Exclusive- Sheetal Maulik: TV's daily connection with the audience makes it rewarding
While TV actors have a very hectic life, the chance to reach so many people at once is what makes the medium a favourite, says actress Sheetal Maulik. Sheetal, who plays the role of Priya in Meri Bhavya Life, says that TV characters are more relatable and people love to follow their stories on screen. 'TV is indeed demanding, but the daily connection with the audience makes it rewarding. A daily soap allows actors to build a strong bond with viewers, making their characters more relatable and endearing. Actors immerse themselves in their characters' emotions, making their portrayals authentic and engaging. Some viewers might imitate actors in real life, which can be a testament to the actor's convincing performance,' she says. Talking about the importance of feedback, she says, 'My family's feedback matters greatly to me, as their support and encouragement motivate me to perform better. Their pride in my work is a significant driving force behind my passion for acting.' She adds, 'I focus on positive feedback and ignore negative comments, as trolls often seek attention. I've learned to develop a thick skin and not let criticism affect my self-worth or passion for my craft.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Morocco: New Container Houses (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search Ads Search Now Undo Meanwhile, she says that the show has a lot of upcoming twists and turns for the audience. Salman Khan doesn't spare Aamir Khan, Netflix or Sikandar on Kapil Sharma's show: ‘Aamir jab tak marriage ko perfect nahi kar lega…'
Ever since its days on television, The Great Indian Kapil Show has been a constant source of laughter and entertainment for the Indian audience. Earlier known as Comedy Nights with Kapil, the show has since then moved to Netflix, and it is coming back with a new season. Netflix India, along with Kapil Sharma, made the announcement on their official website and on Instagram. To add to the excitement of fans, the makers have also revealed that the very first episode will feature mega-star Salman Khan. Now, the teaser of the first episode of The Great India Kapil Show season 3, featuring Salman Khan, has landed and it seems Bollywood's Bhai is really letting his guard down as he takes swipes at everyone from Netflix to Aamir Khan's two marriages and the disastrous response to his own latest release, Sikandar. A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) The video released on Instagram shows Kapil walking out to the grand set of the show with Navjot Singh Sidhu's voice in the background saying, 'Every moment from today will be packed with fun.' The whole nation is ready to laugh along. It then cuts away to text on screen that gives us a hint of our first celebrity guest of the new season. The text reads, 'Naye season ki shuruaat, Sikandar ke saath (We will start the new season with 'Sikandar'),' which is a play on Salman's most recent role in the film Sikandar. Salman, who was also a producer of the show when it was on TV, walks out to the set and accuses Netflix of taking the show away from them and then calling him back for the next season. He says, 'Netflix has a lot of power.' ALSO READ: Vivek Agnihotri slams Bollywood 'Shahenshahs' who wave at crowds from balconies, inflate box office to make it seem like 'Tiger Zinda Hai' The caption of the post read, 'Sikandar's swag + Kapil's timing = BLOCKBUSTER. The Great Indian Kapil Show is back, aur har Funnyvaar badhega humara parivaar. Watch the first episode from 21st June, 8 pm, every Saturday only on Netflix.' Returning members of the talk show, like Krushna Abhishek, Archana Puran Singh, and Sunil Grover, are also seen doing skits with the actor. We get a peek into several segments from the first episode, including one where professional Salman Khan imitators join the actor on stage. Salman takes a dig at his own movie and asks them, 'Is everything fine? I hope Sikandar didn't have a bad effect on business.' The actor and Kapil are also seen singing the iconic track 'O Oh Jaane Jaana' together from the movie Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya (1998). When Kapil asked him when he will be tying the knot given Aamir Khan is dating again, Salman took a gentle swipe at Aamir, calling him a perfectionist. 'Wo jab tak marriage perfect nahi kar lega…' Salman laughed, letting his sentence trail. The new season will be releasing on June 21, and Sikandar is also now available for streaming on Netflix.

Prisha Dhatwalia opens up about plus size fashion in 'Meri Bhavya Life': The outfit should fit you, you shouldn't have to fit the outfit
Wedding bells are about to ring in 'Meri Bhavya Life' as Bhavya (played by Prisha Dhatwalia) and Rishank (Karan Vohra) prepare for their big day, a season of rituals, excitement, and the cherished search for that perfect bridal outfit. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now For many, it's a dream painted in pastels, fiery reds, or something uniquely their own. But behind the shimmer of sequins and silk lies a silent struggle, one that too often goes unnoticed. While most brides dream of their wedding look, plus-size women often face a different reality. In the current track of Meri Bhavya Life, Bhavya finds herself at the receiving end of cruel mind games by Rishank's mother, Sakshi. She guilt-trips Bhavya into wearing a dress that's clearly too tight, forcing Bhavya to make last-minute alterations just to feel comfortable. But Sakshi's plan doesn't end there. In front of a crowd, Bhavya's dupatta slips off, and photographers quickly start snapping pictures. Whispers and taunts follow with people commenting on how the dress doesn't fit and how her arms look 'off.' What was supposed to be a special moment turns into public embarrassment. Prisha Dhatwalia, who has become a voice for body positivity, opens up about how this kind of shaming is way too common and the emotional toll is takes on people who don't fit the 'desirable' size while bridal shopping. In a society obsessed with one-size-fits-all beauty standards, shopping for bridal wear when you don't fit the 'ideal' mold can become an emotionally taxing experience. Prisha Dhatwalia on plus size bridal fashion says, 'Everyone talks about how exciting it is to shop for your wedding outfit, the colours, the styles, the sparkle, but no one talks about the fear that creeps in when you know most of what's on the rack won't fit you. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Suddenly, the options shrink. You're either offered oversized silhouettes with no shape, or told you'll need to alter your body to wear the things you actually love. It's so unfair. There's so much pressure to 'transform' yourself for your wedding to go on crash diets, to hide your arms, to look 'slimmer' for the photos. I've heard so many brides say they'll only buy their outfit after they lose weight. Why? Why should the happiest moment of your life begin with shame and sacrifice? Your bridal outfit should celebrate you — not punish you. I believe that the outfit should fit you, you shouldn't have to fit the outfit. Every bride deserves to feel beautiful, celebrated, and comfortable on her big day, no matter her size. You shouldn't have to shrink yourself to fit into some fantasy that was never built for bodies like ours.' Remo D'Souza's wife Lizelle D'Souza opens up about her weight loss journey: 'You need to be a little selfish towards yourself'
