Oakley & Meta Announce New Performance AI Glasses With Help From Travis Scott & Tom Brady At Fanatics Fest
Source: Getty Images / Meta / Travis Scott Oakley and Meta launched a new pair of performance AI glasses with some help from the goat, Tom Brady, and Travis Scott. Kicking off Fanatics Fest in NYC, Oakley and Meta hosted a special event featuring a panel with Tom Brady, Travis Scott, and Michael Rubin, moderated by Caio Amato, Global President of Oakley. The primary focus of the panel was the art of partnership and collaboration, and Rubin, Brady, and Scott were the ideal individuals to have that discussion with, as each has numerous successful partnerships with brands and among themselves. Source: Getty Images / Oakley x Meta Before the event began, those fortunate enough to gain entry to the Meta Theater were required to place their phones in magnetically sealed pouches, as it was being promoted as a no-phone event. We learned why because Travis Scott wanted to ensure everyone was in the moment during his short but very electric performance, giving his diehard fans a taste of what his complete sets are like. Source: Getty Images / Oakley x Meta Scott made sure to call his 'ragers' to the front while performing hits like 'FE!N' and 'Butterfly Effect,' which got a pop out of the crowd that could probably be heard throughout the entire Javits Center. Source: Matt Monath / Oakley x Meta Scott also wore a pair of the bold Oakley Meta HSTN glasses during his performance, providing a hands-free first-person view of his electric performance for his fans who couldn't be in the building. Source: Getty Images / Oakley x Meta x Travis Scott As for the glasses, they will be available for preorder beginning July 11. Amato spoke about Oakley's partnership with Meta on the new Oakley Meta HSTN glasses. 'For 50 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of what is possible, obsessed with solving unsolved problems,' says Caio Amato, Global President of Oakley. 'Together with Meta we are setting new bounds of reality—It is not only about pushing forward performance, but also about amplifying human potential as never before. And this is just the first chapter of a new era for sports.' For more information on the Oakley Meta HSTN glasses, visit this link . Choosing the Right Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge: U.S. Market Guide 2025
As industrial safety standards and inspection demands continue to evolve in the United States, the importance of accurate, non-destructive testing (NDT) tools has never been higher. Among them, the ultrasonic thickness gauge is one of the most relied-upon devices for evaluating wall thickness, detecting corrosion, and ensuring the structural integrity of assets in industries such as oil and gas, infrastructure, marine, and manufacturing. If you're in the market for a reliable device in 2025, this guide will help you choose the right ultrasonic thickness gauge for your needs, with a spotlight on the value and versatility of the cygnus Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge—a leading choice for professionals across the U.S. Across the U.S., critical infrastructure continues to age. From bridges and oil pipelines to manufacturing plants and offshore rigs, accurate wall thickness measurements are essential for: Preventive maintenance Regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, API, ASME) Asset lifespan management Operational safety In 2025, inspectors and engineers demand more from their tools: higher accuracy, better data logging, and usability in extreme environments. Choosing the right ultrasonic thickness gauge isn't just about getting a reading—it's about integrating smarter, faster inspection methods into your workflow. When evaluating your options for 2025, consider the following must-have features: The ability to measure material thickness without removing coatings or paint is vital for in-service inspections. Look for gauges that support true through-coating functionality to save time and reduce surface prep. Multi-echo systems improve measurement reliability, especially on corroded, rough, or coated surfaces. This is a standard feature in advanced models like the cygnus Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge. Ensure the device can measure a variety of materials—steel, aluminum, plastics, composites—by offering adjustable or preset sound velocity options. For U.S. field inspectors working in everything from sub-zero environments in Alaska to humid Gulf refineries, ruggedness is non-negotiable. Choose gauges that are shockproof, waterproof, and drop-resistant. 2025 demands digital inspection records. Look for models with internal memory, USB/Bluetooth data transfer, and software compatibility for streamlined reporting. A clear, backlit display with intuitive menu navigation improves speed and accuracy in the field. Large screens and glove-friendly buttons are a plus for job site use. Modern gauges should provide long battery life with USB-C charging or swappable batteries for all-day use in the field. Needs: ATEX-rated, intrinsically safe models with corrosion detection on pipelines and pressure vessels. Needs: Through-coating measurements, especially on hulls and ballast tanks. Needs: Steel structure and bridge inspections where material access is limited to one side. Needs: Tube thickness measurements in boilers, condensers, and heat exchangers. In each of these sectors, durability, precision, and ease of use are paramount—and are key reasons why many U.S. professionals choose Cygnus gauges. One of the most trusted and widely used thickness gauges in the U.S. is the cygnus Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge. Known for its multi-echo technology, this device delivers consistent and accurate readings even on heavily corroded or painted surfaces. With intuitive controls, robust field-ready construction, and a proven track record in harsh environments, it's a go-to tool for professionals who require performance and reliability. Whether you're inspecting a bridge, pipeline, or offshore platform, cygnus gauges provide the precision you need without slowing down your inspection schedule. Cygnus Instruments, as a manufacturer and supplier, has become a recognized name in ultrasonic testing worldwide—and especially in the United States. Their focus on rugged design, user-friendly features, and technological innovation makes them a preferred choice for asset integrity teams, maintenance engineers, and third-party inspectors. Their instruments are trusted by organizations that include government infrastructure teams, energy companies, and U.S. Navy contractors—proof of their reliability and wide application in the American market. As 2025 continues to push the boundaries of safety, regulation, and industrial performance, investing in the right ultrasonic thickness gauge is more than just a procurement decision—it's a long-term asset protection strategy. The cygnus Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is one of the most complete and dependable tools available in the U.S. market. When sourced from Cygnus Instruments as a manufacturer and supplier, you're not just buying a device—you're gaining a trusted partner in precision inspection. TIME BUSINESS NEWS
