iQOO Z10 Lite is official with Dimensity 6300 and 6,000mAh battery
The iQOO Z10 Lite is the latest addition to the series, and it slots in as the most affordable entry with its INR 9,999 ($115) launch price. The device is also expected to launch soon as the vivo T4 Lite.
iQOO Z10 Lite
Z10 Lite is built around a 6.74-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 1,000 nits peak local brightness and features a 5MP front-facing camera.
There's a 50MP main cam around the back, which is paired alongside a 2MP depth helper. MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 sits at the helm, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, with the latter being expandable. The phone features a 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging and is also IP64 rated.
The software side is covered by Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and iQOO is pledging three years of security updates. Z10 Lite also brings a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and a headphone jack.
iQOO Z10 Lite comes in Titanium Blue and Cyber Green colors. Pricing in India starts at INR 9,999 ($115) for the 4/128GB trim. The 6/128GB version is INR 10,999 ($127) while the 8/256GB trim will go for INR 12,999 ($150).
SBI cards are eligible for an INR 500 flat discount. Open sales are set to begin on June 25 via the iQOO online store and Amazon India.

MediaTek announces the Dimensity 8450 with minor improvements
MediaTek announced the new Dimensity 8450, a direct successor to the Dimensity 8400 released back in December 2024. As the name implies, the upgrades are minimal, and the company introduced mostly under-the-hood changes. Interestingly, there's already a phone running the silicon - the Oppo Reno14 Pro. The Dimensity 8450 is still based on TSMC's second-generation 4nm node with an octa-core CPU with 1x Cortex-X4 core ticking at 3.25 GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 cores running at 3.0 GHz and 4x Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz. The GPU is Mali-G720 MC7 with 7 cores and it's clocked at 1300 MHz. If it sounds familiar, that's because the Dimensity 8400 runs on the same exact hardware. However, the newer chipset boasts gaming and ISP optimizations. The GPU, for instance, now uses the StarSpeed Engine, improving real-world gaming, while the improved ISP has live-stream optimizations. The ISP is capable of handling 320MP sensors with zero-lag HDR imaging. The NPU 880 receives some love too with Agentic AI Engine that allows support for on-device GenAI and LLM workloads. Lastly, the Dimensity 8450's 5G modem gets a new power-saving feature, UltraSave 3.0+, to reduce energy consumption. There is a very good reason why you should hold off buying the iPhone 17 Air for a couple of years
It sounds unbelievable, but the unveiling of the new iPhone 17 series is only about two and a half months away. The spotlight will be on the rumored new ultra-thin iPhone model that has been dubbed the iPhone 17 Air. This model reportedly will be powered by the A19 application processor (AP), not the A19 Pro AP. It also will supposedly feature 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM which is just enough to allow the phone to support Apple Intelligence. The iPhone 17 Air could be as thin as 5.5mm which would make it the thinnest iPhone ever shipped taking the title from the iPhone 6 (6.9mm). It would even be thinner than last year's M4-powered iPad Air. Both the 11-inch and 13-inch variants weigh in at 6.1mm thin. The iPhone 17 Air will also challenge the 11-inch M4-powered iPad Pro which is 5.3mm thin. Being so thin, we expect the iPhone 17 Air to be a little shortchanged in the battery department since the device has limited internal space for a larger battery to fit. So those looking to purchase the iPhone 17 Air this year do have to consider the possibility that their iPhone 17 Air units will be handicapped as far as battery life is concerned. In fact, a new report out of Korea suggests that those thinking about purchasing the iPhone 17 Air this year should try to hold off until 2027's iPhone 19 Air. The report says that Apple is looking to add a new low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin-film transistor (TFT) organic light-emitting diode (OLED) to the iPhone 19 series expected to be released in 2027. What this could do is reduce the battery munching ways of the display. Apple hasn't decided yet whether to use this new technology. This decision will be made during this year's third quarter and most analysts expect Apple to use the technology on the iPhone 19 Air.
