In Solomyanskyi district, a fire broke out on the 11th floor of a 16-story residential building.
Emergency services evacuated three people from the apartment, and rescue operations were ongoing.
Another fire broke out in a metal warehouse.
In northern Chernihiv region, a Shahed drone exploded near an apartment building, shattering windows and doors, according to regional military administration chief Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
He added that explosions from ballistic missiles were also recorded on the outskirts of the city.
The nighttime attack came hours after US President Donald Trump said it might be better to let Ukraine and Russia fight for a while.
The President has been so far unsuccessful on getting the two countries to agree to peace - with Moscow not moving on its demands.
Trump spoke as he met with Germany's new chancellor, Friedrich Merz, who appealed to him as the key person in the world who could halt the bloodshed by pressuring Putin.
The American has also hailed Ukraine's daring Operation Spiderweb attack as "strong and badass".
The US president heaped praise on Volodymyr Zelensky for his calculated drone assault attack - but warned it has only made Vlad crazier.
Russia's ambassador to the UK 'blames Britain' for Ukraine's daring drone attack & warns of 'WWIII risk'
The Kremlin dictator held a 75 minute phone call with Trump on Wednesday as they discussed rising tensions in Ukraine.
Top of the agenda was reportedly the 117 drone blitz over the weekend which left four of Russia's key airbases up in flames.
The daring Operation Spiderweb saw a fired up Ukraine wreck 41 Russian planes across the strategic airfields.
Putin's doomsday bomber fleet was crippled with a third of his most prized aircraft lying in smouldering wrecks.

The Chinese are opening London's priciest hotel – with a US twist
Donald Trump presents himself as the great dealmaker, a man who gets the best properties at the best locations for the best price, especially when it comes to opening hotels, like his Washington hotel. Radha Arora is about to put one over on him — in his own embassy. 'This is the best hotel, with the best address, in the No 1 city on the planet,' the president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts said last week as he walked into the former US embassy on Grosvenor Square in London's Mayfair — soon to be the Chancery Rosewood hotel. The hotel, which will open in August, is the most expensive to be built in London: the £1 billion budget works out at £7 million for each of the 144 suites, which come with butler service. The 'cheapest' suite is £1,500 a night, and the two penthouse suites — named after British monarchs so loved by Trump, Elizabeth and Charles — will go for about £60,000 a night. Trump can only dream of such regal connections and rates.

Voice of America: Hundreds of reporters fired as Trump guts agency
Hundreds of journalists for Voice of America (VOA) - most of its remaining staff - have been fired by President Donald Trump's administration, effectively shutting down the US-funded news Trump administration, which has long accused VOA of left-wing bias, said the layoffs were because the agency was "riddled with dysfunction, bias and waste".Steve Herman, VOA's chief national correspondent, called the dismantling of the outlet, which was set up during World War Two to counter Nazi propaganda, a "historic act of self-sabotage".Among those axed were Persian-language reporters who had been on administrative leave, but were called back to work last week after Israel attacked Iran. According to the Associated Press news agency, the Persian reporters had left the office on Friday for a cigarette break, and were not allowed to re-enter the building after the termination notices went out."Today, we took decisive action to effectuate President Trump's agenda to shrink the out-of-control federal bureaucracy," Kari Lake, whom the president appointed to run VOA, said in a statement on Friday announcing the layoffs of 639 total, more than 85% of the agency's employees - about 1,400 staff - have lost their jobs since March. She noted that 50 employees would remain employed across VOA, the Office of Cuba Broadcasting, and VOA's parent company, the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM).A statement issued by three VOA journalists who have been suing to stop the elimination of the network said about the latest firings: "It spells the death of 83 years of independent journalism that upholds US ideals of democracy and freedom around the world."The move had been expected since March when Trump ordered VOA, as well as USAGM, which oversees VOA and funds outlets such as Radio Free Europe and Radio Free Asia, to be "eliminated to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law".The agencies have won acclaim and international recognition for their reporting in places where press freedom is severely curtailed or non-existent, from China and Cambodia to Russia and North Dan Robinson, a former VOA news correspondent, wrote in an op-ed last year that the outlet had become a "hubris-filled rogue operation often reflecting a leftist bias aligned with partisan national media".Trump's criticisms of VOA come as part of his broader attacks against the US media, which studies suggest American news consumers view as highly president has also urged his fellow Republicans to remove federal funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

Suspected suicide bomber kills 12 in Nigeria's Borno state
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria, June 21 (Reuters) - A suspected female suicide bomber killed at least 12 people and injured several others at a fish market on Friday night in Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, police said on Saturday. Borno state police spokesperson Nahum Kenneth Daso said in a statement that a woman with an improvised explosive device strapped to her body, infiltrated a crowd at the fish market before detonating it among civilians. Daso said those injured were taken to hospital. Local residents said at least 30 people were injured. Borno state is the heartland of an insurgency - primarily driven by the Islamist armed group Boko Haram - that has been raging for the past 16 years, killing thousands and displacing at least 2 million people, according to aid agencies.
