When is 'How to Train Your Dragon' coming to streaming? Here's our best guess
DreamWorks is whisking us away on a fantastical adventure with Hiccup and Toothless in the live-action remake of "How to Train Your Dragon."
Fifteen years after the original movie, this new release takes us back to the island of Berk and reintroduces us to its Viking residents, who have been warring with dragons for generations.
Amid all the trouble, Hiccup (Mason Thames) befriends the lovable Night Fury dragon, Toothless, and their unlikely bond challenges the very foundations of Viking society.
Despite trepidation around this trend of remakes, "How to Train Your Dragon" looks to be off to a flying start. The new release is Certified Fresh on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, and currently holds a near-perfect 99% rating from fans, too.
Waiting to watch "How to Train Your Dragon" from the comfort of your own sofa? Well, we do not currently have a confirmed home release date for the new movie.
However, if you're waiting to watch the live-action movie at home, or you've already seen it and want to relive the adventure all over again, here's my best guess at the "How to Train Your Dragon" streaming date.
At the time of writing, the only way to watch the live-action "How to Train Your Dragon" remake is by heading to your local movie theater, and seeing as it only came to theaters on June 13, that probably won't change for a while yet.
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
And, of course, would-be streamers will first have to wait for the movie to do the rounds on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms, first.
However, being a Universal release, we can at least presume that when "How to Train Your Dragon" comes to streaming, it'll first be made available to watch on Peacock.
At the time of writing, I'd guess that "How to Train Your Dragon" will come to Peacock at some point in October 2025.
That's based on how long we've waited for past DreamWorks features to come to NBCUniversal's streamer. For example, we waited 120 days between "The Wild Robot's" theatrical and streaming debut.
Similarly, "Dog Man" came to Peacock on Friday, May 30, 120 days after it premiered in theaters on January 31, while "Kung Fu Panda 4" had a slightly quicker turnaround, arriving on Peacock 106 days after hitting theaters in March 2024.
Of course, if the "How to Train Your Dragon" live-action remake really takes flight at the box office, there's always the chance it might stay in theaters even longer. And, of course, that above release window is just a guess; nothing's official just yet.
As and when we get a confirmed "How To Train Your Dragon" streaming date, we'll be sure to update this article and include it here, so keep checking back.

That's right, Peacock has finally dropped the absurdly attractive, barely clothed cast of Love Island USA Season 7 and darling, it's giving 'hot people with no business forming sentences.' The cultural reset is back. The sex appeal is criminal. And if this cast doesn't scream 'we skipped brain day at the gym,' I don't know what does. Streaming June 3, the new season descends on Fiji, where ten genetically unfair individuals will fake fall in love for public validation, PR opportunities, and maybe a little trauma bonding on national TV. Let's meet the cast who will be swapping spit, sobbing in slow motion, and giving us at least five memeable meltdowns before the third recoupling. These aren't contestants. These are walking pheromones in designer swimwear. America, prepare to lose your dignity and your will to live. He's a personal trainer which is reality TV code for 'emotionally unavailable with a god complex.' He has 32 abs and not a single healthy attachment style. The golden retriever boyfriend type. She's stomping in stilettos over your relationship. God's favorite ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix returns to host with more poise, power, and post-cheating glow than ever. Vanderpump Rules may have birthed her but Love Island USA is where she reigns. She's giving glam. She's giving goddess. She's giving 'Tom who?' Narration duties are still in the messy hands of Iain Stirling, whose savage voiceovers could ruin your life faster than a text from your ex at 2AM. Welcome to Fiji. Also known as the world's sexiest group therapy session. Producers have promised more twists, more betrayal, and more unplanned pregnancy scares than ever before. The villa is bigger. Or something cooked up by a deranged producer in the dark. Every episode is a ticking time bomb. Every 'I really like you' is a prelude to betrayal. Every night ends in tears, temptation, or both. And we'll be watching with popcorn and a prayer. Peacock has turned Love Island into an international hot people empire and we're just the horny little peasants lapping it up. Currently streaming or coming soon Love Island: Beyond the Villa Love Island Games (Seasons 1 and 2) Love Island UK: All Stars Love Island South Africa and Spain Love Island USA Seasons 4 to 6 Season 6 broke every Peacock record and if Season 7 doesn't top it we riot in bikinis. Weekend Box Office: ‘Dragon' Slaying '28 Years Later' And ‘Elio'
