A zebra, that escaped from its owner in Christiana, Tennessee, was captured on Sunday and airlifted to safety by the local sheriff's office. The animal, named Ed, had been reported missing just a day after he was acquired by its owners in Rutherford County. They have since been reunited.

Motorcyclist critically injured after collision with MNPD officer on Lebanon Pike
A motorcyclist has been hospitalized following a collision with a MNPD vehicle. According to a police report, Mt. Juliet resident Evan Davis was traveling on Lebanon Pike near Tyler Drive, around 12 a.m. on June 21, when Officer Conner Roell collided with him after making a U-turn. Roell was travelling to a Walmart parking lot with emergency equipment where a vehicle was reportedly attempting to hit pedestrians. He expressed that he saw what he believed was the suspect traveling west on Lebanon Pike and initiated a U-turn when he collided with Davis on the driver's side of the police SUV. Davis is currently hospitalized with critical injuries at Skyline Medical Center. The collision remains under investigation. A sheriff's deputy arrived at the crash in the area of Marine City Highway and King Road around 11:30 p.m. Investigators say the man, from Cotterville Township, Michigan, was standing on King Road when he was hit by an 18-year-old man driving a Ford F-150, the sheriff's office said. The Cotterville Township man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Officials say the driver is cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing. According to the sheriff's office, alcohol and drugs don't appear to be factors in the crash.
