How to watch Indiana Fever vs Las Vegas Aces: TV/stream info, preview, tip off time
The Indiana Fever travel to Nevada to face the Las Vegas Aces Sunday afternoon at 3 PM ET. Caitlin Clark and co. hope to redeem themselves after an upsetting loss on the road to the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday night. Fever head coach Stephanie White, who missed the game in San Francisco, will also not be in attendance in Las Vegas due to a personal matter, according to ESPN. On the other side of the court, A'ja Wilson will seek her first win since returning from a concussion after losing to the Seattle Storm on Friday night. Caitlin Clark is back, but is she better than ever? On Thursday, Clark and the Fever fell to the Golden State Valkyries, 88-77, leaving fans to question Clark's consistency amid returning from a left quad strain. Though the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year dominated with 32 points in her first game back from injury against the New York Liberty, Clark had her worst shooting game of the season at the Chase Center on Thursday. She shot just 3-of-14 from the field and tied her season-low with 11 points. She missed all seven of her 3-point attempts and ultimately the Fever ended up blowing their 13-point lead. Even the Clark superfan, Barstool's Dave Portnoy, called out the former Iowa superstar for the loss. 'Caitlin had terrible game. Happy for Kate Martin tough,' said Portnoy on X later that night. Caitlin had terrible game. Happy for Kate Martin though. Also Golden State is 1st crowd I've seen that was a true home crowd that was there for their team and not for Caitlin. Good for WNBA Scuffle at Gainbridge Fieldhouse Thursday's loss came right after a very physical matchup between the Fever and the Connecticut Sun, where Sun guard Jacy Sheldon made contact with Clark's face, leading to Clark pushing back and Sun forward Marina Mabrey pushing Clark to the floor. Originally, the officials ruled a flagrant foul on Sheldon and a technical foul on Mabrey. The following day, the WNBA confirmed to IndyStar that Mabrey's foul would be upgraded to a Flagrant 2. If Mabrey's Flagrant 2 was called during the game on Tuesday, she would have been ejected from the court. Instead, she will have to pay the standard fine. And the scuffle didn't stop there. At the tail end of the quarter, Fever guard Sophie Cunningham pulled Sheldon to the ground as she was going up for a layup, leading to yet another altercation between the two teams. Regardless, Clark scored 20 points, and the Fever dominated the Sun 88-71 to officially secure a Commissioner's Cup spot with a 4-1 record. So now the question that remains: How will Clark and company fare against superstar A'ja Wilson, who is a top contender for Defensive Player of the Year, on Sunday after all of this heat and without their head coach? Here's everything you need to know before tuning in to Sunday's game. Caitlin Clark Had Strong Words for Valkyries Fans
Caitlin Clark Had Strong Words for Valkyries Fans originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Caitlin Clark did not have the best of games in her first time in San Francisco. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year was held to just 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting on Thursday as the Indiana Fever fell to the Golden State Valkyries, 88-77. Advertisement This was also Clark's first time to play at Chase Center, which is also the home stadium of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. While the Valkyries might not have as strong a following as the Warriors, there's no denying that the fans have shown their unwavering support for the WNBA's newest expansion team. Clark was asked to share her thoughts on the Valkyries faithful before Thursday's game, and the 23-year-old had nothing but praise for the fans. 'These people aren't just showing up to sit in a seat and check a box of being here," she said. "They really seem like they're here to support and cheer and appreciate women's basketball. I think that's the coolest thing. "They love it and wanna be a part of it. They kinda want to be the sixth player for this team to help them win. I feel like they have done that to this point. It's just been really cool to see. Obviously, as a player, you really do appreciate that.' Clark would have loved to mark her first game at Chase Center with a win, but this just wasn't the case on Thursday night. The Valkyries turned in a total team effort to hand the Fever their first loss in three games--much to the delight of the adoring home crowd. This will be an opportunity for Clark to get some revenge against the Valkyries and turn in a much better performance in front of their home supporters. Exciting Kaitlyn Chen News Features Paige Bueckers Twist
Exciting Kaitlyn Chen News Features Paige Bueckers Twist originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kaitlyn Chen is finally getting her shot at the WNBA, and it couldn't come at a better time for her. On Sunday, the Golden State Valkyries signed Chen to a contract amid their need for more players. It comes after a number of their players — such as Janelle Salaun, Julie Vanloo, Cecilia Zandalasini and Temi Fagbenle — took a temporary leave to join their respective nations for EuroBasket 2025. Advertisement According to the Valkyries, the 23-year-old guard will be immediately available to play when they return to action on Tuesday. What many fans quickly noticed about the announcement, however, was the team that the Valkyries will be facing in Chen's first game: the Dallas Wings. The Wings have Paige Bueckers, whom they drafted No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft. The star guard was also teammates with Chen with the UConn Huskies, and they both won the national championship together this past college basketball season. With that said, fans couldn't help but get excited about Chen's signing and the timing of her first game with the Valkyries. "Chen vs Paige, going to be so fun to watch," a commenter wrote. Another excited supporter said, "[Expletive] Kaitlyn!!! And we get our K&P reunion." Advertisement "Against Dallas. Lol," a follower noted, clearly seeing the Chen-Bueckers connection. A fan remarked, "Nat thinks she's slick. She wants her to guard Paige." "Yay!! Her and Paige get to reunite.. so happy for her and the Valks," a social media user shared. A sixth poster gushed, "JUST IN TIME FOR A UCONN REUNION." Former UConn Huskies players Paige Bueckers, Aubrey Griffin and Kaitlyn Chen. Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images It remains to be seen how much playing time Kaitlyn Chen will get and if she will have the chance to guard Paige Bueckers. One thing is certain, though: the Wings-Valkyries showdown is a must-watch with its UConn storyline.
