Dakota Johnson reveals dating ‘non-negotiable' after alleged split with Coldplay singer Chris Martin
Rumours have been swirling lately about Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin calling it quits after eight years together. While the Coldplay frontman kept it classy — even giving Dakota's latest film Materialists a sweet shoutout during a Las Vegas show — Dakota's own words hint she might not be feeling quite as warm about her ex. At the end of his band's Music of the Spheres World Tour concert, Chris gave a subtle nod to Dakota, saying, 'Thank you so much, everybody. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to each other. Don't forget to see Materialists. We love you.'
But Dakota, chatting with her co-star Chris Evans on the Today show with Craig Melvin, seemed to set a higher bar when it comes to dating. When asked about their one non-negotiable in a partner, Chris Evans was quick to say, 'Must love dogs. Gotta love dogs. If you're not a dog person, what are we doing?' — clearly a nod to his famously adored pup, Dodger. Then Dakota jumped in with her own non-negotiable, saying: 'Like, not an a–hole?' The interviewer couldn't help but react, and Chris applauded, 'That's concise. There it is. Nail on the head.'
Dakota also got candid about what drew her to her role in Materialists, a rom-com about love, heartbreak, and all the messy, confusing bits in between. 'The complexities of all of the characters. The paradox. Everyone being confused about what the f–k they're supposed to do with their hearts and what's the right move. I found that very honest, and I found it just so relatable,' she said.
She also dropped some wisdom on how society views relationships, saying, 'For a long time, we've all been so quick to judge relationships or how they should happen, how they should exist in the world, when people should get married, divorce is bad. All these things that actually, if you think about it, why is divorce bad? Why do people have to get married or at a certain age or only once? Why? It doesn't matter.'
Materialists is set to hit screens soon, starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal. The film dives into the world of a NYC matchmaker who's caught between the perfect match and her imperfect ex. It hits theatres on June 13.

Lauren Gottlieb just set the bar for bridal fashion with her Tuscan wedding look
Lauren Gottlieb and Tobias Jones celebrated their marriage in a dreamy Tuscan ceremony. Lauren wore a romantic off-the-shoulder mermaid gown with delicate lace and beadwork. The celebration included a live singer, a champagne tower, and fireworks set to Coldplay, creating a heartfelt and stylish event that balanced glamour and ease. If you've ever daydreamed about getting married under the Tuscan sun, Lauren Gottlieb just brought that fantasy to life -flawlessly. The dancer and actor tied the knot with longtime partner Tobias Jones in a stunning, intimate ceremony in Italy, and let's just say, every detail felt like a scene from a romance film. But of course, all eyes were on the bride and Lauren's look did not disappoint. Lauren walked down the aisle in a dreamy off-the-shoulder gown that managed to be both romantic and modern. The dress featured a deep neckline and a perfectly fitted mermaid silhouette that showed off her shape without being over the top. The real magic, though, was in the details: lace embroidery, delicate beadwork, subtle sequins, and floral threadwork that added texture and shimmer in all the right places. A soft tulle overlay and a gentle train gave the whole look that floaty, princess-like touch we all secretly love. She kept the rest of her look clean and elegant. Lauren wore white pumps, silver rings on both hands, and a pair of simple drop earrings that added just a bit of sparkle. Her bouquet? Classic white roses, timeless and fresh. Her hair was styled in a relaxed half-up, half-down 'do, parted in the center and topped with a sheer tulle veil that flowed behind her. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo As for makeup, she nailed the glowing bridal look: flushed cheeks, rosy-pink lips, long lashes, and that soft, dewy finish that photographs like a dream. Tobias, who works as a director and video creator, kept it sharp in a black tuxedo with a white shirt, black bow tie, and a single corsage on his lapel. Simple, classic, and totally in sync with Lauren's effortlessly elegant vibe. Though the setting was incredibly chic, the celebration itself felt heartfelt and relaxed. The couple kept it small and meaningful with close family and friends. There was a live singer serenading Lauren as she walked down the aisle, a very photogenic champagne tower, and the evening ended with fireworks set to Coldplay's 'A Sky Full of Stars.' (Yes, really. We're emotional.) Lauren's wedding style was the perfect balance of glamour and ease, classic but not boring, romantic without being overdone. She looked confident, radiant, and completely herself.
