The football analytics outlet broke down one item each NFL team still needs to "think about" this offseason. For Buffalo, it relates to linebacker Matt Milano. Milano has undoubtedly been one of the best players at his position in football during his career but the issue that has popped up for him is his health. Because of that, Milano and the Bills reworked his contract this offseason and he's in the final year of his deal in 2025. What PFF thinks the team needs to keep in mind moving forward is the status of Milano's future... but none of that can be determined until next season begins. PFF's breakdown on Milano can be found below: Milano is entering the final year of his contract, though there are two void years attached that the Bills could convert if he wants to keep playing. But if this is his last year in Buffalo, how does the team feel about the rest of the linebacker group? Terrel Bernard struggled last season on his way to a 48.2 PFF overall grade, ranking 83rd among 90 linebackers, but the Bills signed him to a four-year extension this offseason, so he's not going anywhere. Dorian Williams wasn't much better (58.2) and is now halfway through his rookie deal. Could Buffalo look to make a big splash at linebacker in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Former Ohio State offensive lineman Kirk Barton charged after fatal crash
Former Ohio State offensive lineman Kirk Barton has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide following a fatal crash early Saturday in Dublin, Ohio. According to the City of Dublin, Barton, 40, is suspected of driving a Ford F150 Raptor pickup track "at a high rate of speed" before entering Historic Dublin, where he crashed into a Lexus on West Bridge Street around 3 a.m. Advertisement The driver of the Lexus, 24-year-old Ethan Perry, died on the scene, according to the city. Barton sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was eventually released from Riverside Methodist Hospital into Dublin Police custody, the city said. Barton was then moved to Franklin County Jail. NBC4 reported Saturday that Barton was charged with a second-degree felony count of aggravated vehicular homicide while operating a vehicle under the influence, according to Franklin County court records, which also show Barton has been charged with multiple traffic-related offenses in the past. Barton is scheduled for an arraignment Monday at 9 a.m., per NBC4. Advertisement Once a 2008 seventh-round NFL Draft pick of the Chicago Bears, Barton bounced around the league during his three-year pro career. In addition to the Bears, he also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. Barton played at Ohio State from 2003-07. He earned first-team All-American honors at right tackle in 2007. That season, the Buckeyes went 11-2 and finished No. 5 in the AP Poll. Ohio State was ranked the No. 1 team in the country before losing the BCS Championship to LSU 38-24.

The Baltimore Ravens had a clear focus on defense in this year's draft, and addressed a subpar secondary from last season with their first-round pick. Advertisement General manager Eric DeCosta spent the No. 27 overall pick on Georgia safety Malaki Starks, and the selection was called "the best defensive fit of the first round" by ESPN. DeCosta said Starks was one of the best Combine interview they had and considered the Georgia defender the best safety in the draft. Starks has been named to All-Rookie Team by Gennaro Filice. "Starks is represented by Nicole Lynn, but the trailblazing agent has a serious competitor when it comes to the dogged promotion of her client: ME! Seeing how my infatuation with the safety approached stalker levels during this draft cycle, his placement here was guaranteed the moment I was handed this assignment," Filice wrote. Advertisement "The fit in Baltimore is perfect, as Starks' center field chops will allow Kyle Hamilton to return to the overhang role that made him a first-team All-Pro in 2023. And Malaki has already endeared himself to his head coach." Ravens coach John Harbaugh has been impressed with Starks since Day 1. 'He was organizing walk-throughs at the hotel for the rookies pretty much the whole camp -- I think that's pretty cool,' Harbaugh said last week. 'He's always on point.' It's likely that Starks can be a Week 1 starter too. The Ravens kept free agent Ar'Darius Washington, who started the final 12 games of the season including the playoffs at safety. But he's struggled to stay healthy and has played more than three games just one time in four seasons.
