ROP cracks down on fake traffic fine discount scheme
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has denied the circulating announcement about a dedicated website for paying traffic violations, which was offering a 40 per cent discount.
ROP said in a statement: "The Royal Oman Police (ROP) notes that the circulating advertisement claiming a website for paying traffic violations with a 40 per cent discount is incorrect."
The police emphasise that such messages are circulated for the purpose of engaging in electronic fraud. Everyone should avoid interacting with any unofficial links or websites, verify the accuracy of information through official police channels, and report any suspicious messages or links.

ROP arrests three for trafficking, 47 women for immoral acts
Muscat: Three people, including an Omani citizen and two Egyptian nationals, have been arrested on charges of human trafficking in Muscat. The operation was carried out by the Muscat Governorate Police Command in cooperation with the Special Taskforce Police Command. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) also arrested 47 women of various nationalities for engaging in acts contrary to public morals and decency. The group comprised 21 Egyptian nationals, 10 Iranians, eight Pakistanis, four Thais, two Uzbeks and two Moroccans. The ROP said legal action is being taken against all those involved, and investigations are continuing.

Expats arrested for human trafficking and public morals violations in Muscat
Muscat : The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested three foreigners for human trafficking in Muscat Governorate. ROP said in a statement :"Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Taskforce Police Command, arrested three individuals, including a citizen and two Egyptian nationals, on charges of human trafficking." Meanwhile, the ROP arrested 21 Egyptian women, ten Iranian women, eight Pakistani women, four Thai women, two Uzbek women, and two Moroccan women were arrested for engaging in acts contrary to public morals and decency. Legal procedures are being completed.
