Ulitimate iPad rival is coming to the UK this month and it's not made by Samsung
Fancy a new tablet and love all things Android? There's a new iPad rival launching soon that offers some serious performance.
There's no question that the iPad still rules the tablet roost thanks to its super premium design, laptop-style power, long battery life and endless amounts of apps. It's a very tough product to beat but its Android rivals are catching up fast. Samsung is producing some seriously good Galaxy Tab devices and there are plenty of other tablets on the market from manufacturers such as HONOR, Amazon and Microsoft.
However, the latest update from the team at OnePlus might just be the gadget Android fans have been waiting for. It's called the OnePlus Pad 3, and it is powered by the supremely fast Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, which is one of the best processors on the planet.
This speedy chip is already tucked inside some of the best smartphones and now it's coming to this tablet as well.
Along with plenty of oomph, this device also features a 13.2-inch screen with a unique 7:5 aspect ratio, there's also 256GB of storage as standard, four speakers, over 15 hours of battery life, and it comes equipped with a cooling system which uses vapour chambers to stop things from getting too hot under the collar.
OnePlus is also boasting that despite being ludicrously thin, it's totally bend-resistant and, once the battery runs flat, it can be rapidly refilled thanks to 80W SUPERVOOC charging.
The OnePlus Pad 3 ships with OxygenOS 15, the latest version of OnePlus's operating system, which comes with all the latest features, functions and AI tools.
Just like Apple's iPad, you can also add a full keyboard case which turns the tablet into a fully working laptop. There's also a stylus available for scribbling on the screen and making notes.
''Our OnePlus Pad Series has established a strong reputation for delivering some of the most powerful and productivity-focused tablets on the market - and the launch of the OnePlus Pad 3 is the next big step of this journey,'' said Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer, OnePlus Europe. ''Combining blazing fast hardware, a vibrant display, ultra-portability, AI enhanced productivity features and booming speakers for immersive gaming and movies, the OnePlus Pad 3 redefines the Android tablet industry in 2025.''
So, how much is it going to cost you?
The OnePlus Pad 3 pre-orders are available now with it arriving in stores from 19 June.
It is available in Storm Blue and is available in two versions, priced as follows
OnePlus Pad 3 12GB + 256GB: £529
OnePlus Pad 3 16GB + 256GB: £599
Those pre-ordering can get £70 off and claim a free Smart Keyboard or Stylo 2 pen.

Urgent warning over new mobile attack that allows hackers to see INSIDE your banking app and hijack your accounts
A new malware allows criminals to hack into your device HACK ATTACK Urgent warning over new mobile attack that allows hackers to see INSIDE your banking app and hijack your accounts Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AN URGENT warning has been issued over a new mobile attack that allows hackers to hijack your bank accounts. A dangerous new version of malware, or malicious software, allows criminals to see inside your banking apps and steal your money. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 A new version malware allows criminals to hack into your banking apps Credit: Getty The new Android "Godfather" malware creates an isolated virtual environment on mobile devices, according to BleepingComputer. Hackers can then steal your account data and transactions from legitimate banking apps. Malicious apps are executed inside the controlled virtual environment enabling real-time spying, credential theft and transaction manipulation. This can all happen when you're none the wiser as it maintains perfect visual deception. The tactic is similar to the FjordPhantom malware seen in 2023 but experts warn that the Godfather is much broader in scope. It targets over 500 banking, cryptocurrency and e-commerce apps worldwide. Zimperium, a world leader in mobile security, say that the level of deception is very high. The user is able to see the real app but the Android protections don't pick up the malicious operation underway. Once active on the device, the malware checks for installed target apps and places them inside its virtual environment. The malware tricks Android into thinking that a legitimate app is being run while actually intercepting and controlling it. A victim will launch their banking app and see the real app interface but all of their sensitive data can easily be hijacked. The Godfather malware can then record account credentials, passwords, PINS and capture responses from your bank. This is because the malware tricks the victim by displaying a fake lock screen to trick them into entering their passwords and PIN numbers. Once criminals have harvested that data, they can then trigger payments inside the real banking app. Huge Global Data Breach: 16 Billion Accounts at Risk The victim might see a fake "update" screen or a black screen to evade suspicion. The Godfather malware was first discovered in March 2021 and has seen a significant evolution. In December 2022, analysts found that it could target over 400 apps over 16 countries. Although the campaign analysts spotted only targets a dozen Turkish banking apps, Godfather operators could opt to target over 500 apps worldwide. To protect yourself it's advised that you only download apps from Google Play or from app publishers you trust. Android users should also ensure that Play Protect is active and pay attention to the requested permissions.

However, bear in mind that the claim window shuts on June 24, reports the Express. To make a claim, shoppers must do so within 30 days and provide proof of purchase, the device's IMEI, and the serial number. Once the claim is processed, Samsung will deposit £300 directly into your bank account. Simple, isn't it? Grab £300 cash in the pocket thanks to Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra deal £1249 £30/a month Sky GET DEAL Product Description Sky allows customers to pay for the tablet at £30 a month over a 48-month contract. This means tablet enthusiasts could use the Samsung cashback to cover the device's cost for several months. When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, it's the pinnacle of Samsung's tablet offerings. It boasts a speedy MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, an included S Pen stylus and a whopping 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 120Hz display. Samsung is offering £100 cashback on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, meaning this Amazon purchase will cost £399. Samsung is also handing out £200 cashback on the Galaxy S25 Ultra phone from Samsung, including £200 trade-in credit on old phones. The Daily Express put the Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra model through its paces in a review, and it certainly impressed us. As David Snelling said: "Is the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra a brilliant tablet? 100% yes. "This device is incredibly powerful, brimming with smart features, exudes a premium feel, and delivers performance that won't falter under pressure. The AMOLED screen is simply breathtaking, and the inclusion of the S Pen stylus in the box - something Apple charges over £100 for - is a bonus. "However, no matter how impressive it is, the 14.6-inch panel is just too large for my liking, especially when travelling. This is crucial as, like most people, this is when I use my tablet the most. "Of course, some will adore the colossal display, and if you genuinely require a super-sized screen, then this is a robust, albeit pricey, option. It ticks all the right boxes and you really won't be disappointed with your purchase."
