BMW Motorrad's electric two-wheeler range consists of the CE 02 and the relatively bigger CE 04. The CE 02 stands out from the crowd because of its unique characteristics and compact size. To further improve the wow factor of the EV, the brand has unveiled a new version developed in collaboration with Deus Ex Machina. This is an Australian clothing brand that is now participating in customizing two-wheelers. It is to be noted that the brand also has its presence in the music and live events through Deus Records.
Called the BMW DE 02, the bike is being viewed as a "mobile DJ booth on two wheels". To put it together, Deus was tasked with the creation of a new leather saddle for the CE 02 and installed four compact Marshall speakers along with a foldable DJ turntable. Presently, BMW is touring the two-wheeler around France. Later, it will be on display at various BMW Motorrad dealerships, followed by its presence at the Deus Ex Machina boutiques across the country.

Toyota Land Cruiser LC 300 Hybrid revealed: Most powerful LC ever with 475 hp!

Japanese Automaker Toyota has revealed the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Hybrid in the Australian markets. The SUV features a new petrol-hybrid powertrain delivering a combined output of 457 hp, making it the most powerful Land Cruiser ever. The Japanese automaker has also refreshed the Land Cruiser 300 with subtle design enhancements and features. The new Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid is scheduled to launch in Australia in the first half of 2026, with other markets to follow. There is no confirmation on when TKM ( Toyota Kirloskar Motor ) will bring the LC 300 petrol hybrid to India. Talking about the new hybrid powertrain, the new Hybrid LC gets a newly developed 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine , coupled with an electric motor in a parallel hybrid setup. Together, this configuration delivers a combined output of 457 hp and 790 nm of torque. It comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and also gets 4x4. The same engine also does the job in the Lexus LX 700h luxury SUV. In addition to the new petrol-hybrid powertrain, the Land Cruiser 300 hybrid features a few subtle design revisions when compared to the regular model. It features a redesigned front bumper and a slightly enlarged air intake, along with HEV-specific badging on the boot lid. These cosmetic tweaks are limited to the hybrid model, as the GR Sport variant, despite sharing the same hybrid powertrain retains its original exterior design. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Ductless Air Conditioners Are Selling Like Crazy [See Why] Keep Cool Click Here Undo VinFast VF7, VF6 Review: Good for India or not?| TOI Auto Moving inside, the changes are minimal. The most notable update is a revised digital instrument cluster that includes hybrid-specific displays and graphics. Talking about the model available in India, it's available in two variants - ZX and GR-S, priced from Rs 2.31 crores (ex-showroom). The SUV is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine, generating 309 hp and 700 Nm of peak torque. This powerhouse is mated to a 10-speed automatic torque converter transmission, sending power to all four wheels via a full-time 4WD system. The new Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid houses a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine. The new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid doesn't reinvent the wheel but builds on the strengths of the existing model by adding more power and improved efficiency. It's a logical step for Toyota as it navigates stricter emissions norms globally, especially in markets like Australia, Japan, and potentially India. While the changes are largely mechanical and subtle in terms of design, the LC 400 reflects the evolving identity of the Land Cruiser as it enters the era of electrification, without compromising its core utility. Australia's teen social media ban: Age verification tech 'works," say trial organizers

Australia's plan to ban under-16s from social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat is gaining traction with organizers of a government-backed trial declaring that age-verification software 'can work'—even if it's not perfect. As reported by Reuters, the comprehensive trial, which involved over 1,000 Australian school students and hundreds of adults, concluded earlier this month. The Australian government is pushing ahead with a law, set to come into effect in December, that will require social media giants like Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Snapchat, and TikTok to implement "reasonable steps" to block under-16s from their platforms. Companies failing to comply could face fines of up to A$49.5 million ($32 million). Tony Allen, CEO of the UK-based Age Check Certification Scheme , the organization overseeing the Australian trial, stated on Friday that "Age assurance can be done in Australia privately, efficiently and effectively." He further noted that the trial found "no significant tech barriers" to rolling out a software-based scheme. However, Allen also cautioned that "no one-size-fits-all solution, and no solution that worked perfectly in all deployments" was identified. Concerns were also raised about some age-assurance software firms potentially "over-collecting" data in anticipation of future law enforcement or regulatory needs. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Cooling Tech Making Ductless ACs Go Mainstream [take a look] Keep Cool Click Here Undo As per the report, the initial findings reveal a positive outlook for the government announced ban. This comes despite ongoing skepticism from child protection advocates, tech industry groups, and even teenagers themselves, who have questioned the ban's enforceability due to potential workarounds like Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). The trial conducted explored various age verification methods using facial recognition, inferring age based on behaviour and parental controls. During the test some of the facial recognition tools were reported to be almost accurate. However, other reports from the trial highlighted issues with accuracy, such as misidentifying children as older or having higher error rates for certain demographics. The complete report from the Age Assurance Technology Trial is said to be delivered to the Australian government next month. These findings will then inform an industry consultation ahead of the December deadline for the ban's implementation. AI Masterclass for Students. Upskill Young Ones Today!– Join Now
