Veeam Software has released its first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, coinciding with Earth Day's 55th anniversary. This report showcases the company's commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and transparency.
At VeeamON, CEO Anand Eswaran emphasized the company's dedication to improving the workplace and positively impacting the world. He highlighted that Veeam's responsibility extends beyond compliance and includes efforts to protect the planet, support its people, and contribute to the communities it serves.
The report highlights several key environmental initiatives, including e-waste recycling. In 2023-2024, Veeam recycled 1,203 laptops, preventing 3,402 pounds of e-waste. Additionally, eight Veeam offices hold LEED certifications, reflecting the company's commitment to green building practices. Veeam also measured and reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in 2024. Moving forward, Veeam plans to calculate Scope 3 emissions and collaborate with suppliers to further reduce their environmental impact by 2026.
On the social front, Veeam employees volunteered 2,793 hours in 2024 to support various causes, including animal shelters and wildfire relief efforts. Employee satisfaction remains high, with 84% rating Veeam as a great place to work. The company also launched EmpowerHer, offering free certification training to women in tech, and partnered with organizations like Women in Tech and Out & Equal. Veeam provides competitive benefits, including parental leave, 401(k) matching, and unlimited PTO.
In terms of governance, Veeam ensures its ESG strategy is overseen by its Compliance Department, which reports to the Board of Directors. The company achieved a 100% completion rate for cybersecurity training and has obtained certifications such as ISO 27701 and ISO 27017. Veeam also introduced a Generative AI Policy to strengthen its commitment to data privacy and ethical practices.

This is the company's fourth report and is in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), taking into account national and international sustainability frameworks. The report outlines KIPCO's achievements and progress in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas for the year 2024. The report also reflects an expansion in the scope of environmental disclosure to include both direct and indirect emission sources, thereby reinforcing transparency and promoting a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impact of the Group's activities. Additionally, the report highlights the stability of resource consumption indicators across the company's operations, with relatively low rates of electricity, water and paper consumption. This demonstrates operational efficiency and confirms the limited direct environmental impact of the company's activities. The report also underscores various social initiatives, including the ENBAT program, which prepares fresh graduates for the labor market, and working with Loyac, which provided young women the opportunity to participate in a leadership program in the UK. In the area of empowerment, the report notes a female representation rate of 24.2% in senior management positions, 36.5% within the total workforce, and 20% in Board of Directors membership. CI Capital's subsidiary launches Egypt's 1st sustainable equity fund Misr Green
Arab Finance: CI Capital Asset Management, a subsidiary of CI Capital Holding, has launched Egypt's first open-ended sustainable equity fund, Misr Green – Sustainability (ESG) Fund, as per an emailed press release. The fund, which will be the first sustainable fund offered on Egyptian banking platforms, opens for subscription on Wednesday, June 18 th, through CI Capital Securities Brokerage as the receiving entity. Meanwhile, the purchases and redemptions will be implemented through Banque Misr. It aims to invest in the 30 best-performing listed companies on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) across a diversified range of sectors, including financial services, industrials, healthcare, consumer goods, and real estate. The fund targets sustainable companies, achieving a return that reflects the index's performance with a correlation coefficient of at least 90%, taking into account tracking error. The Misr Green – Sustainability (ESG) Fund is an open-ended ESG index tracker fund that invests in the 30 best-performing listed companies on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), selected for their leadership in environmental, social responsibility, and governance (ESG) standards across a diversified range of sectors.