Mason Thames in "How to Train Your Dragon." How to Train Your Dragon is projected to top the domestic box office again ahead of newcomers 28 Days Later and Elio. The live-action version of the 2010 animated hit How to Train Your Dragon is projected by Deadline to earn $35.2 million in its second-weekend frame from 4,373 theaters, which is below the trade publication's forecast of $40 million earlier this week. If Deadline's projection holds, it will up Universal Pictures' How to Train Your Dragon's domestic tally to $158.6 million through Sunday. Meanwhile, director Danny Boyle's zombie thriller 28 Years Later is projected by Deadline to gross $28 million to $30 million from 3,444 theaters through Sunday, which is in line with the trade's projections earlier this week. The projected weekend domestic tally is on the low end, however, of Box Office Pro's long-range tracking for 28 Years Later, which on June 7 was forecasting a $30 million to $40 million opening. Released by Sony Pictures Entertainment, 28 Years Later — which stars Ralph Fiennes, Jodie Comer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson — had a production budget of $60 million before prints and advertising, Deadline reported. A scene from "Elio." 'Elio' Tops Projections But Has A Lot Of Ground To Make Up Disney and Pixar's animated sci-fi adventure Elio is projected by Deadline to earn $22 million to $24 million from 3,750 million in its opening weekend frame, which is ahead of the trade's $20 million-plus forecast from earlier this week. Still, an opening weekend tally of $24 million domestically falls far short of Box Office Pro's long-range tracking forecast from May 31, which pegged the film to open in the $35 million to $45 million range. Elio a lot of ground to make up in the long term, since the film cost $150 million before its marketing spend, Deadline noted. By contrast, Disney's Pixar's Inside Out 2 opened with $154.2 million from 4,440 North American theaters a little over a year ago. There's also one other newcomer this week — Bride Hard — though it's not opening nearly as wide as 28 Years Later or Elio. Directed by Con Air and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider helmer Simon West, Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp's action comedy Bride Hard is debuting in 2,000 theaters domestically. Bride Hard is the product of Magenta Light Studios, which distributed last summer's indie serial killer thriller Strange Darling. Note: This box office report will be updated throughout the weekend with the most current numbers as they become available. The final numbers for this weekend's box office will be released on Monday.

Love Island USA Couple Have Sex in the Villa
Season 7 of Love Island USA is on fire! While many couples are still exploring, one couple has been the exception. Jeremiah Brown and Huda Mustafa became a couple from the jump, and have only been interested in each other. The couple even scored the first date of the season, and they hit up a water park. How romantic! Well, now the duo has taken their relationship even further. While Huda and Jeremiah have encouraged each other to explore, they also don't want anyone else. Viewers have seen the couple shower together. So, maybe the fact that they had sex isn't such a shock. Jeremiah and Huda did the deed during Episode 12, and they were caught on night-vision camera getting busy in the villa. Of course, they are also in a room full of other people, in close proximity. Islander Cierra Ortega found out the details. 'You had sex?' she asked Huda privately. 'Low-key, yeah. I won't give details on when or how, but all I will say is that it did happen,' Huda replied. I'm guessing that when it happened wasn't a mystery to the rest of the Love Island USA cast. However, there could be trouble ahead for the duo. Summer House star Paige DeSorbo hosted the show's next challenge, titled 'Got Wood.' When Jeremy selected Oliandra Carthen's name, he went in for a full kiss. Previously, he gave other contestants a peck on the cheek because of his respect for Huda. 'A challenge is a challenge. I'm not going to go in there and not do nothing because I'm scared,' Jeremiah said in his confessional. 'I'm here to play, I'm here to do the challenge.' The couple previously hit a bumpy patch when Huda revealed that she has a daughter. After overcoming his surprise, Jeremiah seemed cool with Huda's news. Only time will tell if this couple will go the distance. Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock. TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT HUDA AND JEREMIAH HAVING SEX IN THE VILLA? WAS IT A MISTAKE?
