
She looked stunning in a sleeveless silk gown which effortlessly hugged her trim physique. She completed the look with matching pointed-toe heels and a boater hat.
Elsewhere, Georgia Toffolo lived up to the beauty is pain statement as she joked she "can't breathe" in her tight outfit. The former Made In Chelsea star took to the racecourse wearing a pale yellow dress that she accessorised with a bright red feathered fascinator.
On Twitter /X, she wrote: "Breathing may be optional in this dress but it's worth it for Day 2 of Ascot. Going a bit more classic today: elegant, structured, and just the right amount of COLOUR!"
Charlotte Hawkins also went for the colourful approach on a hot summer's day. The presenter donned a stunning floral patterned design that she paired with a sun hat.
Lady Victoria Hervey was also in attendance. She opted for a green patterned dress that she matched up with a white blazer and fascinator.
Zara and Mike Tindall also glammed up for the occasion. The former rugby union star wore a black morning suit jacket and top hat with a royal blue tie. Zara, meanwhile, went for a floral design and rose topper.
Yesterday saw Penny Lancaster among those stealing the show with her stunning design. She joined son Alastair, 19, for the opening day's proceedings.
She turned heads she stepped out in a glamorous vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress. The mother and son duo enjoyed some quality time together in a the rare public outing – weeks ahead of musician Sir Rod's epic Glastonbury headline performance.

I would ask people to tell the truth." Grede came back: "You're very measured about it, I would just get so angry if I felt like everyone was lying about me all the time." "Peaks and valleys," said the Duchess. "Of course, I've gone through those chapters and you do a lot of work, you do a lot of self work and go, 'What's the why?' It's happening for a reason." Experts have been speculating over what the "lie" is, and suggested Meghan was referring to the Royal Family when she said "people". They highlighted Meghan and Harry's 2021 Oprah interview, during which the Duchess said: 'I don't know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.' Racegoers make the most of the scorching sun as they step out in their Summer finery for the last day of racing's most famous event
Stylish racegoers dusted off their best frocks and put their best fashion foot forward as they arrived for the fifth and final day of Royal Ascot. And for once, it appeared there was not a cloud in a the sky, and rain would not spoil the day at the Berkshire racecourse. In fact, it may have been too hot for some, with temperatures reaching roasting 28C at one point. Bright colours were the order of the day - alongside statement hats of course - and the crowd was a sea of people dressed in vibrant hues. A number of attendees opted for yellow, looking Summery and stylish in their bright ensembles. Many opted for midi or even full-length gowns, making the demure look front and centre when it came to fashion. But as ever, some of the most striking style moments came in the form of headgear, with some racegoers opting for truly eye- catching millinery. Dressed to the nines, groups of classy racegoers also opted to coordinate their attire for the annual occasion, rather than wearing their ensembles solo. Many glamorous revellers showed off their fashion prowess by donning one of the major trends of the season - monochrome outfits. When it comes to fashion, the word monochrome is often used to describe an ensemble that is black or white. However, what it truly means, is an outfit where all items are the same colour (irrespective of what the colour is). In order to create a look which is not flat and boring, those who choose to dress in a monochrome look will often mix colours of the same hue, but different shades. These differences - though subtle - add depth and visual interest to an outfit, while looking chic. Another noticeable style choice made by many revellers was their choice of block colour over prints. While there were, of course, a few attendees who did opt for a patterned ensemble, it was unlike many other years, where prints - often floral or botanical - reign supreme. Making the most of the heat, stunning ballgowns, sizable fascinators and dapper top hats were also all on display as hundreds of well-heeled race enthusiasts made the most of the hot weather which is a rarity in the UK. Royal Ascot, known as the jewel in the crown of the UK racing calendar, will welcome hundreds of thousands of punters during the five-day meet. Whilst no dress code rules apply in the Windsor Enclosure, although the majority of guests choose to dress up regardless, a strict dress code operates across the Royal and Queen Anne Enclosures. Hats are a must in both Royal enclosures. Alternatively, a headpiece or 'hatinator' with a minimum base diameter of 4 inches (10cm) is also acceptable. Dresses must be knee length or longer and forget spaghetti straps - all shoulders must be a minimum width of 1 inch (2.5cm). Strapless, off-the-shoulder and one shoulder items are also banned in the Royal and Queen Anne Enclosures. Shorts of any kind are not permitted. But having been included in the dress code since 1971, trouser suits remain a popular choice - although they mustn't be mismatched. From 2017 onwards, jumpsuits have also been accepted as Ascot worthy, while men must stick to black dress shoes worn with ankle socks, but there are no footwear specifications for women. The Royal Family - who are known to adore equestrian sports - make appearances at Royal Ascot every year. The Prince of Wales attended Ascot solo last year as it came a couple of months after Kate first announced to the world that she had been diagnosed with cancer. This year, William also went to the event without the Princess of Wales by his side, as he was pictured alongside his father, King Charles. He instead sat beside Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud, a member of the ruling royal family of Saudi Arabia, and opposite Charles, 76, and Camilla, 77, as they made their way to the racecourse by carriage as other revellers looked on. It has been reported that pulled out of attending the prestigious five-day meet at the last minute as she continues to 'find the right balance' following her battle with cancer. Racegoers had been hoping to catch a glimpse of Kate as William was named as one of the figures awarding race prizes during day two of the festival. The TV star took to her Instagram stories where she shared a video of her new pool in her back garden. Amy showed off her new pool as walked around the garden to tell followers about the lavish addition. She captioned the post: "I have just come and sit here by the pool feeling the luckiest girl in the world." She then tagged her partner Billy and said "It's coming together". The next story then showed Amy's kids enjoying the heatwave and playing in the pool. Amy has recently been under the spotlight due to her weight loss. She has revealed the real reason behind it as she said that "people don't know what is going on behind closed doors." Speaking exclusively to OK!, Amy addressed the recent speculation about her weight loss and the vicious trolling she's been put through as a result of it., following her mum's heart attack. She said: "People don't know what is going on behind closed doors. "I'm going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me. I worry about my mum constantly. She's very emotional – she thinks she's going to have another heart attack." Amy added: "People think I'm not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I'm a bit heavier than I am at the moment. There's so much going on at the minute – it's the result of pure stress. We're also having renovations done in the midst of parenting four kids. "But I'm strong, I've been in this industry for 15 years. I've had lots of people concerned about me, which I completely understand, but yes, people can be so quick to judge. "It's so unfair – it shouldn't matter what size people are. Imagine if I was really happy and healthy this way? I've been open about losing too much, but I'm working towards putting some back on now." Amy has also addressed rumours that she had been using weight loss injections. She has denied this but has said she tried it once 18 months ago, but that is all. She said that the jab made her feel "so, so ill" and threw up three of four times as a result. Amy said the side effects "scared" her so much that she stopped using it "immediately". Amy said that she went to a private doctor with the hope of losing some weight. She had her weight and blood pressure checked during a consultation before being prescribed the injections which started at the lowest dose. However, Amy then chose to change her lifestyle instead. She began training and eating a healthy diet as she has worked with Freya from Potentia who is an online weight-loss coach based in Dubai.
