Aston Martin DB12 Volante Palm Beach Edition: Exterior
This special edition DB12 Volante features a Frosted Glass Blue exterior, a Q-exclusive paint that uses fine glass flakes in the topcoat to produce a shimmering effect. Due to the complexity of the finish, it can only be applied by hand. The vehicle also includes Club Sport White pinstripes along the front splitter, side sills, and rear bumper and rides on Gloss Jet Black diamond-turned wheels. Exterior details such as aluminium side strakes also reference the palm motif.

Inside, the car adopts a nautical-themed duotone leather interior in Aurora Blue and Ivory, accented with Spicy Red stitching. A recurring palm-leaf motif appears throughout the cabin, including on the seat embroidery, centre armrest, and door sills. The dashboard features Palm Beach's geographic coordinates, while open-pore Linear Light Olive Ash wood trim was selected to resemble the texture of palm wood. Metal inlays on the seat backs are engraved with the words 'Palm Beach.'
The interior features light shades along with premium wooden finishing,
Pedro Mota, Regional President of Aston Martin The Americas, said the collaboration highlights the design flexibility offered by the Q by Aston Martin service. 'We have created an exceptional sports car that merges performance, artistry and luxury," Mota stated.
Q by Aston Martin specialises in tailor-made commissions, offering clients a wide range of customisation options—from colour schemes to unique interior detailing. The Palm Beach Edition is one example of how local identity and personal preferences can shape the final design.
While the car remains a one-off project, it reflects the growing trend of ultra-personalised vehicles among high-end manufacturers, especially in markets like South Florida, where luxury cars are often seen as extensions of individual style. Aston Martin DB12 Volante Palm Beach Edition: Engine and performance
The engine inside is the same, AMG-sourced 4-litre V8 unit with a twin-turbo producing 662 bhp of power and 800 Nm of peak torque. This power is channelled to the rear axle through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, assisted by an electronic rear differential. It can achieve an acceleration of 0-100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds, trailing the coupe by only 0.1 seconds. It gets a top speed of 325 kmph.

'I'm happy for Fernando Alonso to wander into any garage': Aston Martin boss Andy Cowell on Alonso's Alpine visits

Image credit: Aston Martin/X A lot is happening at Aston Martin apart from the action on track. In the latest development, rumors started floating around Fernando Alonso over his frequent visits to Alpine's area during the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. But before the speculations could catch more fire, Aston Martin Team Principal Andy Cowell laughed it off and expressed faith in Alonso's commitment to remain a part of the team until 2026 and maybe beyond. Is Fernando Alonso planning a return to Alpine? Rumors around Fernando Alonso's interest in Alpine began circulating when Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft drew attention to the Aston Martin driver's frequent visits to Alpine's hospitality suite. Croft said, 'Is something going on that could see Fernando Alonso back at Enstone again for a fourth time? Watch this space on that one, that's just the paddock rumour.' Alonso was part of Alpine in 2021–22, and the rumor suggested that he was planning to go back to the team amid his struggles at Aston Martin. When asked about Alonso venturing into Alpine's garage so frequently and casually, Aston Martin Team Principal Andy Cowell told Sky Sports, 'I'm happy for Fernando to wander into any garage. He knows lots of people up and down the pit lane.' He further added about Alonso's future at the team, 'I'm also happy with the fact that he's contracted to us next year and hopefully will stay with us long term as an ambassador with us. It's great working with Fernando, it's always good to have a competitive person that pushes just like you used to [Rosberg] at Mercedes and pushes the team on and galvanises the team.' Fernando Alonso's future at Aston Martin Aston Martin hopes to turn the tables in 2026 when the new regulations are put in place, from which they intend to benefit, with their new technical director Adrian Newey putting in his best to create the best car for 2026. Fernando Alonso recently told the media, including "It has been challenging, but we have understood and we know the problem in the car now, but we cannot put too much focus into solving the problem." He further said, "Even if there is a change in regulations, we need to somehow find better performance with this year's car, and we need to be better. Even if we had a fast car now, there are a couple of areas we need to keep improving, so we are trying to use 2025 to tackle these and be ready for [Newey] as well." Masterstroke by Amazon as company officially enters quick commerce race with…, Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart plan to…

New Delhi: In a major development, e-commerce giant Amazon has launched its Amazon Now service in three pin codes of Bengaluru. Amazon Now, which is the company's official entry into the ultra-fast delivery segment, will now compete with rivals Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart which already dominate the market. According to a Moneycontrol report, the launch follows a pilot that began in December 2024 and indicates the company's intention to regain market share, as Indian consumers increasingly move from traditional 1–2 day deliveries to rapid 10–30 minute deliveries for daily essentials and groceries. The American e-commerce giant is likely to expand the service to other places in Bengaluru in coming weeks before scaling it to other cities. It is important to note that Amazon NOW's entry comes at a time when quick commerce platforms are not only witnessing quick adoption but are also starting to capture the share of legacy e-commerce players like Flipkart and Amazon itself. According to a recent report by Flipkart and Bain & Company, over two-thirds of online grocery orders and about 10 percent of overall e-retail spending in 2024 occurred on quick commerce platforms. To recall, Eternal (formerly Zomato) founder Deepinder Goyal earlier had said that the quick commerce firms were burning over Rs 5,000 crore each quarter—with Zepto alone accounting for more than half of that. Industry leaders have already been bracing for a more competitive phase. 'Our view is that competition is going to intensify further from here in the near term…We will aggressively look to grow our market share, especially in the face of heightened competition, and will not let any short-term profitability goals come in the way of that,' Eternal CFO Akshant Goyal said in a letter to shareholders following its Q4FY25 results.

Canadian GP: Leclerc crashes, Russell tops in practice

George Russell set the pace for Mercedes in the second Canadian Grand Prix practice on Friday after Red Bull's Formula One champion Max Verstappen led the opening session at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc sat out the later session after crashing in the first, leaving mechanics plenty of work to repair the car. Aston Martin's Lance Stroll, who missed the previous race in Spain due to hand and wrist pain, crashed at turn seven in second practice for his home grand prix and smashed the front left suspension. Russell's time of one minute 12.123 seconds compared to Verstappen's earlier afternoon effort of 1:13.193. The pair qualified on the front row last year with identical times, with Russell on pole but Verstappen going on to win the race for a third year in a row. They also clashed in Spain two weekends ago, with Verstappen left on the brink of a ban after driving into the Mercedes. The Dutch driver was only ninth in Friday's second practice, behind Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, with McLaren's Lando Norris the closest to Russell and only 0.028 slower. 'The car is jumping like crazy in the rear, like the ride is terrible,' reported Verstappen over the radio. Mercedes' strong form was emphasised by Russell's rookie teammate Kimi Antonelli setting the third best time, 0.288 off the pace. Piastri leads Norris by 10 points after nine of the season's 24 rounds. Williams' Alex Albon was second and fourth in the sessions, but strangely missed his garage when pitting in the second and had to go around again, with teammate Carlos Sainz third and seventh. Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso ended the day fifth. Leclerc brought out the red flags when he hit the wall at the second chicane with 45 minutes remaining, causing extensive damage to his Ferrari. Ferrari said the survival cell needed to be replaced.
