A thrifty man has revealed a simple trick that could help you jet off to your dream holiday destination without breaking the bank.
We all know the feeling of needing a break, whether it's from work stress, personal issues, or just a packed social calendar. And with summer on the horizon, many of us are starting to plan our holidays. But with living costs skyrocketing, a lavish getaway might seem like an impossible dream for most.
However, one money-savvy man has shared his secret to visiting your dream destination without emptying your savings. Bradley, who goes by 'Bradley On A Budget' on TikTok and boasts a following of one million, recently saved £500 on a flight and has shared his method.
The frugal 32-year-old decided to completely change his lifestyle after finding himself in debt to the tune of £104,150. Bradley manages to save thousands by eating the same meal every day - using supermarket own-brand products - and only owns one plate. He makes sure all his appliances are unplugged when he leaves the house and refuses to turn on the heating, no matter how cold it gets.
He also ensures he is frugal when it comes to trips and treats.
Bradley, the savvy traveller known as "Bradley On A Budget", was flabbergasted at the prospect of paying $1,070 [£801.38] for a direct flight from Connecticut to Wyoming that typically takes seven hours. He shared his thriftiness by saying: "Being Bradley On A Budget, I said that's stupid. I travelled a few hours to New York City and woke up the next day to catch my flight."
Opting for a smarter route, he grabbed a bargain train fare to New York for just $36.50 [£27.35] and then secured a slashed flight rate of $398.96 [£299] by flying from New York to Denver, Colorado.
Issuing his travel wisdom, Bradley advised: "Typically flights are so much cheaper if you fly out of major airports."
He also revealed how he dodges luggage fees by taking along a trusty large backpack that's been with him since his school days in 2008: "It's roomy so it fits a lot, but it's also squishy so it fits as a personal item," he added. Moreover, instead of shelling out extra cash for assigned seating, Bradley lets the airline pick his perch, saving even more money.
Further demonstrating his cost-effective ways, once in Denver, Bradley rented a car for a mere $99.80 [£74.77], firmly declaring: "I am sorry but I am not paying over $1,000 to fly when I know I can do it cheaper this way."
He capped off his savvy journey by enjoying what turned into "such a blast" and a mini-adventure, soaking in scenic views on a de facto road trip. "It was like a mini road trip within the trip," he enthused.
The journey, which included additional costs of tolls and petrol totalling £27.25, cost him a total of £428.22, meaning he managed to save £373.34 by opting for the more economical route.
Social media users were quick to comment on @baddie. brad's advice video. One person enthused: " Yes! I love flying into a major airport and then renting a car to drive to more remote parts!".
Another shared their own experience, saying: "I used to go to Wyoming for work and for real it is hundreds cheaper to fly into Denver and drive up," while another lamented: "That's crazy i was just in Wyoming and paid 1000 for my flight,".
One user was impressed by the money-saving tip, admitting: "My brain would never be this creative to save money,".
However, some pointed out that the trick only works if you have the time. One person noted: "He has so much time to use instead of spending the money. Some people don't have the time to save the money. Travelling for a cheaper flight, right there is where most people can't/won't be able to."
Another added: "While I get this concept my time also has a value and for me personally I would have to take it into consideration. I did a road trip to Florida over the holidays because airfare was too expensive."
One other questioned: "So like does your time not matter? Because sometimes spending a little more for your time is worth it".

Keegan Bradley has admitted that he could be the first playing captain in the Ryder Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963 after climbing to a career-high seventh in the world following his dramatic win in the Travelers Championship in Connecticut. The 39-year-old birdied the last hole TPC River Highlands to land the title for a second time in four years, pipping Tommy Fleetwood by a shot as the Englishman's wait for a first PGA Tour win continued following a closing bogey. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Bradley, who is set to be Luke Donald's opposite number at Bethpage Black on Long Island in September, is now up to ninth on the US points list for the Ryder Cup and is aware that a very tough call indeed is seeming more likely than ever. US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley shows off the trophy along with his wife Jillian and sons Logan and Cooper after winning the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut |'Listen, this changes the story a little bit,' said Bradley as he savoured his eighth PGA Tour title triumph. 'I never would have thought about playing if I hadn't won. This definitely opens the door to play. I don't know if I'm going to do it or not, but I certainly have to take a pretty hard look at what's best for the team and we'll see.' Bradley, a two-time Ryder Cup player, including an appearance at Gleneagles in 2014, was appointed as Zach Johnson's successor after Tiger Woods ruled himself out for this captaincy, with speculation that he'll lead the US instead at Adare Manor in Ireland in 2027. 'When the PGA of America called me, and Zach Johnson was on the call, (then PGA of America CEO) Seth Waugh was the person who called me,' said Bradley, who signed off with a 68 to finish with a 15-under-par total as he pipped Fleetwood for a first prize worth $3.8 million. But, you know, I'm also fortunate, if Tiger [Woods] or Phil [Mickelson] or these guys got a captaincy at my age, they would have done it the same way. I've just been lucky enough to be asked to do this at a younger age. Keegan Bradley reacts to holing the winning putt in the Travelers Championship |'To be honest with you, I never really planned on playing. I really wanted to just be the captain. I really felt strongly about that. I want to serve the guys. They asked me to do a job. I want to do it to the best of my abilities. 'Now, with the amazing vice captains that I have, and I have a better perspective of playing in the Presidents Cup and being around a lot of the guys, I feel a lot more comfortable if I went that route. 'I'm really proud of the guys that are vice captains, including Jim Furyk, one of the greatest players to play and also an incredibly great captain at the Presidents Cup.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Fleetwood, who will almost certainly be on the European team at Bethpage Black, bogeyed both the 16th and 18th as his bid to land a maiden win on the US circuit agonisingly slipped from his grasp. 'Fair play to him,' he said of Bradley, 'but still feel like from where I was, I should at least be in a playoff. So, yeah, it's a crappy way to finish.' Asked how he'd process this disappointment, the Englishman replied: 'I'm upset now, I'm angry. But, when it calms down, I'll look at the things that I did well, look at the things that I can learn from.'

