The release of theJordan Spizike Low'Bordeaux' has the seal of approval from former presidentBarack Obama. This colorway first made waves in January 2012 when legendary filmmakerSpike Leegifted a pair of the original Spizike high-tops to Barack Obama. Now, Nike revisits the iconic design with a more accessible low-top silhouette — reimagining a classic through a modern lens.
The Spizike Low pulls elements from several classic Air Jordan models. Elephant print overlays on the toe and heel nod to the Air Jordan 3, while the signature wings on the collar take inspiration from the Air Jordan 4, adding both lacing support and visual contrast. A grid-patterned eyestay in Surf Blue, paired with matching collar lining, adds a vibrant touch, with varsity red laces popping against the sleek black and white upper for added texture and dimension.
The heel branding brings it all home, featuring Spike Lee's iconic Mars Blackmon logo on the left shoe and the 40 Acres and a Mule logo — his production company — on the right, both stamped in Surf Blue and Varsity Red for a bold finish.

Nike delays the release of its new activewear line with Kim Kardashian
The eagerly anticipated collaboration between Kim Kardashian and Nike has delayed its launch. NikeSkims, which was announced in February for a spring release, is pushing back its launch date because of production delays, according to a source familiar with the situation. A new date hasn't been revealed. The collection is an extension of Kardashian's popular shapewear line and aimed at disrupting the 'global fitness and activewear industry with best-in-class innovation in service of all women athletes,' according to a previous press release. Few details about NikeSkims have been made available, including pricing and images. The webpage hasn't been updated since the original announcement. The Kardashian-backed collection with Skims is a first for Nike, which hasn't partnered with an outside company before to create a new brand. Instead, it has relied on acquisitions or tapping popular athletes (i.e. Michael Jordan) for apparel. Broadening the appeal of Nike is part of CEO Elliott Hill's plan to revive the troubled company, whose stock has dropped 20% this year. In recent years, the company has lost its competitive edge in the activewear category against Lululemon, Alo and even Old Navy. Nike recently announced hiked prices on some of its products, although it didn't mention higher US tariffs as the reason. The company said in a previous statement that 'we regularly evaluate our business and make pricing adjustments as part of our seasonal planning.' The company is also trying to recover from strategy mistakes. It is scaling back the supply of its classic sneaker lines Air Force 1 and Pegasus to juice demand in order to sell the sneakers at full prices. Nike also wants to push shoppers to buy higher-priced Air Max shoes designed for running. Nike (NKE) releases earnings next Thursday.

Michelle Obama says she is ‘so glad' she didn't have a son: ‘Would have been a Barack Obama'
She's not kidding around. Former first lady Michelle Obama said she was 'glad' she didn't have a son because he would have turned out exactly like her husband, former President Barack Obama. Obama, 61, doled out the ego-checking barb on Wednesday's episode of 'IMO,' the podcast she hosts with her brother Craig Robinson, as the siblings were chatting with Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez, who suggested the mother of two 'should have threw a boy in the mix.' 'I'm so glad I didn't have a boy,' Sasha and Malia's mom plainly stated. 'Because he would have been a Barack Obama. Ooh,' the 'Becoming' author said, looking down and shaking her head for emphasis. Michelle Obama, 61, said she was glad not to have a son because he would have turned out exactly like her husband, former President Barack Obama. Getty Images 'Baby Barack! It would have been amazing,' Martinez enthusiastically countered. 'No, I woulda felt for him,' Obama said. The episode focused extensively on parenting male children as Martinez has one son and Robinson has three boys. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Obama's musings pointed to a potential preoccupation with her 32-year marriage to the former president — which many have speculated is on the rocks. 'Teach [your son] about how to deal with the traffic stop, but also teach him how to communicate in a marriage and to be a listening father,' Obama said before scoffing at the idea of having a baby Barack. Barack and Michelle on a date night as many speculate that their marriage could be headed for divorce. Michelle Obama/instagram Despite the possibly unintended jab, Michelle praised her hubby for his parenting prowess just last week in an interview with rock legend — and noted Democrat — Bruce Springsteen. 'I think Barack is just like you as a tremendous father, doing it in a lot of grandeur, right,' Obama told The Boss on the June 11 'IMO.' As rumors of the couple's divorce swirled, the Obamas went on a high-visibility date in Midtown Manhattan at the swanky Lowell Hotel restaurant last month and were seen cozying up on another restaurant date in Washington, DC, in April. The 'Overcoming' scribe revealed that she is currently in therapy and is 'transitioning' to a different phase of her life.
