Israeli aggression on Tulkarm continues to escalate, expand for 146th day

Saba Yemen7 hours ago

Tulkarm – Saba:
Israeli enemy forces continued their escalating aggression on the city of Tulkarm in occupied Palestine and its camp on Saturday for the 146th consecutive day, and for the 133rd day on Nur Shams camp.
For the second day in a row, the enemy forces escalated their aggression against a number of towns north and east of the Tulkarm governorate, amid ongoing demolition operations and a tightening of the military siege.
The official Palestinian News Agency reported that three Israeli enemy military bulldozers continued to demolish more residential buildings in Nur Shams camp, specifically in al-Manshiya and al-Shuhada neighborhoods, bringing the number of buildings demolished in the camp over the past few weeks to more than 20.
Over the past fourteen days, Tulkarm camp has witnessed the demolition of more than 50 buildings, leaving widespread destruction and creating large holes and gaps in the neighborhoods of Balawneh, al-Akasha, al-Nadi, al-Sawalmeh, al-Hammam, and al-Madaris, and their surroundings.
This escalation comes as part of the implementation of the enemy's plan announced last May, which calls for the demolition of 106 buildings in Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. These include 58 buildings in Tulkarm camp alone, containing more than 250 housing units and dozens of commercial establishments, and 48 buildings in Nur Shams, under the pretext of "opening roads and changing the geographical features of the two camps."
The enemy forces continue to impose a tight siege on the two camps and their surroundings, with infantry units and military vehicles deployed in alleys and entrances, preventing residents from reaching their homes, and opening fire on anyone who attempts to approach.
In the same context, the enemy forces sent additional military reinforcements to the city, amid intense military movements along Market Street, Thabet Thabet Hospital Street, Nablus Street, and the northern neighborhood. They deliberately obstructed the movement of Palestinian civilians and vehicles, blaring provocative horns and driving against traffic.
The Israeli enemy continues to transform Nablus Street into a military barracks by seizing residential buildings and homes in the northern neighborhood opposite Tulkarm refugee camp, some of which have been under its control for more than four months. They deployed bulldozers and heavy machinery in their vicinity.
At the same time, the Israeli enemy continues its aggression against the towns of Bal'a, Attil, Deir al-Ghusun, and Zeita. Meanwhile, the town of Anabta is witnessing intense military movements in its neighborhoods and surrounding areas. Israeli forces have seized several homes, turning them into military outposts after forcibly expelling their residents. They have also sealed off the entrances and streets of these towns with barricades, isolating them and exacerbating the suffering of the residents.
Local sources reported to Wafa that Israeli enemy forces raided and searched homes, vandalized their contents, and interrogated residents. They deployed infantry forces in the streets, preventing citizens from moving freely.
The sources also reported that Israeli enemy forces deliberately played songs over loudspeakers from inside one of the seized homes in the town of Attil, a provocative act that angered residents.
The ongoing aggression has so far resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. It has also resulted in dozens of injuries and arrests, as well as widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles.
According to the latest data, this escalation has displaced more than 5,000 families from the two camps, representing over 25,000 citizens. At least 400 homes have been completely destroyed, and 2,573 homes have been partially damaged. The entrances remain closed, transforming the two camps into almost lifeless areas.

Yemen :Houthis vow to strike US ships if America joins Israel's war on Iran

Yemen's Houthi rebels vowed on Saturday to resume attacks on US ships if American forces join Israel's war on Iran. "In the event that the Americans are involved in the attack and aggression against Iran alongside the Israeli enemy, the armed forces will target their ships and warships in the Red Sea," the Houthis said in a statement. Last week, Yemeni security sources told The National that the rebels are considering resuming strikes on US targets in the Middle East and intensifying attacks on Israel in support of Iran. US President Donald Trump said last month the Iran-backed Houthis 'capitulated' and that America would stop strikes on the rebels after they agreed to cease attacking ships in the Red Sea. The Houthis are part of the so-called Axis of Resistance, an Iran-led network that includes Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon and armed groups in Iraq, whose aim is to deter Israel from conducting military action and countering its influence in the region. Many of the groups have fought against Iran's enemies in their respective countries. The groups launched attacks on Israel as part of a support campaign for Hamas and the Palestinian people after the Gaza war broke out on October 7, 2023. But months of fighting with Israel, which holds clear military dominance, have eroded the operational capacity of the axis considerably. Hezbollah was once considered Iran's first line of defence against Israeli attacks, but strikes against the group last year killed its political and military leaders and largely destroyed its arsenal. Lebanese officials have urged Hezbollah not to respond to Israeli attacks on Iran. In Iraq, sources close to the government told The National this week that some of the most prominent militant groups have made it known that any US military intervention would trigger a response.2222222aq

President Al-Mashat: We will work to prevent any participation in aggression against Iran by all legitimate means

Sana'a - (Saba): His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, confirmed that he will "direct the Foreign Ministry to send a memorandum to notify the United Nations of our observations of preparations and readiness by some member states to participate with the Israeli entity in its aggression against Iran." President Al-Mashat said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), "We will work to prevent any participation in the aggression against Iran by all legitimate means." He called on all Arab, Islamic, and peace-loving countries to make the same decision instead of waiting for us to target one country after another. He added, "We have every right to our decision, humanitarian, religious, and moral, and it is supported by international and regional conventions and Yemeni laws." President Al-Mashat pointed out that when countries abandon their responsibility to protect international peace and security and become supporters and accomplices of the aggressor in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, the solution lies in a strong and unified stance from all. He said, "The fire will reach every country if we do not all take action and stop the scheme of the arrogant powers to violate it." He pointed out that "any hostile act targeting any Islamic country will be opposed and confronted by us. This is our position, and we have previously announced it." His Excellency the President reiterated that America will not achieve anything new if it participates with the Israeli enemy entity in its aggression against Iran, except for its further involvement, and everyone will see that. He added, "We will direct the Humanitarian Operations Center to take the necessary measures in accordance with Yemeni law," stressing that anyone who supports or participates in Israel's aggression must pay the price for their decision.
