Daisy Lowe marries partner of five years Jordan Saul in low-key London ceremony
Congratulations are in order for Daisy Lowe, who has married long-term partner Jordan Saul. The couple had a low-key affair in London, surrounded by family - Daisy's dad Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale wasn't present, but he is expected to attend a bigger ceremony later in the year. The wedding was attended by property developer Jordan's family and friends, along with Daisy's mother Pearl and her stepfather Danny Goffey, as well as her godmother Zoe Grace, and her half-siblings Betty, Alfie and Frankie. Betty shared some gorgeous photos of the post-wedding reception, where guests tucked into pasta and tiramisu at Brutto, an Italian restaurant in East London. Daisy and Jordan met while they were walking their dogs in lockdown, and they welcomed daughter Ivy two years ago. The model recently said she would be 'moving to, and marrying in Somerset' where her parents Pearl and Danny live. She told Somerset Life magazine: 'I will coordinate Ivy with me and my bridesmaids, she'll be a little flower girl but I'm still trying to figure it all out.' 'Jordan is really practical whereas I'm the creative one, so I need him to make certain decisions and he lets me get on with the creative stuff,' she said. 'But having a toddler, planning a wedding and a new home is quite a lot.' Speaking to the Standard in 2023, the star said motherhood, while 'very special', had been 'harder' than she had anticipated. She said: 'Everyone says it is hard, but that is always theoretical [before you have a baby] and then in practice, you are like: 'This is really hard!' Nothing can prepare you. It is extraordinary [...] It is very special.' She said her father, Gavin Rossdale, had travelled over to London to visit his grandchild when she was nine weeks old. Daisy found out Gavin was her dad when she was a teen, after taking a paternity test. The model said: 'He asked me how I am. And I said I am so lucky and I am so grateful, but it is so hard.' She said he replied: 'I really want you to remember that you are not just that, it is really important for you and for her that you know you are not only mum.' 'It was really kind and insightful, and I have thought about that a lot. To be the best mum to her I have to look after myself as well. If I am not looking after myself, then I am useless to her.'

On today's General Hospital recap: Jordan tells Anna that Curtis' marriage is in trouble and how she feels about it. She complains about Portia and doesn't have much sympathy for her. Anna asks if Jordan would go back to Curtis if the marriage ended. Isaiah tells Lulu that Lucky asked him to check up on her. Lulu interrupts Anna and Jordan's conversation. She apologizes to Anna for what happened with Charlotte and knows the shooting was an accident. Anna says it's great Charlotte has a parent now who can guide her. Isaiah checks in with Jordan on her job with Sidwell. He says he's sorry for how things ended between them, and she agrees. Jordan says the timing wasn't right for them. Trina updates Josslyn on the results of Kai's surgery and her anger with the documentary filmmaker. Trina says Kai's dreams are destroyed and blames Drew. Trina says Drew is a user and hopes someone will stop him. Trina says she's been keeping quiet about Drew because she doesn't want friction between her and Kai. Josslyn is certain once it's proven Drew set up Tracy, no one will believe him again. She's certain Drew will be taken down by someone and Trina hopes Kai is not around when it happens. Kai explains to Drew about the surgery result and how all the time he put into his football career was for nothing. Kai mentions the documentary, but Drew tells him not to worry about it. Jenz says he wants to end Sonny's influence in the city. He says he wants to expand his business here and doesn't want to get involved with mob shootouts. Sonny says if the referendum passes, the city will take the piers away, but Jenz isn't worried. Jenz says Sonny could live out the rest of his life safe and secure with his family, and he wonders if that's a threat. Jenz says if he wanted violence against Sonny, it would have happened a long time ago. Sonny brings up Michael's accident, but Jenz says family is off limits. Sonny says he will protect his family and the city from everyone including Sidwell. He tells Jenz to take his money and shove it where the sun don't shine. Marco talks to Lucas about his mother getting arrested and how he took her case. He says she was offered a deal by the ADA against Sonny. Marco's worried Natalia is in both Turner and Sonny's crosshairs. Marco talks about his relationship with his father and Lucas worries about being so close to the criminal aspect. ‘Bad Shabbos' is a mediocre movie
Advertisement Jordan's favorite tenants are Ellen (Sedgwick) and her husband Richie (Paymer), who reside in apartment 10B with their slacker son, Adam (Theo Taplitz). Their other children, Abby (Milana Vayntrub) and David (Jon Bass), and David's fiancé, Meg (Meghan Leathers), are arriving for Shabbat dinner when the film opens. The title of the movie is a play on the 'good Shabbos' greeting everyone offers as they arrive. Menemsha Films The entire neighborhood, including Jordan, knows that Meg's Catholic parents, John (Lloyd) and Beth (Catherine Curtin) will be meeting David's family for the first time at this dinner. They're not happy about their daughter converting to Judaism, and Ellen is equally unhappy that her eldest son isn't marrying a nice Jewish woman. Meg's folks are coming all the way from Milwaukee. Abby's boyfriend, Benjamin (Ashley Zukerman), is coming from Williamsburg, which is a far shorter commute. Benjamin and Adam have a vituperative hatred of one another, which will prove fatal before a single loaf of challah is broken. Advertisement In the screenplay by director Daniel Robbins and Zach Weiner, Jordan serves the same purpose as Winston Wolf: There's a dead body that needs to be disposed of before John and Beth arrive at the house, and time is running out. 'Bad Shabbos' shoots itself in the tuchus by telling us what happens to the dead body in the opening scene, robbing the frenetic goings-on of any suspense. The body belongs to Benjamin, who cracks his skull when a prank pulled by Adam goes horribly awry. From here, 'Bad Shabbos' becomes an endless series of scenes where these unlikable characters bicker and fight while trying to dispose of the body. Once Jordan gets involved, the film manages some laughs and a hint of cleverness, especially during the dinner scene that serves as the centerpiece. David Paymer and Kyra Sedgwick in 'Bad Shabbos.' Menemsha Films Dead body disposal comedies like this either lean into their darkness, like the dreadful Christian Slater movie, 'Very Bad Things,' or go for broad situation comedy laughs like 'Weekend at Bernie's.' This film is too chicken to aim for the former, so it has to make Benjamin a bigger louse than Adam so that our loyalties remain with a family covering up involuntary manslaughter. That ploy doesn't work, and the constant family bickering yields only intermittent chuckles instead of the desired cringe comedy shudders. Paymer seems to be having a ball as the self-help book quoting patriarch. Bass and Vayntrub are convincing as siblings, but Taplitz is too off-putting to generate any sympathy. Sedgwick is saddled with a stereotypical role, but her character's disproving facial expressions and passive-aggressive attitude toward her future daughter-in-law ring true. Advertisement I didn't expect the characters to turn on one another like in Danny Boyle's darker dead body comedy 'Shallow Grave.' But I also wasn't expecting the rather offensive deus ex machina or the resulting tacked on happy ending that followed it. Neither did the film any favors, because these elements felt like a cheat. Thank goodness for Method Man, who understood the assignment and made the film watchable and fun whenever Jordan showed up. When he isn't on screen, 'Bad Shabbos' is a mediocre movie. ★★ BAD SHABBOS Directed by Daniel Robbins. Written by Robbins, Zach Weiner.
