Simaran Kaur breaks down on screen in a one-take emotional scene for Jamai No. 1

Time of India06-06-2025

Popular drama Jamai No. 1 continues to engage viewers with its high-voltage storylines and emotionally charged moments. In the latest twist, the narrative takes a dramatic turn as Neel (played by Abhishek Malik) is wrongfully arrested in a shocking molestation case filed by Sayli (Sonal Vengurlekar).
Amid the chaos,
Simaran Kaur
, who portrays Neel's devoted wife Riddhi, delivers a powerful, heart-wrenching performance as she fights to prove her husband's innocence and uncover the truth.
What made this particular scene truly stand out was the emotional realism Simaran brought to it. To capture the helplessness, anger, and desperation of a woman standing up for her loved one, Simaran tapped deep into her emotional reservoir.
The intense sequence was shot in a single take—a rare feat, especially for a scene that demanded such vulnerability and emotional depth. Known for her methodical approach to acting, Simaran took time to prepare in solitude, locking herself in her room before the shot to fully absorb her character's emotional turmoil.
Simaran said, 'The moment I read the script, I knew it was going to be a challenging yet special scene.
I didn't want to 'act' it—I wanted to feel every bit of what the character was going through. It wasn't easy. I locked myself in my room before the shot, read my script, stayed quiet, and allowed myself to truly absorb the gravity of the situation. I imagined what it would be like to see someone you love being accused of something so devastating—and to feel completely powerless.
The emotional rush just took over, and I surrendered completely to the scene.
I'm glad the team captured it in one take. As an actor, these are the moments that test your limits, but also leave you deeply fulfilled.'
Simaran's raw and moving portrayal adds yet another layer of authenticity to Jamai No. 1, making it a must-watch for viewers. In the upcoming episodes, it will be interesting to see how Riddhi fights back to clear Neel's name. Will she succeed in uncovering the truth, or will Sayli and Kanchan (Papia Sengupta) manage to drive a wedge between the couple?

Lizzo Reveals Truth About Using Ozempic on Weight Loss Journey After Initially Denying it: 'Don't Like to Tell...'

Pop star Lizzo confirmed that she tried Ozempic and other GLP-1 weight loss drugs, months after denying speculation about her use of the medications. In a new episode of Trisha Paytas' Just Trish podcast released Thursday, June 19, the About Damn Time singer admitted she 'tried everything' to lose weight, including weight loss injections. 'It's not easy,' said Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson. 'Ozempic works because you eat less food. That's it. It makes you feel full, so if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same s--t.' The singer shared that while experimenting with trendy weight loss medications like Ozempic, she ultimately decided to focus on managing her calorie intake. 'It's just the science for me, calories in versus calories out,' she said. During the conversation, she also opened up about changing her diet. The four-time Grammy Award winner revealed that she stopped being vegan after nearly a decade and switched to eating meat and whole foods like beef, chicken, and fish. 'When I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats, I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice, and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full,' she shared. 'But really, I was consuming like 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day.' Her shift began during a trip to Japan, where she felt a noticeable difference in how her body responded to animal-based foods. Lizzo said that she heard the Japanese diet was the healthiest in the world. Lizzo said, 'My body was so happy. My body was like, 'More, more please.' And I was like, 'OK, this is what my body likes.'' Here's why Lizzo hesitated to share her weight loss methods Lizzo stated that she avoids sharing too many details about her personal weight loss methods because she doesn't want others to follow her approach, given that it might not work for them as every body is different. While she didn't mention which GLP-1 brand she used or when she tried it, medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro have become increasingly popular for weight loss. Originally designed to treat type 2 diabetes, these drugs are now widely used to help people lose weight. The revelation came just months after Lizzo responded to Ozempic rumors on Instagram. In a September 2024 post, she mentioned receiving Ozempic allegations after spending five months focused on weight training and maintaining a calorie deficit. Then, in an April TikTok livestream, she shared that she had lost 16% of her body fat simply by cutting out two to three Starbucks drinks a day and sticking to a calorie deficit.

Zodiac signs that struggle to make the first move

A Cancer and Virgo share a hidden longing, observing someone from afar in a sunlit town square. Their expressions reveal a wistful, shared secret. In emotional or romantic situations, some zodiac signs would rather observe in silence than take the initiative. Even when they truly want to, people with these symptoms frequently struggle to take the first step because of shyness, rejection anxiety, or just overanalyzing. Cancer Cancer tends to protect their heart, but they feel deeply. Making the first move can feel risky because they need emotional safety before opening up. They would rather wait for the other person to show interest or give them subtle cues. Virgo Virgos tend to overthink things. They consider every scenario before approaching someone, even if they like them. They often miss opportunities as a result of this hesitation, but it's because they want everything to go perfectly. Pisces Although Pisces is romantic and creative, they are frequently bashful when acting in real life. They have connections in their dreams, but they are hesitant to take action for fear of ruining something special. They typically hold off on moving forward until they see a clear sign. Capricorn Capricorn likes to be cautious. Making the first move doesn't always fit into their prearranged strategy because they are cautious in both life and love. They rarely express their interest directly, though they may demonstrate it by their actions. Although these zodiac signs may have strong emotions, it takes courage to express them at first, and they may not always be prepared to do so. But if you give them time and trust, they're among the most sincere people you'll ever meet.
