FERMANAGH AND KILDARE have booked their place in the Tailteann Cup semi-finals following respective victories over Sligo and Offaly.

The defeat for Sligo was followed by the departure of their manager Tony McEntee after four years at the helm.
'Sligo GAA this evening expressed its thanks and appreciation for the contribution over the past five years of Tony McEntee who has announced that he is standing down from his position as senior team manager,' a statement from Sligo GAA.
'The Crossmaglen native took charge of Sligo in spring 2021. He led the team on 58 occasions, making him the longest serving manager in Sligo history, winning 34 games, the highest winning percentage of any Sligo manager.

'Sligo GAA chairman Declan Rouse thanked Tony for his commitment and contribution. 'There is a lot of good work being done throughout Sligo football and Tony has contributed hugely to that effort.
'Over the past five seasons Tony and his colleagues have built a strong culture of performance which leaves us well positioned for the future.
'He has helped us create some great memories and we believe the future is bright. We wish Tony the best in his adventure – hopefully, not against us'.'
Fermanagh progressed to the last four following a two-point victory in Brewster Park, with Garvan Jones scoring four points including a two-pointer.
Sligo led after the opening quarter when Niall Murphy struck for a goal to give them a 1-5 to 0-4 advantage. But Fermanagh responded strongly through points from Jones, Ryan Lyons and Conor Love to bring them back level. Further scores from Ronan McCaffrey and Darragh McGurn pushed them into a 0-14 to 1-6 lead at half-time.
Sligo were back to within one after a David Quinn two-pointer but Fermanagh shifted through the gears and hit four unanswered points. Sligo fought back again as Pat Spillane landed a two-pointer and another point to cut the deficit to two at the death, but it wasn't enough as Fermangh sealed the win.
A vital goal from James McGrath, and seven points from Alex Beirne, helped Kildare hold off a late Offaly rally in the other Tailteann Cup quarter-final. The Lilywhites were 1-13 to 0-9 in front with just under 25 minutes remaining, but were just four ahead with 17 minutes to go.
Two two-pointers from Jordan Hayes helped bring Offaly roaring back into contention. Darragh Kirwan and Mick O'Grady responded for Kildare along with Beirne to help keep them in front. That final burst combined with McGrath's first-half goal proved to be the difference as Kildare held on for a one-point victory.

The Aviva stadium will be at full capacity with over 51,000 spectators expected. There are four GAA games taking place on Saturday and Sunday in Croke Park, including the Tailteann Cup semi-finals. These will draw large crowds to Jones' Road. In Fairview Park US indie band Kingfishr will play to a sold-out audience on Saturday evening. Gardaí have also warned that there are two planned 'public gatherings' taking place in Dublin city centre on Sunday afternoon, which will mean rolling road closures and some disruption to LUAS and Dublin Bus services. What should I expect? Gardaí will be out in full force to keep the city safe and help manage the crowds and traffic. The Green Line's nearest stop is Broombridge. Expect a 30- to 40-minute walk from these stops to the concert area. Park and Ride facilities are available and booking return tickets before you travel is recommended to avoid queues. Use a TFI Leap Card if you have one. If you are heading to see the Lions game at the Aviva stadium be mindful that road closures will be in place around the Ballsbridge area. The DART is the best way to get there, with stops at Lansdowne Road and Sandymount stations close by. If driving, expect delays on Shelbourne Road and nearby streets. If you're going to Croke Park this weekend to see one of the games it is accessible by LUAS (Red Line, Parnell or Abbey Street stops) and Dublin Bus. Road closures will affect areas around Jones' Road and Drumcondra, so public transport is the easier option. If you're going to see Kingfishr at Fairview Park it is best accessed by Dublin Bus or a short walk from LUAS Green Line stops like Broombridge. Roads near Fairview and Clontarf will have closures, so plan ahead. What advice are Dublin Bus, Irish Rail and Luas giving for the busy weekend ahead? Irish Rail is running extra services to help manage the large crowds expected from June 20 to 22. Late-night trains will operate from Heuston station after the Phoenix Park concerts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, heading to major destinations including Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Belfast. Additional trains will also run on the Maynooth and Drogheda commuter lines to accommodate increased passenger numbers. Dublin Bus is implementing multiple route diversions due to concert traffic and other roadworks, with detailed changes affecting key routes like 11, 26, 37, 38, and 69. Thousands expected in Dublin across weekend for major events
Thousands of people are expected in Dublin this weekend with a large number of major events being held across the capital. Gardaí have said that the public transport network as well as roads in and around the city centre will be busy across the weekend, with people asked to plan their journeys well in advance. The Phoenix Park will play host to three major concerts, with US country star Zach Bryan taking the stage tonight, tomorrow evening and Sunday evening. Organisers say up to 180,000 fans are expected to attend the gigs across the weekend. In Fairview Park, Dundalk folk group The Mary Wallopers will play a sold-out concert this evening before US indie band Kingfishr perform in the north Dublin venue tomorrow night. The British and Irish Lions will kick off their six-week campaign with their first ever test match in Ireland, with the Aviva Stadium expected to be at full capacity. Around 51,000 spectators are set to watch Andy Farrell's side take on Argentina at 8pm this evening. There will be two Croke Park double headers this weekend. Tomorrow, Dublin will take on Limerick in the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final at 4pm. This will be followed by the All Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter final between Dublin and Cork at 6.15pm. On Sunday, both Tailteann Cup semi-finals will be hosted in Croker back to back. Wicklow take on Limerick at 2pm followed by Kildare vs Fermanagh at 4pm. There are also two public gatherings planned for Dublin city centre on Sunday afternoon, which are expected to lead to road closures. Speaking ahead of this weekend's events, Assistant Commissioner for Dublin, Paul Cleary said: "This weekend is packed with lots of activity and with the summer weather also looking promising, we look forward to helping to welcome thousands of people into Dublin to make the most of their weekend. "This summer's public events would not be able to go ahead were it not for the gardaí that will be working above and beyond this weekend and for the remainder of the summer to keep people safe. "Should you feel unsafe or need our assistance in any way over the weekend, please contact us or stop anyone of us on our high-visibility patrols across the city, and in an emergency or immediate danger, always dial 999/112."
