Feedback is vital to grow as an actor: Akshitha Bopaiah
Actress Akshitha Bopaiah, whose last outing was Trivikrama has signed a new project, Kamal Sridevi, directed by Sunil. "My character is a very fierce and unapologetic independent girl, but she is also grappling with some societal pressure.
Throughout the film, her journey is about embracing her truth with greater courage and finding strength in love and community. The tempo of the story keeps shifting, as there are seven major characters in it. I also got to work with seniors like Kishore and Ramesh Indira, and got appreciation for my work, which is wonderful."
One should understand the nuances of the character when saying yes to a role. That's the most important thing
Akshita
The actress, despite having several movies in the pipeline, like Dear Wife and Flirt, did not have any releases in the recent past. She says, "I have also finished shooting for a
Tamil movie
. Being a young actor who wants to build a career, it's frustrating when the audience is not able to see my work. Only then can I get feedback and mould my career accordingly."

Symphony of flavours & emotions at Tuya
Chef Suresh DC's journey from a passionate culinary enthusiast to a celebrated chef is a testament to his commitment to both innovation and tradition. An award-winning culinary maestro, he is acclaimed for his inventive flair in transforming familiar dishes into extraordinary gastronomic experiences. Fuelled by an unwavering passion for food, Chef Suresh has earned global recognition — featured in The World's 50 Best Discoveries and ranked as the 16th Best Chef by the prestigious Culinary Culture Awards, which celebrate India's finest culinary talent. Now, he brings his dream project, Tuya, to Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills. In a conversation with CE, Chef Suresh shares what Tuya truly represents, his deep-rooted connection to his heritage, and his firm belief that South Indian cuisine deserves a larger spotlight on the global stage. Excerpts Tell us about Tuya. It means 'pure' in Tamil. It was a long-time dream. Like many chefs, right after college, the goal is to open your own restaurant. Unfortunately, that dream doesn't come true for many, but I was passionate. I always wanted to serve pure, authentic food. By authentic, I mean flavour-wise. But in terms of presentation, since I trained in European kitchens for six years, I try to bring those techniques to the food I grew up currently have 102 seats. It's actually pretty massive. Initially, I wanted a small space with a one-page menu. But the market here demanded a bigger menu, so I decided not to take that risk. What kind of food can people expect at Tuya? You'll find familiar local dishes, but reimagined. For instance, we have Sarva Pindi, but made with avocado. Then there's Muntha Masala, instead of the usual mirchi bhajji, we've done it with a Gongura tempura twist. We also serve a Hazelnut Pootharekulu. So the idea is to take favourites and improvise — make them fun, yet rooted.

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Dhanush and Nagarjuna's much-anticipated thriller drama 'Kuberaa' has opened to a strong start at the box office/ The movie has collected an impressive Rs 13 crore (India net) on its first day. Kuberaa Movie Review According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the multilingual film has performed especially well in the Telugu-speaking regions, giving it a solid launchpad for the weekend. Telugu version leads the charge 'Kuberaa' saw a remarkable occupancy rate in its Telugu version, registering an overall 57.36% occupancy across theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Hyderabad recorded an outstanding 67% overall occupancy, with night shows touching 88% across 530 shows. according to the reports. Kuberaa Review: Dhanush & Nagarjuna Deliver Fireworks | Rashmika's Surprise Act | Fans React Moderate response in Tamil and low in other languages The Tamil version of 'Kuberaa' recorded a fair overall occupancy of 33.73% on Friday. While morning and afternoon shows were relatively lower, night shows picked up with a 47.46% occupancy, particularly in Chennai. The night occupancy reached 89% in Chennai. However, the film's reach was limited in other languages. In the Kannada version, the film saw only a 6.54% overall occupancy, and the Hindi version saw a slightly better 6.73%, with night shows reaching just over 10%. The Malayalam version recorded minimal traction with an overall occupancy of only 2.32%. Positive signs ahead The film's pan-Indian release strategy appears to have paid off, at least in the Telugu and Tamil belts. Strong nighttime occupancies and buzz around the star power of Dhanush and Nagarjuna suggest 'Kuberaa' could see a significant jump over the weekend. If the momentum continues, Kuberaa might just become one of the surprise box office successes of mid-2025. ETimes gave the movie a rating of 3.5 stars and our review reads, "Where Kuberaa falters is in its pacing. The first half takes its time to build the world—perhaps a little too slowly."
