Libya to resume football league matches without spectators

The Ministry of Interior has announced that matches in the hexagonal round of the Libyan Premier League will resume — but behind closed doors — due to ongoing security concerns in Tripoli.
Interior Minister Emad Al-Trabelsi, serving under the Government of National Unity, issued the decision in response to recent tensions in the capital, which officials say have disrupted public order and raised fears of unrest at large gatherings.
The Ministry said the measure was taken after consultation with Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, and aims to prevent any violations that could threaten public or private property.
'This decision reflects a commitment to public safety and to ensuring that sporting events can take place in a secure and controlled environment,' the Ministry said in a statement.
