Young Irish star joins star-studded cast of new Hunger Games prequel
An Irish actor has landed a highly after role in the latest movie instalment from the hugely popular Hunger Games film franchise.
The latest novel, Sunrise on the Reaping, serves as a prequel to the original Hunger Games trilogy and sold a staggering 1.5m copies in the first week following its release in March.

Ben Wang, Jesse Plemons, Joseph Zeda, Kelvin Harrison Jr, Lili Taylor, Maya Hawke, Mckenna Grace, Ralph Fiennes and Whitney Peak have all already been confirmed as cast members.
And now McCann will bring some Irish star power, with the child actor confirmed to play the character Louella McCoy in the series.
The news came as part of a double announcement, with Iona Bell confirmed to take on the role of Lou Lou.

First look: Saipan trailer released showing Éanna Hardwicke as Roy Keane
A teaser trailer has been released for an upcoming film that focuses on an infamous confrontation in Irish football history. Saipan will tell the story of the clash between Republic of Ireland football captain Roy Keane and his national team manager Mick McCarthy during the team's preparations for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Screenplay writer Paul Fraser recently told the Irish Examiner the Saipan drama was a huge international story. 'In the UK, he was massive, Roy Keane, and anyone who knows football also knows who Mick McCarthy is. So it's a story that's international as well as huge in Ireland. It was just massive, and I think divided the nation.' There is no release date yet for Saipan but it is coming soon to Irish cinemas.
