Martin Paterson's spell at Swansea City did not last as long as he would have liked, but Michael Duff's former assistant has just landed his second managerial role since leaving Wales.Paterson, 38, moved to Wales to work alongside Duff in the summer of 2023 having previously been on his staff at Barnsley.But the ex-Northern Ireland striker left Swansea alongside Duff less than six months later.He resurfaced later that season as boss at Burton Albion, helping them remain in League One, and has now agreed to take over at League Two Notts County.

Hudlin a free agent after Huddersfield exit
Huddersfield Town have confirmed the departure of Kyle Hudlin by mutual towering 6ft 9in forward spent last season on loan at Newport County, but is now a free agent. Crawley winger Forster agrees new one-year deal
Crawley Town winger Harry Forster has signed a new one-year contract with the League Two 25-year-old had been in talks over a new deal following Crawley's relegation from League One last month. Having moved to the club in the summer of 2023 from Bromley for an undisclosed fee, Forster has gone on to score seven goals in 62 appearances. He missed the final month of last season after suffering an injury. "I am so happy to have signed a new deal here," Forster told the club website. "When I spoke to Scott (Lindsay, Crawley manager) over the summer, it was so clear to see what his plans were and also what the owner's plans were for the club this season, so I was really happy to sign back up."

Tranmere sign ex-Everton midfielder Whitaker