Liberty Poole shared terrifying hot air balloon ordeal before fatal Brazil crash
Former Love Island star Liberty Poole shared her concerns about taking hot air balloon trips, revealing she was unsure about the level of safety she experienced when she previously took to the air Love Island star Liberty Poole warned of the dangers of hot air balloon rides amid the tragic deaths of at least eight when such a floating aircraft became engulfed in flames in Brasil this week. Reality star Liberty, 25, had taken to the air herself recently, but did not enjoy the trip. Taking to social media, including via TikTok and Instagram, the former Love Island contestant shared footage and insights from her experience. She captioned her video, writing: "Social media Vs reality: Hot Air Balloon edition." The clips showed her looking comfortable while up in the air, fanning herself and at ease. The footage then cut to a clip of the star screaming shouting out in fear alongside others as they returned to the ground with a thud and they were forced to assume the brace position. Liberty also wrote in a caption: "The unexpected... I ticked it off my bucket list but think it's going to be a one time only thing lol." In further footage, Liberty shared further insight into her experience where she outlined an apparent lack of safety for her trip. Warning that she did not have a relaxing time, she revealed: "I didn't realise when you actually get into a hot air balloon, it's not upright." Giving a detailed description of what she went through, she continued: "You lay on the floor to get in. So you're actually not strapped in. Nothing. You have this tiny bit of rope to hold. "And as the hot air balloon goes up, the basket just sits up. But as you come down, you have to go the other way." Her description was interspliced with footage of her going up in the air and returning to earth. She revealed: "So we were told to basically just hold on to this rope and sit and crouch down to land." Going on to suggest she may not have had the safest overall experience, she added: "However, I don't know if that landing was normal." Liberty's account of her experience has drawn attention from fans over the weekend as a hot air balloon in Brasil caught fire while in the air. Horrifying footage went viral showing the giant balloon becoming engulfed in flames before plunging to the ground along with the basket full of visitors. Reports revealed that at least eight people died and 13 others were injured in the horror incident. The crash took place in Santa Catarina on Saturday and it was confirmed 21 people were on board including the pilot. Jorginho Mello, the Governor of Santa Catarina, shared his shock over the incident in a video that was posted on X following the disaster. He said: "We are in mourning. A tragedy has happened. We will see how it unfolds, what happened, why it happened. But the important thing now is for the state structure to do what it can."

'World's best theme park' is just hours away from UK but has no rides
If you are looking for an alternative holiday spot this summer, one woman has just the recommendation. Despite being named 'best theme park in the world' twice, Puy du Fou in the Pays de la Loire region of France remains a hidden gem to many. Travel expert Bonnie Rakhit posted a clip on TikTok showcasing her visit to what she claims is the country's "best kept secret." "It's without doubt the most magical theme park I have ever visited," she exclaimed. Just an hour's drive from Nantes, Bonnie suggests the site is the perfect quick getaway from the UK. So what makes this place so unique? "There are no rides here," says Bonnie. "Instead you go on a time-travelling adventure from Roman gladiators to Viking raids, and the legend of King Arthur to the splendour of the Palace of Versailles across 50 hectares of breathtaking scenery." Bonnie also notes that the park is home to 20 internationally acclaimed shows, providing an all-encompassing experience for the entire family. Each spectacle has been translated into English, with scripts accessible through the park's mobile app. "The magic doesn't stop at night," Bonnie added. "We stayed at Le Grand Siecle - a hotel inspired by Louis XIV's Court. There's also a medieval village, a Camelot-style tented camp, an ancient Roman town and a castle called the Citadel." Concluding her review, Bonnie said Puy Du Fou plays host to over 2.8million visitors annually. "It's easy to see why," she said. "It's inspiring and completely unique - this isn't just a theme park, it's a journey through time. Add it to your bucket list." Engaging with her post on TikTok, one fan raved: "I have been a few times and it is insane, seriously amazing. The Coliseum is crazy!" Another person remarked: "I love Puy de Fou, used to live in Nantes and went many times. The evening shows are amazing! Planet Sauvage is also fab and the best safari park I have ever seen." Whilst a third praised: "This is genuinely the best park I have ever been to! So incredible I would say Europa Park is good for rollercoasters (although i don't think it's the best one in Europe but it's nice) but Puy Du Fou is amazing for story telling! Like incredibly impressive!". According to the English language section of the Puy de Fou official website, prices for an overnight stay start from £63.38 per person. This not only includes entry to the park and all its spectacles but also an overnight hotel stay complete with breakfast (at either an on-site hotel or in partnership accommodations near Puy du Fou) and complimentary translation services for all attractions. For those looking to visit the park alone, tickets are available for one, two, or three-day adventures, kicking off at a modest £31.69 per person. The site further states: "The Puy du Fou experience is designed for all ages to enjoy. Children and parents alike will be captivated all the way through as the shows are short and feature many amazing effects. "The few scenes that may alarm very young children due to their spectacular realism are indicated by a symbol in the mobile app and Visitor Guide."
