NFL keeps 'Tush Push' in play
The NFL won't ban the 'Tush Push', keeping the Eagles' high-success play in the game—for now.
The Kelce brothers are expanding their empire.
Already success stories on NFL fields, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce have also found success in the media landscape with their "New Heights" podcast. Jason just managed to help his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, avoid the "tush push" ban at the owners meetings.
Now the duo, who co-own Garage Beer, a beer company, are acquiring a football team.
On Thursday, Garage Beer announced that they the Kelces are now owners of the St. Joseph Goats, who play in The Arena League. The professional indoor football team plays in St. Joseph, Missouri, which is where the Kansas City Chiefs hold training camp.
"Garage Beer – the crisp, uncomplicated lager co-owned by Jason and Travis Kelce – is proud to officially announce that we are now owners of the St. Joseph Goats, a professional indoor football team from St. Joseph, Missouri competing in The Arena League," the company said in a statement.
"From the beer fridge to the front office, the Goats are now powered by the same crisp, uncomplicated energy that fuels Garage Beer. This is more than a sponsorship – it's a bold, possibly confusing leap into the world of professional sports ownership, and we couldn't be more excited."
The company teased the move on Wednesday, announcing they were in the final stages of the acquisition.
'While we can't share the team name, city, league, mascot, or parking situation just yet, we can say that it involves football – the real kind, with helmets, touchdowns, tailgates, and of course, ice cold beers,' the post said on Wednesday.
The Ohio native Kelce brothers purchased the ownership stake in the Ohio-based Garage Beers in June 2024.
Goats home games are played the St. Joseph Civic Arena and are coached by Dorsey Golston III. The new ownership said exclusive merchandise, behind-the-scenes content and more updates will be coming soon.
