King Salman Academy Collaborates with Indiana University on Teaching Arabic

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language has begun its specialized academic program on teaching the Arabic language in cooperation with Indiana University in the US.
As part of the second phase of the Arabic Language Teacher Training Project for Non-Native Speakers, the program seeks to develop teachers' skills, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Set to run until April 8, the program will explore new advanced teaching techniques.
The Academy's Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, stated that the academy aims to boost the quality of teaching and expand the use of linguistic proficiency tests, such as the Academic Hamza Test.
Al-Washmi also noted that the current cooperation with Indiana University stands as a testament to the Academy's commitment to exchanging academic expertise.
Importantly, this collaboration will offer the academy an exclusive opportunity to leverage from the best practices in teaching the Arabic language at the international level.
The program features an introductory course on language tests and a specialized course on training Arabic teachers for non-native speakers.
Through modern teaching strategies, the program focuses on developing teachers' professional performance.
This remarkable milestone follows successful programs in Uzbekistan, Indonesia, China, India, France, Brazil, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Saudi Gazette Report MAKKAH — The Supreme Hajj Committee has extended its gratitude to more than 420,000 men and women, who contributed to serving pilgrims during the 1446 AH Hajj season by issuing digital certificates of appreciation through the Tawakkalna app. Secretary General of the Supreme Hajj Committee Khalid Al-Saykhan said that a total of 420,070 participants in the Hajj mission were recognized through the Tasreeh platform, developed by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and supervised by the committee's secretariat. Al-Saykhan emphasized that the initiative reflects the success of the integrated system overseen by the Supreme Hajj Committee and highlights the importance of institutional cooperation during the Hajj season. He noted that this is the first initiative of its kind, using digital tools to acknowledge the dedication of Hajj workers. The electronic certificates serve as a symbolic gesture, reinforcing a sense of pride and appreciation among those who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment of the pilgrims.

Saudi Gazette report MINA — Supervisor-General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi (Adahi) Saad Al-Wabel said that the project aims to process 950,000 heads of sacrificial animals within 84 hours to serve pilgrims so as to ensure the smooth and seamless performance of the ritual. He said that the project carried out 287,067 sacrifices on Eid Al-Adha (Dhu Al-Hijjah 10) and sold over 811,486 heads of livestock. He noted that these figures underscore the significant efforts made by the project's operating entities to facilitate Hajj services and ensure the quality and safety of sacrifices at every stage. Additionally, 19,931 sacrifices were distributed to eligible recipients, fulfilling the humanitarian and social objectives of this important ritual. Al-Wabel said that the operations include the operation of seven complexes, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to the guests of God. He noted the readiness of 25,000 human cadres in various administrative, technical, medical, and engineering specialties, working within a precise and coordinated system to ensure smooth operations, while ensuring the pilgrims' comfort and implementing the best environmental practices. According to Al-Wabel, the project will continue throughout the Days of Tashreeq, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure the timely completion of sacrifices and their proper distribution to eligible recipients. This effort reflects the principle of social solidarity and aims to ensure distributions are conducted efficiently. He noted that the project operates through an integrated system designed to ensure smooth procedures and swift execution, enhancing pilgrims' satisfaction and facilitating the performance of their rituals.
