WWE Smackdown results: Wyatt Sicks strike again and flatten Street Profits, Fraxiom, and other tag teams
The tag team division on SmackDown is in complete chaos after a violent attack by the Wyatt Sicks. Just as things seemed to be heating up with several teams claiming they deserved a shot at the titles, the lights went out and everything changed.
The Street Profits started the conversation with a confident promo in Knoxville, Tennessee. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins reminded everyone they had the tag division on lock before Wyatt Sicks ruined their last match. Then came the Motor City Machine Guns. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley stepped up and said they wanted a title opportunity as well.
Fraxiom joined the mix with Nathan Frazer saying they never got a fair chance and that they were ready to run it back. Axiom backed him up and said nobody beat them last week. That led to more arguing until Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa showed up. With Candice LeRae speaking for them, DIY claimed that none of the other teams deserved a shot.

In the middle of all the noise, the arena went black. When the lights returned, Uncle Howdy was standing on the turnbuckles. One by one, the Wyatt Sicks tore through everyone in sight. Erick Rowan pulled the Motor City Machine Guns to the floor and left them out cold. Dexter Lumis attacked the Street Profits with no hesitation. Joe Gacy blindsided Fraxiom while Nikki Cross launched herself off the announce desk to take out Candice LeRae.
Nathan Frazer tried to get back on his feet, but walked right into a devastating Sister Abigail from Uncle Howdy. It was a chilling scene as every tag team lay broken in and around the ring. The Wyatt Sicks stood tall without saying a single word.
With Money in the Bank 2025 only a week away, this segment shook up the entire tag division. No one knows who will get a title shot now, or even who is left to challenge. What is clear is that the Wyatt Sicks are not just here to haunt the show. They are here to take control.

WWE sets a US title match between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia
WWE has added another blockbuster clash in the upcoming big event of Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, which is slated to start on June 28, 2025. Following an exciting promotion at the recently held SmackDown, WWE has now announced a new title match between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Earlier during the Money in the Bank event, Solo Sikoa's grip on The Bloodline has started to slip. After being betrayed by Jacob Fatu during the match, Sikoa found himself defeated and exposed, leaving the faction with just its core members, Sikoa and JC Mateo. Owing to this situation, WWE introduced a new bloodline faction member– Hikuleo. However, following a tense exchange on Friday's SmackDown, Jacob Fatu will defend his United States Championship against former Bloodline ally Solo Sikoa next Saturday. Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa to lock horns at the Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia On the June 20 edition of SmackDown, Fatu and Solo's rivalry reached its peak. During the promotions, Solo seemingly tried reconciling, but it did not work out. He rather received a backlash from Fatu, who accused him of being jealous from the time he became a champion. This heated argument and confrontation ended in a brawl, with Jimmy Uso caught in the crossfire. In response, WWE formally announced their title match for Night of Champions. Confirming about the upcoming feud between Fatu and Sikoa, WWE wrote: 'United States Champion Jacob Fatu with take on his former ally Solo Sikoa in a highly-personal title showdown at WWE Night of Champions. Although Fatu captured the United States Title, Solo seemed to feel he was superior to The Samoan Werewolf, bringing in JC Mateo without Fatu knowing and belittling the titleholder behind his back." "After Fatu overheard one of these digs, however, he had enough and ultimately cost Sikoa his opportunity to capture the Money in the Bank contract as he screamed, 'I hate you, Solo!' The WWE preview further read: 'After Solo failed in his attempt to bring Fatu back into the fold, he and Mateo launched a two-on-one assault on their former 'brother' on SmackDown, a move that brought Jimmy Uso to the ring to aid the champion and led directly to the Night of Champions title matchup.' Who is Matt Cardona? The former WWE star who just called out John Cena
Image via WWE Former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona, better known to longtime fans as Zack Ryder, is back in the spotlight after being name-dropped by none other than John Cena during a fiery promo on SmackDown. Cena, in a throwback to CM Punk's infamous 2011 'pipebomb,' directly mentioned Cardona alongside Claudio Castagnoli and Nic Nemeth, sparking speculation and excitement across the wrestling world. Cardona didn't take long to respond. The current NWA World Champion posted a cheeky 'Hey @JohnCena' message on X (formerly Twitter), making it clear he heard Cena loud and clear. While the moment caught many fans off-guard, it's hardly surprising for those who've been following Cardona's remarkable journey since his WWE release in 2020. — TheMattCardona (@TheMattCardona) How Zack Ryder won over the WWE universe Matt Cardona began his wrestling journey in New York Wrestling Connection before joining WWE's developmental system in the mid-2000s. He rose to mainstream attention as Zack Ryder, forming part of the tag team 'La Familia' alongside Curt Hawkins and Edge. But it was his solo run, particularly his YouTube series 'Z! True Long Island Story' - that truly set him apart. At a time when fan voices were just starting to influence creative decisions, Ryder's videos turned him from a mid-card talent into a cult favorite. That push culminated in a United States Championship win in 2011, followed by a memorable (and chaotic) storyline involving John Cena and Eve Torres. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Eat 1 Teaspoon Every Night, See What Happens A Week Later Health Wellness Journal Watch More Undo Zack Ryder's most memorable moments: WWE Playlist Despite a loyal fanbase, Ryder was pushed back down the card in later years. A surprise Intercontinental Title win at WrestleMania 32 offered a brief resurgence, but soon after, he was back in tag team action with Curt Hawkins. WWE released him in 2020 as part of pandemic-era budget cuts. Far from slowing down, Cardona used his WWE exit as fuel. He rebranded himself under his real name and made a mark across the independent wrestling scene. He won titles in GCW, Impact Wrestling, and NWA, building a reputation as a tough, unpredictable performer willing to take risks. Cardona has often teased a return to WWE, but on his terms. 'I would only come back as Matt Cardona,' he said in a previous interview, ruling out a full-time return to his Zack Ryder persona. Now, with Cena's reference reigniting buzz, fans are once again speculating: Could Matt Cardona be WWE-bound? For now, the former Internet Champion seems happy to play spoiler - and maybe stir the pot one more time.
