Did Jeff Bezos Close Fifth Avenue To Move His Furniture? Watch What Happened
Last Updated:
A user shared the video of the activities on social media, quipping over Bezos's extravagant shifting of furniture.
A portion of the iconic Fifth Avenue in Manhattan appears to have been closed to ensure furniture delivery to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' penthouse. Dramatic footage of a big crane hoisting a wrapped item to the top floor of a building at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 26th Street is going viral. The location was lined with caution tape, machinery, barricades, and moving company trucks.
Accompanying the machinery were dozens of workers, who milled about and directed the traffic, while several passersby gathered to watch as the items topped the 24-story 212 Fifth Avenue. According to the New York Post, Bezos owns five apartments on the top four floors, worth $119 million. Raffi Arslanian, the owner of luxury candle company Thompson Ferrier, shared the video on social media and quipped, 'You want to see how Jeff Bezos delivers his furniture? Let me show you. I think we all can relate to this. Now back to reality, where, when we move, we get a U-Haul and we do it ourselves, or at best, we get a company to do it — but we don't close the street."

Arslanian's remarks over the billionaire's extravagant shifting and moving left the internet discussion, with many comparing it to an average person's experience. A user reshared the video on X and added, 'Jeff Bezos had furniture delivered to his NYC penthouse by crane, shutting down part of Fifth Avenue. The items were hoisted up to the 24th floor. It's said this kind of service costs over $20,000 a day, plus permits for ordinary things".
Going by the developments, it appears that the billionaire is making preparations for his upcoming wedding. Jeff Bezos is set to get married to his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, in Venice, Italy, in June this year. The couple dropped a major hint at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2025, with reports now suggesting that the wedding invites have started going out.

Blended finance in India: Scaling up needs regulatory clarity and capital
The UN Financing for Development conference offers a pivotal platform to reimagine blended finance for the decade ahead Kartikeya N Desai Listen to This Article As the world's finance ministers, business leaders, fund managers, and foundations convene in Spain for the fourth UN Conference on Financing for Development (FFD), a harsh reality looms large: We are alarmingly off-track, to the tune of $4 trillion, to meet the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Official development assistance (ODA) has been stagnant, and there have been body blows like the reduction by about 80 per cent of the American ODA budget, and the recent withdrawal by the Trump administration from the FFD4 process itself. In this environment, mobilising private capital at scale is essential to achieve the SDGs. This
